Less than a week before rookies, quarterbacks and injured veterans participate in their first training camp workout, the Broncos assured another of their draft picks will be there, signing sixth-round pick Eric Olsen on Saturday.
The former Notre Dame lineman started the final 31 games of his Irish career, playing at three different interior line positions. Olsen earned third-team All-America honors from The Sporting News during his senior season when he started all 12 games at center.
The Broncos selected Olsen, 6-foot-3, 305 pounds, with pick No. 183 in April’s NFL Draft, making him the third lineman selected by the team after Zane Beadles and J.D. Walton.
Olsen joins Walton, Perrish Cox, Syd’Quan Thompson and Jammie Kirlew as Broncos’ draft picks who have signed. The team currently has four picks still unsigned.

btw, thats the article. TRB out
Yeah read that this morning TRB, guess Dez trying to be a stronger man or something, but I bet the vets get him back even worse now.
I think you are right when it is more fitting in with the team building comradely with the other players, it has put him a bit offside I guess.
Character, or lack thereof is why we passed on Dez and went with Demaryius, not surprised at all that Dez is already acting as a prima donna, I knew all along what he was and he won’t disappoint me. My stepson graduated from OSU this year, so I followed OSU players closely, we are much better off with Perrish Cox than Dez. An example of why we wouldn’t want him is he is the perfect candidate for signing his rookie contract and if he plays well within two years he will refuse to play for that contract and ask for a new one, the better he plays for the Cowboys the more problems he could pose, the man is about me me me and he would of never fit here, McD knew that.
Yeah agreed Bay, this is one of the many reasons we passed on Dez and picked Thomas. I just hope Thomas is better on game days then Dez.
He is much better off with the Cowboys than here since Jerry Jones is never shy about spending money, in fact they already have all their draft picks signed I believe. So in retrospect I guess he could do just fine as a Cowboy, Jerry can put up with him, I know McD or Bowlen wouldn’t and they didn’t, did they?
It will definitely be interesting to follow both this year, big difference is Dez will have a QB who is not afraid to throw long, Demaryius will have, well, you know, LOL.
Haha I know bay funny, and I think the cowboys had all their rookies signed early because they started camp early.
I read the story in the DP about Bey-Bey and his mom and just shed tears… wow… I feel great things coming for this kid!!! … If anything, McD knows how to surround himself with blessed people… jomho..
I LOVE ME SOME DENVER BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah OC I read that yesterday and I was struggling to hold it together, it is a sad story.
I just read the story a few hours ago. Wow. Incredible. Bay, Bay, said he will never go down that road. He`s learned from his mom`s and grandma`s mistakes. He`s a humble young man. A man who`s learned to build his charactor. I`m glad that he is a BRONCO. God Bless Ya Bay, Bay. Make your mom and grandma proud.
I can’t say I blame Dez here, I wouldn’t do it either…
Hey Bay thanks for the rookie link. about the “guidance” not when I have Bronco Bros like you who know everything and were to get it from. Thats why I need only to ask and I know any question will be answered. you Bay are a true Bronco Bro.
Go Broncos!!!
I read the story as well… I’m beyond glad that he was empowered to do better in life than follow his mom & grandma’s mistakes that have cost them precious time with their family. Sad to think we only get one life on this earth and that’s how they chose to spend their time by getting involved with drugs. Very sad but every tunnel has a light at the end and that light is our very own Bay-Bay. Takes one tough person to survive all that and make it to the NFL. Now, he’s got the pressure of showing why we picked him in the draft. I can hardly wait to see this guy on the field… I am certain he will not only match Marshall’s talent on the field but he’ll do better. He’ll go above and beyond because he isn’t a distracted, messed up dude off the field creating havoc not only for himself but everyone around him. Makes a big difference when you don’t act selfish… it affects everyone around you. The team didn’t need all the negativity Marshall brought from off the field… they’ve become more stabilized because we are getting players with some actual decent attitudes and values. Makes a world of difference. And it will show when these guys hit the field this season.
Bronco Country is behind you all the way Bay-Bay!! Go get ‘em!
Keep the faith Broncos Country…
GO BRONCOS in 2010!!!!!
hey again all…. uh… the walton signing part was just a retard mistake on my behalf. i had forgot that he signed a while back.
as for the updated website… i cleared my internet history, cookies, everything! still the old site.
not sure what thats about. most of the time im using the comp at work and its a huge network so perhaps it has something to do with that. i dont know. and ya i read that article about thomas too! a tear jerker and definately made me have the utmost respect for the guy. a lot of obstacles he overcame! at least he had sports to help him stay out of trouble! just think about all the folks that dont. a sad commentary on our society! it certainly makes me want to buy HIS jersey!
Go Bronocs 2010
“THE BATTLE IS WON IN THE TRENCHES”
ya folks i just got on at home with my laptop and got the new site. it must have something to do with the network at my job. nothing i can do about that!
ray, you probably work for the government, haha!
weareamr, I got more time to kill that most of you guys since I’m retired, so I’m glad to help out whenever I can.
About Demaryius, we all have our mountains to climb, glad to see this kid seems serious about conquering his, hopefully he will succeed, so far so good, great job Demaryius.
Haha rayjr26, why are you on the Broncos website at work mmh? haha just joking.
Damn bay we all around still haha
It’s early over here, just walked the dog like every other day, the early bird gets the worm is my motto, and I’m usually here alone early in the am, what day and what time is it over down under?
Because he works for the government, haha!
Haha ray probabaly does haha
It is monday night, 10:30 pm here
15 hours, Major time difference, so all the games are played early the following morning, like 3 am or 6 am… You must like the night games then, like at 11 am for you.
Yeah love the late games, but sometimes I get up at 4am for the games, lots of funny, but it is hard to watch games out here, but I do my best.
I’m talking central time by the way which is an hour later than in Denver, since I’m in Austin Texas.
Here is to hope you get to watch many, as far as I’m concerned, I really haven’t missed a game since like the early 90′s when I was sometimes too busy because of putting together my last business, plus we stunk up the joint back then with coach Phillips.
Nice a Texas fan, let me guess you get alot of Cowboys stuff out there, why are you a Broncos fan then?
Yeah I will do want I can to support how Broncos.
I lived in Colorado from 1974 through 1990, then I lived in Florida from 1990 through 2006, and I’ve been here since then, the american way, always on the move, love the three places equally well all for different reasons.
Awesome that is cool, 3 really nice places.
Here is one that will get you salivating, I watched live all 6 superbowls we played, even attended the one in Pasadena against the Giants in 1987.
Damn that is awesome, I would love to just watch a game live. Anyway I am out, bed time for me and work in the morning, enjoy your day bay, catch you later.
Yeah Dallas is big over here but in Austin somehow the Texans are bigger, it’s like in basketball people in Austin usually root for the Spurs rather than the Mavericks. Dallas as a town is a bit full of itself and other Texans usually don’t join in the hype so much. Austin is a democratic island in a republican state is another way to describe Austin, way cool town, music everywhere, the Longhorns and Lake Travis for my boat, the “Orange Crush”.
Night Aussie.
What’s up Bronco Country I have only had time to drop in on the site periodically lately been too busy to find time to write. I see the guys with the straight jackets have not found our beloved Bay as yet lol. I think this team is headed in the right direction patience may indeed be the right word for this team even at game time be patient on the field and good things will happen. Hopefully we get the rest of rookies signed soon so they don’t miss too much of training camp. But one question i have is with all the youth we have at Safety and Cornerback will we try to resign Champ or just replace him.
Still crazy after all these years, glad of you to notice once again, LOL, good to hear from you marshisboss, however time has come for you to get a new handle, Marsh is no longer boss of nothing in Bronco Country, not that he ever was, haha.
bay, aussie…. no! i dont work for the govt, worse! banner health. lol they are like the frickin gustapo with their network! cant complain tho. at least i can check on my beloved broncos!!
Banner health, non profit health organization, gestapo like standards to get service I guess is your point, at least you work helping the less fortunate, should make you feel good.
If the DP is correct, I will be flying a mile high by the end of the week, here is what they are reporting:
The Broncos should finalize Decker’s four-year contract today, a deal which figures to include a bonus of $732,000, give or take a few dollars. Beadles’ contract is expected to be finalized by Tuesday. The Broncos hope the Tebow and Thomas deals will be completed in time for practice Thursday, and no later than the first full-squad workout that starts at 8:45 a.m. Sunday.
The Broncos wouldn’t dare call it the “Tebow Effect,” but for the first time in four years, the team is expecting overflow crowds for several of its training camp workouts this year.
Get there early, in other words, if you want to see a close-up look of Tebow watching Kyle Orton take quarterback reps with the first-team offense.
Haha, funny stuff from Klis, watching Tebow watching Orton with the first team… BTW, the signings report above was by Klis also, and some folks say he doesn’t have any inside information, geezzz.
ok seriously, how do i get in touch with someone that can tell me why i cant access the new site? anyone? help!
ray, e-mail Kyle Sonneman, blog administrator, he is always very helpful.
Kyle.Sonneman@Broncos.NFL.net
What browser are you using ray? Some of them save a site as a favorite if you go to it often enough and will only access it in the state it was in when it was saved, if that makes any sense. If you use a different browser, it might work. I like Google Chrome.
That article on Bryant was quite funny. If he’s acting up on something as little as carrying another players pads, I can’t wait to see what happens when an actual situation arises. I mean c’mon a little hazing isn’t all bad and I’m sure most of the guys keep it clean and in good fun. Last year i thought it was hilarious at the rookies haircuts. I just think that if Bryant is trying to show everyone he’s a better man then he should let his playing do the talking. Maybe he’s mad because he didn’t have anyone carrying his equipment for his pro day and that’s why he had a sub par performance. LOL!!! I’m so glad we didn’t select Bryant, he’s already causing friction with his team and it is over something stupid.
Bay-yesterday you were talking about being worried if we started out strong like 6-0. Looking at our early schedule I believe I can guarentee we won’t be 6-0. More like 2-4 then it gets better as we win 10 for the season.
danso, 2-4 for the first six is about right in line with my season predictions (wins against Seattle and either at Jacksonville or at Tennessee but not both and losses against the Colts, the Jets and at Baltimore). However I bet you many people would of guaranteed that we wouldn’t go 6-0 last year, playing teams like New-England, Dallas and at San Diego. The one thing I have learned over the years is that nothing is a guarantee in the NFL, that’s why they play the game. A message from the experienced, don’t put any moneys on your guarantees, LOL.
Any Given Sunday is true. And thats the only thing we have working for us to be honest Lol. The Problem is I believe the loss of Marshall took us two steps back in offense, and the WR rooks took us only one step forward for a total of 1 step back from last year. And last year offensively wasnt something to write home about to begin with. Defense took steps back losing Nolan but steps forward with all the acqusitions. I believe we have had no real “foreseeable” improvement.
So just like last year, we are question marks but sadly, the closest thing we can draw on is the 2-8 finish more than the 6-0 start. All i know is its gonna be a tough season, but like Ashley would say. Keep the faith. Broncos 2010. TRB out.
I think Klis summed up the Offense pretty well today when he said:
It’s difficult to imagine the Broncos becoming anything more than mediocre on offense. The unit has lost so much spectacular young talent at the skill positions while reloading with so much youth on the line that an offensive juggernaut is unlikely.
ya i dont think offensively we will be spectacular. however… if McD gets the O line clicking and the running game can have a decent year then i dont think we will have a bad season offensively. i would guess somewhere in the middle of the pack. but i would much rather have a mediocre offense and a good defense than the other way around! ie… the last few years of the shanny era. OUCH! plus as the saying goes… “OFFENSE WINS GAMES, BUT DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS”
Go Broncos
“THE BATTLE IS WON IN THE TRENCHES”
Well, baylinor you certainly had Dez Bryant pegged! Glad we didn’t draft this new WR diva either.
The storyline on Demaryious Thomas is a prime example of a kid, who with good guidance, can make something of himself in this life. It was his Uncle and Aunt who took him in. They did a good job of showing him right from wrong and instilling values that will carry him through. D. Thomas is now primed to become a premier WR in the NFL! Something he dreamed of, is now about to become a reality.
Glad he is now a member of the Denver Broncos!!!!!
Hmmmm… it’s nice to have back my signature
Cheers everyone!
Go Broncooos!
