Parker Placed on IR

August 8th, 2009 - 10:42am by Zach Eisendrath

Defensive lineman J’Vonne Parker has been placed on injured reserve. The move makes room for Knowshon Moreno to officially sign with the team today and join the active roster.

Entering his fifth season in the NFL, Parker has appeared in 11 games during his professional career, seeing time on the rosters of Carolina, Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas and Cleveland.

U guys are right about Cutler over reacting alittle bit when this trade went down. Hey I would be a crybaby too if they were bringing in Simms(bust) that’s going to get paid higher than me and I played my heart out for this team. How would u guys feel? Ok I can see how he is fair game but he gets more attention from you guys than our current players, that’s little obsessive.

My bad Broncofan387 I guess I would have just had to be there to see what Orton was looking like. Man i hope he doesnt get out there and start throwing ducks and getting our WR’s hurt.

But does anyone think that our season is kinda on the back of QB situation?

I kno Chris Simms hasn’t played in a while but i did like him when he was with the Bucanneers

With Moreno in the mix, orton won’t have to do it all on his own. Also, during camp, he was hitting Stokely quite well. Also, according to McD, the INT’s weren’t always Orton’s fault (routes run improperly, not getting separation). Also keep in mind what Simms said. The D see’s their plays, knows their plays to has an advanced step on what is going to happen. Easier to read and make a play. Orton will be fine, guys. Stop worrying so much. Give him a chance to prove he can make it work before throwing him under the bus or thinking doom and gloom about his chances. Personally, I love his chances in Denver. Denver has a high powered offense. Orton will thrive in it. Keep the faith. Support the team, question, but don’t doubt and cheer as loud as you can for the Orange and Blue.

Great so see some live NFL action. AFL throwbacks worn by two original AFL Teams. It was extra special for the Buffalo Bills as they had two inductees, owner Ralph Wilson and DE Bruce Smith. Smith had a great career as he was part of a Team the went to 4 straight Super Bowls. They never won it but that was during the time the NFC was dominating as they won 13 straight Super Bowls. That was until Broncos won it in ’98. Since then AFC has won 7 of 10.

Cutler was already pissed off BEFORE Simms got to the team. Though the crying scene exploded later with the transfer stuff.

And I’d have better Simms than Ramsey again, no matter if he would make a bit more money for a year than my starting QB (who already was under a contract which he was ok with before Shannahan left).

    KO will do ok.

    Great to have Moreno in.

    Go Broncooos!
