Oldenburg Signed to Future Contract

January 1st, 2009 - 12:22pm by Adam Zinser

The Broncos on Thursday signed tackle Clint Oldenburg to a reserve/future contract. He will be officially added to the team’s roster at the end of the 2008 NFL season in February.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Oldenburg is a second-year player who spent the final 10 weeks of the 2008 regular season on St. Louis’ practice squad after competing in training camp with the Jets. Selected by New England in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft from Colorado State University, Oldenburg has appeared in two games for his career with that experience coming as a member of the Jets as a rookie.

At Colorado State, Oldenburg was a 12-game starter at left tackle during his senior year. He began his collegiate career as a tight end and also saw time at guard for the Rams.

I don’t know about Bob Stoops. I would rather see Steve Spagnuolo.

  3. broncoinexile says:

only if marsh signs a contract that pays the fans for every ball he drops and every stupid on/off field “look at me, I have a million dollar body and a five cent brain” move he makes.

Spend the money on Royal and Stokely.

you must be stupid to think either one of them could do anything if it wasnt brandon marshall getting doubled all the time who you kidding? b marshall is the 2bd best wideout in the game today only to andre johnson jesus

  5. broncoinexile says:

right. that’s why Royal did so bad in the Raider game. That’s why Stokely comes up with the big catches like McCaffrey used to.

bmarsh needs to get his $hit together and stop acting like a gold-plated a$$hole. He’s talented but about as smart as a retarded koala bear.

Maybe Rod Smith can slap some brains into his head. You could use some too. And maybe spend some time catching the ball.

Name one college coach that has had a successful NFL gig.

Monodono: Please tell me if Oldenberg will win a job on this team.

    Go Broncos.

HA! I don’t know, it really depends on the new staff. He need’s to mature some and we will see. Good to see a COLORADO Man on the TEAM though The Broncos really missed Cecil THe Desil Capp this year we need Fullbacks. Good luck Clint and welcome. Now just take your vitamins and say your prayers like a good Hulkster.

  9. monodono says:

    OOPS Sapp. sorry Cecil. ;-)

brandon marshall is uncoverable its that simple eddie will never be more then a number 2 i love eddie and stokes but they are slot recievers we need a number one and thats brandon marshall

  11. broncoinexile says:

    1. NO ONE is “uncoverable”.

    2. Even if he was “uncoverable” it is only useful if he doesn’t drop the ball when it hits him in the hands, or draw an excessive stupidity penalty and lose 15 yards.

    3. He has to be on the field, without being injured to be of any use.

ask steve smith and terrell ownens and calvin johnson and dwayne bowe and almost every number one even sure handed stokely and royal dropped passes in that game. i like all three but the best wide reciever and only number one is BRANDON MARSHALL. he is easily top five in the nfl
