I see your way of thinking 'this is only year one'... and in a standard instance of having a young/experienced QB it would be fine, but we have an Old, injury prone QB that has an established history of not getting it done even when he has all the tools to get it done... If Peyton was young then I'd stand down and just wait patiently... but he's not Young, he's not middle age for a quaterback, he is Old... Elway is the only QB to win a Superbowl over 36 and he had TD and a Defense full of Studs... Peyton can take a paycut, sign some more talent and take us to the Promised Land if he wants.... He wants to get paid, and he is getting paid. This situation is no where near what is was in '97 because Peyton has a ring and is happy just being a Stat monster, or he would take steps to rectify the weaknesses on this squad. When we as a Fan base are told that there is no 'Plan B'... and Plan A goes exactly according to script, right down to the finest detail of winning meaningless Regular season game then coming up short in the Playoffs when it matters then there is a serious issue...
