For the second time this season, the Broncos will wear their orange jerseys — this time against the Detroit Lions.
For that reason, the matchup has been dubbed Orange Sunday, and the Broncos are asking fans to wear orange to the game.
In addition, the Orange Sunday celebration will begin with the second annual Orange Ride.
The inaugural Orange Ride last season included approximately 800 riders.
In conjunction with the City of Denver, B-cycle, the Denver Cruisers and Bike Denver, fans are encouraged to ride their bike to the game. The Denver Pavilions and Paramount Café will be hosting a pre-ride party, starting at 10 a.m., with the group ride to Sports Authority Field at Mile High leaving at 11 a.m. MDT.
Among the riders will be Mayor Michael B. Hancock, 9News’ Susie Wargin and Broncos alum Rich Karlis.
Fans can also ride to the stadium from their homes, and all bike riders will receive free admission to the Broncos Barn tailgate party, which opens at 11:05 a.m. MDT, an Orange Ride T-shirt and complimentary gift bag.
Even bike riders without a ticket to the game can take in the action by staying at the Broncos Barn after kickoff to watch the Broncos take on the Detroit Lions — kickoff is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. MDT.

man i love the orange! Cant wait for full time orange home jerseys next year!! On a side note… does anyone know how to get bad mojo out of a football jersey? My ex wife bought me a customized orange jersey with my name on it durring shannahans last year as coach and the broncos have never been the same since! The only thing i can figure is that she put some kind of vodoo hex or something on it to further make me miserable after our divorce!! Any help would be greatly appreciated as i cant really afford to replace it since its like a 250.00 jersey! lol ive tried washing it several times, wearing it to the stadium, and spilling my favorite beer on it. Nothing has worked. I had it on last weekend for about 3 quarters and then had to go somewhere that a jersey is considered inappropriate and as soon as i took it off, BAM!! Good things started happening! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ray – take it to the stadium – get as close to Tebow as possible – a little Tebow magic is gonna fix you right up. My understanding is Tebow magic is available in the first 25 rows at the beginning of the game but it envelopes the entire stadium by the end of the game. No worries, you just be at the game if you can.

A few guys have been talking about how Tebow gets no love for his passer rating (The worst stat in the league). So I just wanted to repost what I said. Just dont oint to Tebows passer rating and say he is a great passer because he isn’t most of his yards are empty yards made after the catch. Tebow is a guy who can lead his teams to wins and thus far has not demonstrated that he is a great passer he demonstrates that he is a great leader and winner. Hopefully against Detroit he puts this to rest by looking great through the air but those far nothing he has done can put him into the same sentance as Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, or Drew Brees in terms of passing:
Please do not bring up passer rating and expect to be taken seriously. QBR is much more accurate and uses factors such as quality of passes, bad deisions, near picks, sacks, etc… Tebows last year was 58.7 overlall slightly above average and would be 11th overall. this year he has posted marks of 18.2 against miami which ranked 23rd out of 27 passers. and 83.2 against SD in relief which was 5th out of 28 passers. QBR measures how effective a QB is to leading his team to victory. Passer Rating is a terrible stat!
ray, I’ve found that the best way to demojo an item is to alter it in some way. For instance, remove the tag. Keep in mind that you can’t cut the tag off. You need to use a seam ripper and cleanly remove it. This works for removing the bad mojo. (also useful in removing good mojo, though I don’t know why you’d want to do that.)
wow thanks guys!! i will definately be removing the tag before wearing it again. As for the getting close to Tebow thing, I tried that last year when i got him to autograph his rookie card for me. I was wearing the VERY jersey in question and it STILL didnt work. I will give the tag thing a try!

Through his first 27 action plays Tebow had a 6.9 QBR. On his next 16 action plays his QBR was 96.0.
This was during the Miami game basically the first 55 minutes against the last 5. He gave the team an amazing chance to win at the end but not so great for the majority. Either way I’m confidnet those numbers will be more conistent next week just dont let Passer Ratings fool you

Sorry had to point that out.But to your point I think way to many fans (on here included) make way to much of stats . some seem to think its the only thing that matters.To many think because the know how many dropped balls we had in ’72 somehow translates into overall football knowledge. There is so much more to the game especially today.such as players ability to fit a a system ,positive or negative influence in a locker room,leadership,financial consideration and long term outlook with the team just to mention a few that dont have a stat box. Stats are well and good and work great for contract negotiations but to Quote JE the only stat that means anything is in the W column .Dan M. had awesome stats and zero rings.Give me wins over great stats any day. I personally think 4Th Quarter comebacks says more about A QB than QBR any day of the week . can you point to any other stat that speaks to a players hart leadership and will to win ?

I think the QBR stinks. ESPN’s “formula” can get shoved in the garbage. Along with their experts who think Tebow can’t play. The NFL passer rating leans more towards yards per attempt and td/int ratio in it’s weight. Those are the two money stats that myself and the majority of non-espn experts agree on. Most QB’s in this league stink in the 2 minute game winning situations. How times has Tony Romo choked in those senarios? How many times did we see Orton wilt? The winner wants the ball in his hands during crunch time. And winners produce results in those situations. We have a winner. Now all we need is an OC & a head coach that can become winners along with the QB. Coach to win Mr. FOX. All I see is his complete fair of failure. He should be used to failure, I mean every other year in Carolina he had a losing record. Real winners can win in back to back seasons. All his playing it safe has gotten him is an average record and a lost job. It’s time to man up!! Show some courage like your QB is. Memo to haters: Don’t forget Elway’s completion % as a rookie was 48%. Half the people in town wanted to run him out of town. People were angry that the team didn’t go after Marino instead. He also had a coach that tied his hands behind a lame offense for 3 qtrs. Hmmm sounds like history repeating. The funny thing is that Elway is not showing more support to Tebow after all the garbage that he went thru.. Yo FANS, the 4th qtr comeback is hard. That’s why legends are made in the 4th. All we really need right now is for FOX & McCoy to man up and call better plays.
qbr is open to too many variables. even though rating may not be the end all it is void of human interpitation.

so next year will denver still wear blue for road games when the other team wears white? its wired i remember denver always wearing the blue uniform for home games and white for road games but the last couple years iv been seeing em wear the blue ones on the road alot to so ima tad confused r they making the home jerseys this year the away and making orange the home color and will they still wear the white jerseys i really hope they dont just trash the blue because i like the blue ones to

rayjr26, My Girlfriend say’s you need to do what’s called a smudge. Lay Your jeresy on the floor in the center of your room of choice in Your home and surround your jersey with lit white candle’s, then lite a sage smudge stick and wave the smoke all around the jersey. This will chase away any negative energy.
By the way can You please do this before Sunday? That way We can all Celebrate!
