I dunno about 2 or 3 of the top tier but 1 of them would be good ... which ever they decide on ... a true impact guy. But we cannot look at anyone because we seriously want him and are willing to pay anything for him. It was even said in DP he might consume the majority of our FA budget if not all (adam shefter just twitted we have 38 million. Lets say 18 is for FA and 20 is for Draft) ... either way we cannot move forward because signing mannign might mean wayne, clark and etc as well ... so our hands are fully tied. All we can sign right now is probably ony resign our guys that we wanna retain.

And i agree ... he may not have been able to talk to teams or visit but he knows who the superbowl contenders are and who he would seriouisly consider playing for and their talent level and etc ... i doubt money is a factor ... its winnign so shopping is not really wat its about. But i suppose he wants to meet the entire staff of teams and see how he would mesh with them. He has the right. I just don't like what it means for the broncos. And sure some people might not wanna come to denver. Denver aint the number 1 spot but i would like to know we were at least trying not waiting.

he's expected back by training camp.

Last season reminded me a little of my childhood cheering for Staubach. All those hang on the edge of your seat, never say never moments. :) That's what I love about being a Bronco! We are all heart with a will of iron!

It's also unrealistic to think we will be able to sign 3-5 of the top 10 free agents. Personally , I doubt that would be good for the team anyhow. The second tier players fit in better and many of them are nearly as talented as the top dogs. They have something to prove. It will be interesting to see if we do target any of the top flight offerings today and who we may talk to that will be in that second tier. It wouldn't suprise me if we targeted a running back or DB/Safty. Lots of D-line talent in the draft and many times those guys can step in an be effective their first year in the league. We also have some pretty good players on injuried/reserved that will affect this weeks decisions. Lot's of drama and anticipation starting today! Go Broncos!

Roger Staubach - great QB. Cowboys were very good back then with Staubach at the helm.

RBF1 - I was not really a fan of Houston. I cut my football teeth on Staubach and the "boys". (Though you had to love White Shoes and Campbell) I quit cheering for Dallas when Staubach retired.
