Friday was a team picture day for both the AFC and NFC squads. After that was a light walk-through for each team. Brandon and his fiancee took a helicopter tour around the island. I’ve been itching to get in the water for a long time, so I passed and raced down the 16 floors and jumped into the crisp, clear ocean.
The report from the helicopter ride was very positive. There were some scary moments, including one that Brandon described as “we don’t have time to turn, just throw this thing in reverse and let’s get out of here!” They flew right next to a water fall, over Diamond Head crater among other places on the island.
Today, after a brief walkthrough at the stadium, Brandon continued to pursue his golfing hobby. He took the sport up this offseason and admitted is “struggling, but enjoying it.”
I know Brandon has enjoyed the week of events both on and off the field. He is soaking it all in, trying to learn from his AFC teammates while enjoying the time with his family.
I managed to catch up with Casey Wiegmann, too, briefly today. He and his family have been enjoying their trip to Hawaii. They’ve spent some time touring Pearl Harbor (separately from Brandon), shopping and relaxing by the pool.
I hiked up Diamond Head today, followed by an extended dip in the ocean and pool near the hotel. Tonight, I wandered around Waikiki’s Block Party and bumped into Tony Scheffler. He is also enjoying being in Hawaii and hopes to earn his own trip to the Pro Bowl next year.
For those that weren’t sure, Brandon gave me the green light to post his engagement in my previous entry. Brandon was very excited about it and wanted to be able to let his fans know directly from him (via me).
I’ll try to put a couple blogs up during the game Sunday.
Until then, mahalo.

thatnks dave i really think if the voting is right next year we could have all them guys in the pro bowl next year clady royal and sheff are all pro bowl players to me
I think seeing the Pro Bowl Festivities should motivate Clady, Scheffler, and Royal to be better so they can get invited next year.
ok i think with the line being horrible yesterday Jay did a great job. and how respectful was he letting the vetran Collins go before him
yeah its too bad Jay had to time to even finish a dropback yesterday, he needed Clady and Harris protecting the edge. it would have been so great to see him pull off the comeback.. he was really slinging the ball too, that thing had a whole lotta zip on it
Correction: Jay didnt have time*
i was at the game,,it was an amazing atmosphere..so much commraderie..
Jay looked like he was haing fun out there…he got in there late at the time the game got on the line and wow was the pass rushing defense on,,unfortunate for him…wow, was Joe Thomas man-handled down here..lol…
i got to take a photo of him and Marshall,,,it was awesome,,couldnt catch Casey on time….
now,,off season is offically on…
The Lions have released Leigh Bodden today! SIGN HIM!
So 15thmarshall15, your saying you wouldnt want Calvin Johnson, or Ernie Sims either? Bodden would be a great pick up, he could challenge Bly for the 2nd spot and could be a good nickleback if he didnt win the job
im not gunna bash u like them 15thmarshall15 but i do agree with these guys Champ plays on our 29th ranked D and N E team in the NFL would pick him up if we dropped him. the Lions were never on the right page last year and then they made a disaster by signing culpepper. these guys there talkin bout cant be worse then Paymah
learn something about the game.. buddy you sound like you cant be much older than 16 yrs old.. just by the lack of effective use of english.. i played for 7 years and i coach high school football now.. sorry to burst your bubble but i know a thing or two about the game
i dont see how you can think he’s not any good.. dont look at last year alone, sure he only had 1 INT, how many did Champ have? does that mean Champ is no good? no, Champ is still the best.. dont be a fool for stats, the guy can play
i agree with you raiderhater, look at the last 6 years, defensive rookie of the year.. mayo, willis, ryans, merriman, vilma, suggs.. peppers (DE), then two more linebackers.. so 8 of the last 9 years.. i think Maualuga is the next guy to be added to the list, so if Raji and he are still on the board come the 12th pick, im preying they call Rey’s name
smart choice lynch4prez…..we cant pass up an athlete like mauluga..
just a question,,like some “mock” drafts have been saying..if and only if, a guy like Curry falls to us at the 12th with Mauluga and Raji still hangin around…would you take him???
CLint Sintim of Virginia (6’3 250) would be a nice pick in the mid-rounds..
I recall that the Patriots (just a reference…ahah) run a 3-4 with a slightly smaller NT in Vince Wilfork (he just runs on a high powered motor), but they have massive DEs..it still worked out well considering they have larger physical LBs to fill that void….
not saying its a guarantee but IF we could hve Peppers (at 6’7 290 lbs-ish>with insane speed) and Marcus Thomas at DEs, we could pull it off,,a stable front…but dont knw if Thomas fits the bill..
just add the Joker linebackers in place and big LBs and we could have a legit pass rush and run-stuffer crew….like a hybrid of Pats/Steelers?a hint of Ravens?.ahah
just my thoughts….
Can you women stop fighting over who we should and shouldn’t pick up? I mean really it doesn’t matter how much experience or knowledge you have or if you coach HIGH SCHOOl or pee wee. (not an obscene remark)
The fact is none of us are coach McDenver** (my nickname for him) and none of us have any real say in who we sign, draft, cut or trade. The down to earth fact is that we all have our own opinions on who we should get to improve our team, and we all have players we would like to see in a Bronco uniform.
Personally I don’t think that we will see a big FA splash from coach McDenver in his first year. So rule out Haynesworth because he already said he wants to be the highest paid defensive player in the NFL.
Peppers would be a good sign but is our coach that risky in his first year with a new team? Also what will it take to sign him and does he want to come since his D coach is going to be running a 3-4 in GB. I know he wants to play a 3-4 but I think he’ll go to Green Bay where they basically just need a DE for the transformation. We need 2 DE fit for the scheme, a DT, and another solid ILB and possibly OLB. Where would you go if you were him, all biasm aside!?
Suggs wants to stay in baltimore, lewis is old and wants to go to Dallas for his mama! Dawkins I don’t think will escape phili, and there is no way idiot Al Davis lets go of Nhamdi!
So here is my opinion guys. Really we have waited too long for a real defense again, but really we will be waiting a few more years. If there is anything that anyone knows about switching to the 3-4 is that it never happens in 1 year. You can’t force it on personell that don’t fit the scheme. We learned that this year didn’t we? It is a series of years, and we will start that transformation this year. I think we will see similar hybrids of the 3-4 much the way that Arizona did this year in our next season.
But as for one year switch we can’t do it and stay under cap.
Bj Raji would be a great NT, but do we really go after him or try and snag another ILB ready for the 3-4 which we need?
My opinion and what I would like to see that would be a good move:
Draft an ILB with the 1st round pick. I think Ray Mauluga (spelling?) is the best pick. Cushing like BONCOBAILEY99 said would be good to but I don’t think he will last to 20, and also not many teams trade 1st and 2nd round for a 1st rounder. Anyway draft ILB because whether its the 3-4 or the 4-3 we NEED a MLB, or another ILB. Draft a safety in the 2nd round, then another corner for depth, and a LB outside or in for depth as well.
I love Bly, great corner but he is not as great playing opposite of Champ. Nhamdi wouldn’t be either. Every team has a corner you don’t like to throw against, to be better on the other side you don’t need another guy that teams don’t like throwing against, you need a FAST GUTSY GUY! Try Bell or Jack Williams! Bly has lost a step in the last 2 years, he gets beat going deep and only recovers when the pass is underthrown. I hate to say it but I think we trade him and free up I believe 5.02 Million in cap space this year alone! Obviously other cuts are necessary but for my lengthy post I’ll cut to the point…..
Anyway mostly 4-3 this year guys with these spots:
RE: Dumerville
DT: Thomas, (brain fart) DT we drafted but got hurt and never saw?
LE: Moss, we need to give him a real chance especially if he will be a rushing outside LB in the 3-4
ROLB: DJ Williams rotate in Woodyard
MLB: Drafted player (hopefully Mauluga)/Larsen CUT WEBSTER AND NIKO
LOLB: Boss Bailey if he isn’t cut for cap space and injuries/Woodyard, Winborn or drafted player for depth
CB: OBVIOUSLY CHAMP!
CB: I think Bell starting cuz he hustles
Nickel Back: Williams then rotate in drafted DB’s
FS: Josh Barrett, he will be good just let him play
SS: Drafted or FA pickup, anythings better than M&M’s from last year
I’ll save the 3-4 consensius for another day. Sorry to those it bugs when I re-write the encyclopedia, except my football babe!
Anyway remember, everyone has their own opinion and while we might not agree or like it, you don’t have to respect it, but be respectful to the person it belongs to. Unless they are first disresepctful to us or our team!
Offense hold onto the ball!
Defense maintain the gaps!
Fans, KEEP the faith!
football babe, wear something enticing….. I need it tonight!
whatever we do in free agency it would be great to see a big pass rushing DE or a good cover safety who can read QB’s and break up plays.. i couldnt stand watching our D stop them on 1st and 2nd just to give up a first on 3rd and 6
Oh i agree take a risk on a great player v.s. not taking a great player! But I really doubt we fork out the money for Haynseworth and frankily someone that is just flat out in it for the money like that I wouldn’t want on our team. Now Peppers on the other hand I reall think we need to go after because he wants to be in a 3-4 and is great in a 4-3 which I bet we play majority of this year in.
What I was saying is that in his very first year as a head coach, I really don’t think he goes after someone that will cost the rest of the cap room in his first year. I never said I wouldn’t go after Peppers, said I wouldn’t go after Haynesworth, now McDenver could go after him. We’ll see, I bet he goes after Peppers, but don’t be surprised to see him get out bid because he doesn’t want to open up his boss’s pocket to much on his first year. He can’t expect the same leash that Shanny had, let alone in his first year! He will try for players, but he won’t try and compete with say like 90 Million dollar tags like other teams will in my opinion.
Also remember he is from NE, they tend to get their players through the draft and then when that player is great and demands money they replace him through…. the draft!
makes sense to start cutting players at the RB position, we have a bunch…kinda feel sour that alridge was let go too…
hope the coaches are right…
yeah i really wanted to see what Alridge could do in a real game, but even thought Shanny is gone i still have a feeling there will be a rookie or rookie-free agent on the roster going into the pre-season
I for one don’t regret letting any of those bums go. For one they could not stay healthy and could not impact the team long enough to get us where we should have been. Have you guys forgot about “WR” Jayson Foster I believe he played WR, QB, RB IN COLLEGE!!!!! this guy is like an Eddie Royal with an arm and the speed to make doulbe a(anthony alderidge) look slow.
I just want to reassure everyone that takes the time to post all there questions, thoughts, and dreams on this website. I want to just give a comforting word about the new coach in Denver. Josh McDaniel’s is a very, very sound minded and experienced coach, he has the potential to be the next great coach in this league.
Josh is the kind of guy that has a vision and sticks with that vision, until that vision becomes a reality. Every time I talk to this guy no matter what time of day or night. Josh, Josh McDaniel’s will definitely shock the NFL word this season with how, he and his expert team of advisers, or coaches turn around the horrible Bronco “D” and maximize the offensive potential……..oh, and lets not forget about the kicking game.
Men, brothers, friends………keep the faith and faint not. THIS YEAR, is our year. There will be a lot of rotation for repetition on the Denver “D” this year. Broncos will run both 4-3 and 3-4 depending on the types of teams we play.
I liked Chad Mustard. He was a do anything for the team guy. Block , catch
play o line and never got hurt unlike Nate Jackson who gets hurt every year.He is a waist of money and a roster spot.
willharm81, i totaly agree with you on everything that you said. However, im so fricking worried about our schedule next year..IT came at a horrible time..We prob. have the hardest schedule next year, some include, pats, eagles, giants, colts and much more..It will be a very fun year, and if THIS is our year then its the perfect time for this team to step up and show that we are contenders not push overs!
((sorry for the bad sentences hehehe))
Any one else worried about our new GM?!? He doesn’t wow me.
i think we will have the toughest schedule in the league..
chargers(x2) cheifs (x2) raiders (x2) giants cowboys eagles redskins steelers ravens bengals browns colts and patriots.. thats pretty insane
can someone please tell me how many pick do we have this year in the draft?
I think Laurinitus would be the smartest pick for us in the first round
831 Broncos I THINK 7.We have one pick that goes to the Jets for Roberson but I don’t know what round cuz it was based on his playing time. We get one from Seatle for Colbert who they cut weeks after the trade. I don’t know what round we got for him. We might get some extra if any one signs our free agents.
MY BRONCOS MOCK DRAFT
1-LAURINAUTIS(ILB, OHIO STATE,)
2-DEMONTE’ BOLDEN(DT, TENNESSE)
3-KEENEN LEWIS(CB, OREGON STATE)
4-TROY NOLAN(S, ARIZONA STATE)
5-JAVON RINGER(RB, MICHIGAN STATE)
6-TONY FIAMMETTA(RB, SYRACUSE)
7-DAVID VEIKUNE(DE, HAWAII)
GO TO NFL.COM AND READ ABOUT THESE PLAYERS
TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK
i think really we need to worry about getting a few hard hitters in the mid, and get a DE or 2 that can actualy pressure the CB…I really dont think safty or CB is a huge issue right now. Especially at RB….But does any 1 know if we kept our running backs coach? if not what will happen to our great run scheme???
Correction QB….Not CB >.> sorry tired
I TOOK A SECOND LOOK AT MY MOCK DRAFT AND REALIZED WERE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO GET A RB LIKE RINGER IN THE 5TH ROUND. I ALSO REALIZED THAT I MADE A FANTASY DRAFT
SO HERE IS MY NEW AND REAL MOCK DRAFT. THIS TIME I WILL EXPLAIN WHY I CHOSE THESE PLAYERS.
PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS, CRITICISM I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT OTHERS THINK.
1- REY MAUALUGA-LB-USC (I HAD A HARD TIME CHOOSING BETWEEN MAUALUGA AND LAURINAUTIS, BUT I DECIDED TO GO WITH THE BEST RUN STOPPING LB)
2-DEMONTE’ BOLDEN-DT-TENNESSE (BIG, STRONG, AND WHAT I’VE READ HE’S FAST FOR HIS SIZE)
3-DAVID VEIKUNE-DE-HAWAII (I LIKE THE STATS HE FINISHED WITH 73 TACKLES, 16.5 FOR LOSS, 9 SACKS AND 4 FORCED FUMBLES.)
4-DARCEL McBATH-SAFETY-TEXAS TECH (I THINK McBATH WILL FALL THIS LOW BEACUSE OF OTHER SAFETY’S GETTING MORE ATTENTION. IT WOULD BE A HUGE IMPROVEMENT TO OUR PASS DEFENSE IF WE GET THIS GUY, AND THATS NOT SOMETHING I READ ITS WHAT I’VE KNOW)
5-JAVARRIS WILLIAMS-RB-TENNESSE STATE (I WOULD RATHER HAVE JAVON RINGER HERE BUT IF WE CANT GET HIM WE GET AN UNDERRATED RB WHO’S BEST SKILL IS RUNNING THROUGH THE MIDDLE)
6-KEENAN LEWIS-CB-OREGON STATE (HERES ANOTHER PLAYER WHO DOES NOT GET A LOT OF ATTENTION BECAUSE OF ANOTHER TEAMATE MAKINNG MORE PLAYS. WHAT I’VE READ HE IS LIKE ASOMUGHA, QB DECIDE TO THROW THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF LEWIS. IF HE FALLS THIS LOW HE COULD BE A STEAL)
7-SAM SWANK-K-WAKE FOREST (If he can prove he’s over the groin injury, Swank’s high trajectory and leg drive should make him one of the more highly regarded placekickers of the 2009 draft.)
THE INFORMATION I PUT ON MOST PLAYERS EXCEPT FOR MAUALUGA AND McBATH IS WHATI READ ABOUT THEM.
I’M POSITIVE THIS WONT HAPPEN BUT, I HOPE WE DRAFT 3 OF THESE PLAYERS
831_Broncos_Fan…. I like your draft. Agreed on the need for run stuffin Mauluga…Veikune is an excellent 3-4 LB…he’ll probably good in the much later rounds..of course there could be better OLBs…
I’ve seen Keenan play,,amazing skills…we need a 6 feet CB…a couple in this years draft…
Beanie Wells sounds too good to be true..at 6’1 and well over 235lbs and a rumored 4.44 on the 40…that’s tempting for any offensive minded coach. I just hope our coaches pick the right ones first,,preferably defense..
bronco20 thanks for taking the time to read my mock draft
bronco blaze, can you come up with a list or the hard hitters inthe draft? I have a love for hard hitting def. every great def was hard hitting. and if we go 8 and 8 we will be lucky with the sch. we have.
2champ well put “can you women stop fighting……..”
I am tired of other teams castoffs. wiegmann this is not for your eyes, we as fans think our pickups are great but they areNOT. we cannot stop the run or the pass. last year my son was in bagdad and i told him we need to play our rockies and give them a chance to learn and play becouse our d suckes. he told me no, thats not the way it is done. my reply was the most important person is the qb and they did it to cutler so let the rockies play becouse we have some really good ones i was specifily talking about hillis and two on def. we need to “build threw the draft” even thuogh it is hard to figure. 80-90% can’t make the cut
as for the new GM I think he is gona have CLOUT, sounds like a man with a good head on his shoulders and book learning too.
willharm, i donot remember jayson foster, i don’t get all bronco games, when i looked him up it said he is 5’6″ tall is that a misprint?
no not a misprint and he isnt any good either he has never been of the practice squad this stuff is too hard to read. round two we should take michael johnson de if he falls to that spot, him or ron brace dt either could be available and if macho harris falls to third round thats our selection there
bronco-blaze,
Yes we retained Bobby Turner and the Special Teams Coach Burns.
Oh, and they kept Rick Dennison, the O-Line coach that works with “the Scheme”
i agree 15marshall15 on Victor “macho” harris..this kid is extremely athletic for his size, he was a teammate of Royal and Powell,, they might influence him..aha..but he is also a KR…he is a lays hits like a safety, best in cover 2
can’t doubt him, look at how Asante Samuels turned out..
I too would really love to see him with us…no guarantees with all the teams needing DBs this year…
I hear we have around 9 picks..not sure
I’d pick MLB Mauluga, DT Ron Brace, CB Victor Harris , OLBClint Sintim, or CB Dominique Johnson (6’1-195 lbs runs a 4.34 40), SS Rashard Johnson, CB Keenan Lewis (6’0-198 lbs runs a 4.44 40) and Patrick CHung (definitely a must)
I’d be content with atleast 3 of em..aha
Fred Taylor sign him he can still play
John Engleberger has been my wipping boy for three years so glad he is gone. I am so Happy we don’t have to watch him get pancaked two or three times a game. Good luck John.
Where is McCree and Boss Bailey and Dre Bly.
I’m so angry why did we let Nate Jackson go.
mccree is a free agent and bly and boss arent gonna get cut what do you know bones your funny boss is gonna start next year
Nate Jackson was probably let go because he is a 3rd string TE which we really dont need when we have a FB like Hillis who can catch better than some teams WR!
I agree that McCree should be let go as well, but he is a Free Agent this season anyway, so if we cut him we have to give him some money, better to just let him become a free agent! Boss Bailey I believe they will probably end up keep, or cutting right before the season starts if they are going to do so. But as of right now even with his injury proneness and a high salary. He can still play well, and he is at a position we are bound to need more depth at than before!
Dre Bly, you guys really need to get off his back, he is a great corner, a bit pricey at this time though. Reason so many of you hate on him is because he lines up across from champ! You compare him to champ, WHICH YOU CAN NOT DO, NO ONE COMPARES TO CHAMP!
Just think back over the past 2 seasons Bly has spent with us guys, I mean come on REALLY THINK ABOUT IT! With Champ in the game 90% of the balls go at Bly, the guy is getting older and with that much action YOU GET TIRED! But what I am saying to look at is the games in which Champ was out of due to injury or went out of due to injury. BLY SAVED 2 GAMES FOR US ALONE THIS YEAR! HE HAS DONE MORE THAN THAT OVER THE PAST TWO SEASONS! He can still play, he is a top noch corner, and really if it wasn’t for opposing teams fear of Champ, all you haters would see it!
The defense being made, I love the guy, but really won’t be surprised if he isn’t on our team next season, his contract is actually more expensive than Champ’s if I remember right, so that would free up cap space to get a real DT, and some DE’s for the 3-4! But really I hope that we do NOT cut Bly! Try and find a trade partner for him if we are to part ways! He is too good and has too much left in him to just be cast off and not get anything out of him.
All the other cuts I agree with that we have made so far, although Alridge would have been very deserving of a real chance!
Well said baby, well said!!!! 2champ, you sure know how to steal a girl’s heart with all that football talk… whew!!!
So yeah, as much as i’d love to get rid of McCree there’s no use in wasting money we could be saving to get someone better or several other people for what some teams would pay for one player. We have to use smart tactics in this offseason game in regards to how we go about getting new players and ones like McCree that put us in a sticky situation. He needs to go but if we just cut him that’s money down the drain that we could’ve spent on someone else.
As for Bly I hope he does stay for at least one more season with us. He still has something left in him and he is still one of the best corners in the league. We all know other teams fear Champ, who wouldn’t?? That’s why Bly gets all the criticism b/c he gets most of the attention b/c everyone’s afraid of the league’s best corner!! Can’t argue there until everyone starts hating Bly for not having 50 arms and stopping every single person that comes running his way or who he has to cover. He is getting up there but I’m certainly not trying to make excuses for him. But my stud seems to have said it all… nice going baby!!
With faith…
GO BRONCOS in ’09!!!!
Although Winborn was good for depth, maybe they have their eye on someone to start so our starter is then good for depth. Or a better guy for depth. Like on Mike Rice’s blog “Trying To Get Back To The Top” with my mock roster, if we were to acquire Bart Scott, Julius Peppers, Terrell Suggs, then we would have adequate depth at OLB and the cut of Winbourn will make more sense. Until then I don’t like it, but we will see how much sense we can make of it later.
Who knows? But all the other cuts, are for the most part good ones.
Hold onto the ball offense,
Maintain your gaps defense,
Keep the faith fans!
Hun, I assume that maybe a cold shower is in the near future for you, otherwise a lot of sweating and exhaustion is in the near future for me!
Crazy. Just got back from a 4 day break and come home to a little bit of a shake up. Love the cuts. Hopefully we will have many more. Lord knows we need them…..
thanks BRONCOSBAILEY24………Patrick Chung is extremely gifted,,,picture Bob Sanders….
and WOW!!!!!!!! I see the front office is shaking things up…some confidence to release high priced players like Robertson…
I see the Ravens just released Chris Mcalister,,wow would be a good pick-up…Fred Taylor is on the market too, just an interesting note…
I don’t know if everyone will see it this way, but here goes….
sometimes the best defense IS a killer offense!
1st Round Denver Picks —Offense
let me explain, our 1st pick is crucial to next seasons success baring 3 key FA acquisitions. I know everyone sees the “obvious” 4-5 picks on Defense,
however, if we get 1 of 2 scenarios, could decide a decent draft, or a definte grade A on this draft or offseason as a whole…..
1) we must give up one player like 1 of our DBs, TEs or RB, (which i don’t wanna see)and next years (1st round or some high collateral) to give us 2-1st rd picks this year… for which we can “steal” either one of (BJ Raji/or Laurinaitas / or Maualuga) and Knowshon Moreno… but, it MUST be Moreno of all the top five RBs this class, because he will be gone by 2nd RD.
2)… Somehow, keyword SomeHow, get (DLs) Haynesworth/or Peppers, (LBs)Scott/or Vilma/or Farrior, (S)Brown
***that would allow us to get any 3 out of all named DLs -Rajii, Peppers, Haynesworth, Scott, Vilma, or Laurinaitas *** which would be a B grade offseason, and possibly higher depending on draft.
–the logic is this, We MUST Account for 4 spots on our D:
1) DT
2)MLB
3)OLB//? for possible 3-4?
4)S (decent S opposite Barett) or Convert Bly to S and move JWilliams to RCB
outcome/outlook:
4-3} DE (Peppers)/Ekuban/Crowder
DT Rajii
DT (Haynesworth) Thomas
DE Moss/Dumervil
*the best DLine in Bronco History*
LOLB Scott/Woodyard/
MLB (Vilma)/Laurinaitas/Larsen
RLB DJ Williams/(Farrior)/Bailey
*a very solid LB Corps with depth*
SS Barett/*draft*
FS Brown/Bly
LCB Bailey/ *draft*
RCB JWilliams/Bell
*best coverage secondary in the NFL*
3-4} DE Peppers
DT Rajji/Hayensworth
DE Moss
*an explosive “game-planned for” DL*
LOLB Scott/Woodyard/Dumervil
SAM Laurinaitas/Larsen
MLB Vilma/*draft*
ROLB DJ Williams/Farrior/Bailey
*smart, fast, runstuffing LBs*
LCB Bailey/draft
RCB JWilliams/Bell
SCB *draft*/Bly
FS Brown/Bly
SS Barret
so, by getting another 1st round and Key FA’s, we can “steal” the
first franchise RB since Portis and actually have the “presence on offense” to “FREEZE” the defenses more because of Moreno!!
So DONT BE SURPRISED TO SEE (RB KNOWSHON MORENO)
the 2009 First Round PICK!!!
I thought this was very exciting news for us that love nostalgic moments and vintage history.
According to Jeff Legwold of The Rocky Mountain News in a blog posting on Feb. 11, 2009, the NFL has decided the original AFL teams will wear throwback uniforms in games against each other during the 2009 season.
Each original AFL team will wear the throwbacks against another original throwback team once at home and once on the road.
For example, the Denver Broncos have three other original AFL teams in their own division (Chargers, Chiefs – formerly the Texans in 1960, and the Raiders). The choices are plentiful since the Broncos play each home and away.
The Broncos also play the New England Patriots in Invesco Field at Mile High in 2009 and with that being Josh McDaniels’ former team that may be a good bet for the home throwback game. Away the only original AFL franchises the Broncos play next season are their divisional opponents.
