DB - I completely disagree with your logic here. If Lloyd stayed, Tebow still wouldn't have been close to sniffing a 66% completion rate. You compare college to the NFL, as if they are interchangeable, which couldn't be farther from the truth. In college, the talent level and speed on defense is significantly lower than that of the NFL. At the college level, WR's are often WIDE open, making it a "pitch and catch" scenario. In the NFL, WR's are covered more than not, and often a QB has to release the ball while the WR is fully covered, with the ANTICIPATION of where they WILL be, in order to make the completion. This lack of anticipation (amongst other things), is why Tebow will never be an NFL QB.

Lloyd leaving was a very self serving action. While justifiable...and understandable...that move alone probably cost Tebow his career, and the continued starting role in Denver.

Tebow was a consistent 66%+ passer through college...and he threw a ton of passes. Had Lloyd been with us, Tebow would have remained a 66% passer. I am certain he sits on the bench knowing he can pass with the best of them, frustrated beyond belief that he only gets the ball (now) when he comes into a play stone cold. How can an emotional guy succeed under the conditions he has been placed in?

Watching all the dropped passes that Manning gets - I've become more convinced that there is an issue with the receivers rather than the passers. It is absolutely stupid to declare a QB to not be a passer because you don't like the throwing motion.

Lloyd leaving was understandable. With Tebow as QB it would be foolish to pass a dominant percentage of plays. Tebow comes with too many other potential options. Lloyd would have received fewer passes than previously. It always interests me to decide whether a player is playing for a 'bust' in Canton or a 'Ring' in February.
I think Lloyd made the wrong choice.

I am looking forward to seeing Lloyd play again. His move to Boston was a good one. He had no shot at the bust or the ring in Ramsville. I doubt champ wins the majority of the time tomorrow.

Bay - I agree with your Belly-chick assessment - totally inexplicable. I would love to get into that locker room and figure out what he is doing.

We need the Wolfe and the rest of the Dline to have a push.Collapsing the pocket so Von and Doom can clean him up. Add a little Woodyard just for the feel of it. I remember Loyd's departure and more than a few fans were upset with the little punk for that trade!

I remember you raving about 'SpiderLloyd' at the end of 09 baylin.

The Champ vs Brandon matchup will definitely be fun to watch. My question is how many times will Brady even attempt to throw at Champ. He still is wary ever since throwing that INT in his first playoff loss way back in 05. Lol!

Another thing, Von Miller will be playing without a cast on his hand. If he can get to Brady early and often...
I fully expect this game to be as good as advertised. I'm shocked the networks didn't put this one in Primetime.

Broncos Country Strong 2012!

Belichek has always handled his game time injury reports like the one above, about half the team is questionable and most of them will play, just playing games with the opposing coaches, not the way it should be done according to NFL rules but somehow he gets away with it. He is about as much fun to deal with as it is to look at his face, what a downer that man projects. With that attitude it's hard to comprehend that he would be so successful with the men around him even with his high football IQ. Looking at him operate reeks of impending doom, the face of somber negativity and yet most of the time he comes out smelling like roses. So much for judging a book by its cover.

About Lloyd, he was always my fav "Spiderman" Lloyd as long time bloggers may remember, hands that stuck to the ball like glue, just about always, loved the guy's abilities and did not mind the man at all, after all what receiver in his right mind would want to play for Tebow. I would of wanted out just as well, a receiver's main ambition in the game is to catch footballs, good luck with that with Tebow. It was smart for him to want to move on at the time and to add insult to injury "not GM material" Xanders let him walk away for just about nothing, a measley 4th round pick I believe, just because he liked Lloyd and his agent he said, knowing of him I take it he wanted to oblige them without undue stress, haha, a player who Bailey says he is about as good as they come athetically in the game today, a 4th round pick and see you never.... what a moron. Smart of John for keeping the X man just long enough to pick what ever little there was of his football brains (since Elway had zero GM experience in the NFL then) and to give him the boot right after that was accomplished. As a businessman I would of done exactly the same thing, even so getting rid of him right of the bat would of been tempting, LOL.

Water under the bridge now but it's going to be hard for me to watch Lloyd for the opposition this week I tell you that much.

i think the broncos should use Andre Cadlwell a alot more. they should use him in the slot or add a wrinkle demension by having him as a 3rd down back like how New England used Aaron Hernandez. the more speed the broncos put on the field, the more mismatches they can create
