In Week 12 action against the Falcons, Minnesota fell behind early and wasn’t able to complete the comeback on the road in Atlanta, falling 24-14.
Toby Gerhart got the start at running back in place of the injured Adrian Peterson and finished with 44 yards on 17 carries (2.6 avg.) and one touchdown.
It was Gerhart’s 1-yard rushing touchdown that put the Vikings on the board with 3:58 remaining in the third quarter, cutting their deficit to 17-7.
Minnesota got to within three on a 39-yard touchdown pass from Christian Ponder to Percy Harvin early in the fourth quarter, but Matt Ryan connected with Michael Palmer on a 3-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter to seal the game for the falcons.
Ryan posted a season-best 128.2 passer rating against the Vikings. He finished 27-of-34 for 262 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions.
For Minnesota, Ponder connected on 17-of-25 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown. Harvin led the team’s receivers with eight catches for 95 yards and one touchdown.

Denver Broncos #14
“I don’t often consider Deion Sanders to be a fount of sage counsel, but I do like what he said Sunday night after Denver’s latest win. To paraphrase, Sanders observed that everyone is so caught up in what Tim Tebow can’t do at quarterback that they’re missing what he is doing. In other words, stop trying to project the future and enjoy the now, because the now is kind of special and shouldn’t be missed. I think that perfectly gets to the crux of the Tebow saga”.

Broncos win 13-9
Happy B day Gray and Turtle and whoever else I missed.
A lot of the moderation process was courtesy of Stuart Zaas, so job well done to both Gray and Suart.
And the NFL Security branch provided a heavy hand I heard.
So hopefully all will be better and we can enjoy a nice time through the Holidays with some serious Bronco footballl.
Peace on Earth to all the Bronco brethrens and everyone else for that matter.
Thanks Bay…
How’s your day?
I sure missed a lot in just one day, McGahee with thumb surgery and may be out Sunday, Royal may be out too and AP definitely out. We can still count on Doom if Miller is out, we have my boy Willis who is a better #2 WR than Royal is anyway, and we don’t have to worry about the AP train running us over. So all in all we come up ahead in this one injury wise, specially hearing the Vikings put their long snapper, two of their safeties and one more player I can’t remember who on IR today, so all is good for this game regardless.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!
Did something way too physical, gonna pay for it for a couple days, it’s hurting already, by the morning I’ll be completely useless, LOL.
Hehe, Nice… I asked earlier if anyone saw the hit that put Loeffler out? It was viscious and uncalled for… I like physical football but that was not really proper
Hey Bay – is that new info? that McG had a thumb injury…Fox just said that he was out sick.
Glad to see you back. Hang in there and keep letting the old body know whose in charge!!!
The rest of the security info is good to know – I’ve been very concerned.
Dang bay, you worked that hard?
What, did your wife make you empty the dishwasher and put the dishes away…LOL kddn
This is a repost from weatherman or rbf1 from the DP:
Miller, a rookie with 10 1/2 sacks through 11 games, underwent surgery Tuesday to repair torn ligaments in his thumb. He suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of the Broncos’ 16-13 overtime win at San Diego. Miller refused to come out of the game. After getting taped, he made a crucial defensive stop in overtime, tackling running back Ryan Mathews for a 4-yard loss. That pushed the Chargers’ game-winning field goal attempt back to 53 yards, from where Nick Novak’s boot faded wide right.
Ordinarily, this type of thumb injury would keep Miller out at least week, but he has vowed to try and play at Minnesota.
LMAO!
It was rbf1 who just posted that last page.
I think the tackle was on Tolbert for the four yard loss.
hey whats up with Rahim, he started at the beginning of the season but now Carter is starting, not that im complaining….just wondering. did something happen to him?
Happy Birthday Gray thanks for keeping the time-stamp on the Live Blog; it has been great. Also, thank you for all you and your staff do to keep this Broncos Country the BEST BLOG in the NFL! I wish you and yours the best.
