Good morning from day two of the NFL Scouting Combine. As you may have read, the coin toss between the Bears and the Jaguars for the picks 10 and 11 in the draft occurred this morning with the Jaguars winning the toss. That means that the Broncos, who hold the Bears pick, will have the 11th selection in the first round.
Today we are expecting to see the quarterbacks, running back and wide receivers make their way through the media room. Lots of big names amongst this group so the media room should be hopping with activity.
Like yesterday, we will be proving updates through out the day and will do our best to give you a glimpse into the NFL’s annual job fair. Please feel free to fire some combine questions and we will do our best to get them answered. Later tonight, Broncos TV will post some highlights from the podium sessions. To hear what some of the offensive lineman and tight ends had to say, click here.

10:34 a.m. EST: No players yet as of yet, but several team executives have made their way through. Currently at the podium is St. Louis Rams General Manager Billy Devaney with Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan up next. I have a feeling Shanahan may attract the biggest crowd of the morning or day for that matter.
12:02 p.m. EST: A nice little flurry in the media room including Illinois wide receiver Arrelious Benn and Oregon State quarterback Sean Canfield. Canfield is a left handed quarterback, but said that he writes, plays golf, kicks and does pretty much everything else with his right. Despite being almost ambidextrous, Canfield said that throwing the ball with his right hand is not in his bag of tricks.
1:01 p.m. EST: Two of the smallest, but most explosive wide receivers just exited the media room. Clemson’s Jacoby Ford and Golden Tate from Notre Dame. Ford is expected by many to have one of the fastest 40-yard dash times at the combine, but when asked what his goal in the 40 was, he decided to keep that to himself.
2:37 p.m. EST: For most of the athletes at the combine, football is not the only sport that they have excelled in. Two of those guys are Florida wide receiver Riley Cooper and Minnesota wideout Eric Decker.
Both Cooper and Decker have been drafted not once, but two times by Major League Baseball teams. Cooper by the Phillies and Rangers and Decker by the Brewers and Twins. Though it was a tough choice to make, both said they were happy with their choice of football and are leaving baseball in their past. But they said many of the skills – such as hand-eye coordination and tracking down fly balls – they learned on the diamond will translate to the gridiron.
2:51 p.m. EST: I apologize for the lack of updates the last hour as the media room has become quite busy. We have heard from several quarterbacks including Tony Pike of Cincinnati and Central Michigan’s Dan LeFevour. Many of the quarterbacks have decided not to throw this weekend, choosing to throw at their pro day instead. LeFevour said that he chose to throw at his pro day instead of Indianapolis because he wants to be comfortable with his targets.
Also addressing the gathered press was Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant. Considered by many as the top receiving target in the draft, the majority of questions for Bryant revolved around his suspension for lying to NCAA investigators about his dealings with NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.
3:12 p.m. EST: The man most have been waiting for has arrived – Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. When he walked in the room it was as if Elvis had arrived. Tebow is taking it all in stride, even offering to take notes for a reporter. When asked why he was smiling so much, Tebow said that he wanted to enjoy the ride as much as the destination. The media is gathered about 20 deep all hoping to get in a question, most regarding how his skill set will transfer to the NFL.
3:55 p.m. EST: As is usually the case at the combine, when the morning is slow, the afternoon will be hectic. Running backs have been much of the focus in the last 20 minutes, with USC’s Stafon Johnson and Oregon’s LeGarrette Blount garnering most of the attention and for two separate reasons.
As you might remember, Johnson suffered a near fatal injury while lifting weights at USC. When asked if he was sick of answering questions about the incident, Johnson said that he wasn’t because he knew it was leading him back to the field.
Blount was suspended for most of the 2009 season after punching a Boise State player following the season opener. As expected the majority of questions were focused on that and how he dealt with the suspension and what teams were asking him about the incident. To his credit, Blount didn’t shy away from a single question and said he was committed to proving he is the best running back in the draft.
4:59 p.m. EST: Well looks like they are about to put the wraps on day two. We didn’t get a chance to see Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen or Colt McCoy but hopefully they will come through at some point this weekend. Tonight look for interviews from Blount, Tebow and Tate.
Tomorrow we will be back at it as Head Coach Josh McDaniels addresses the media and the the defensive linemen and linebackers visit the podiums.

So we agree NT,QB,OG right
NT OG ILB WR QB
ILB,not so concerned about WR,cause we’re gonna keep Marshall.
thats assuming we trade marshall. obviously wr wouldnt be a problem if b stays.
Are you like everybody else,Do you think we can get anybody else in the draft as good as Marshall?????????
Marshall in my eyes is in the top three wr group:
Andre Johnson
Brandon Marshall
Larry Fitzgerald
Marshall is a BEAST and everybody knows it,sure he has a few problems, but who dosen’t,that dosen’t mean we get rid of a “superstar” we deal with it and work it out.
florio,Agreed 100%,Marshall is at least top 3 in NFL.
McD needs to deal with animosity instead of getting rid of it AKA Cutler,Marshall,Shefller,Hillis. Our top offensive leaders.
I agree i want marshall back. its just that we dont know whats going on behind closed doors. ya know what i mean?
Well it’s 2:14 on the east coast, only 12:14 mount time where everybody at?????????????
