With the Broncos’ Week 11 win in the rearview mirror, there are still plenty of intriguing games this week for Broncos fans to keep an eye on.
Oakland Raiders at Minnesota Vikings
Mall of America Field
Sunday, 11 a.m. MST, CBS
The first game of interest features the current AFC West leader — the Raiders — and the Broncos’ Week 13 opponent — the Vikings. The Raiders are coming off a victory in San Diego last Thursday night that propelled them to the top of the division. This will be quarterback Carson Palmer’s fourth game with Oakland, as defensive end Jared Allen and the Vikings hope to get to him and get back on track after Monday night’s loss to the Green Bay Packers. An Oakland loss would mean Denver has at least a share of the division lead entering Week 12.
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
Sun Life Stadium
Sunday, 11 a.m. MST, CBS
This is another game that features two Broncos 2011 opponents, one of whom the Broncos have already beaten in the Dolphins. Miami is riding a two-game winning streak, and a win over Buffalo would drop the Bills to 5-5 on the year, the same record as the Broncos. It’s also a chance to scout ahead to Week 16, when the Broncos and Bills will square off on Christmas Eve.
San Diego Chargers at Chicago Bears
Soldier Field
Sunday, 2:15 p.m. MST, CBS
This game is of big interest to Broncos fans as it pits two of Denver’s next three opponents head-to-head. The Chargers are looking for a win, having lost four in a row. Meanwhile, the Bears are coming into this game on a four-game winning streak.
Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots
Gillette Stadium
Monday, 6:30 p.m. MST, ESPN
This Monday night matchup is a must-watch for Broncos fans. The Chiefs, Denver’s final regular season opponent, are coming into this game without their No. 1 quarterback in Matt Cassel, who was injured in the team’s Week 10 contest against the Broncos. Tyler Palko steps in, hoping to lead Kansas City to an upset over Denver’s Week 15 opponent — New England.

Feeling total opposite here have said that many times, the Bear game will be a bear of a game because Cutler is still mad Bowlen allowed McD to trade him, not to mention his O line is getting there, definitely a game in the loss column for me unfortunately.
I think I’ll take the other side of that and say we win the Bears game. I think next week will actually be tougher in my opinion.
I see us
lose at SD
win at Minn
lose against Chicago
lose against the Pats
beat Buffalo
and beat KC
going 3-3 for 8-8
No problem Bay. And I agree about the upcoming Bears game. I think that is the hardest game left on the schedule. We stand a better chance of beating the Patriots I think.
I think we can beat San Diego. We’ll see.
I’m pretty much with you, but I see us being able to get a win vs either the Bears or Pats. Maybe I’m drunk on kool aid… lol
I think the only way we beat SD at their house with them being in such bad need of a win is if Rivers beats himself once again, throwing way too many INTs.
We all know how good Brady is and unfortunately Belicheck is now starting to have his new D playing well and that’s not good news for Tebow.
But in my mind 8-8 would be a heck of an accomplishment after a 1-4 start, that’s exactly what the Chargers did in 2008 if I’m not mistaking and they won the division, but this year I think the Raiders will take it.
True. I think NE’s weakness is their secondary, maybe that’s the game Tebow has a breakout passing game? Again, I’m chuggin kool aid over here.. lol
That would make Tebow 7-4, not too shabby.
I’m not getting enough orange kool aid down here in Austin I guess.
Well now we are assured to no longer be in last place in our divison, the Chargers made sure of that, haha, and with KC going to N-E with Palko, LOL, we are assured of second place all by ourselves for one week anyway, who would of thunked it at 1-4 with Orton?
was really hoping the raisers would lose. Oh well
Bay – that Kool Aid is real!!! LOL
er, raiders
Trust me for me to think we can go 8-8 takes a massive amount of orange kool aid consumption, for real. I am being as optimistic as I know how since I thought we would end up 6-10.
I think this 10 days to rest up and strategize for SD will result in a win for DEN. I don’t think the defensive minds in SD are able to step up to the Tebow challenge.
C’mon Bay – you can do it!!! Chugalug!!! LOL
I really could see almost every game going either way. I still think the Broncos are a complete anomaly for the rest of the year.
As Bay posted earlier (someone else’s words)- and as I have been posting for a while – Tebow can pass! It’s just a matter of time before Tebow has a break-out game.
That was old man Zeke and he knows what he is talking about QBs, question is will it be this year? I rather doubt it but it would certainly help his cause, I hope he does have one.
And like you say each game could go either way hence my easy deduction of 3-3, balancing odds out, I’m not going on any limb either way, haha, the ever calculating blogfather, LOL.
Miller was just on football america saying he dosent care if he gets fined for hitting qbs. luv that guy
BTW – I’m not certain how much of that noise last night I incited. I appologize to those who were offended. Most bloggers on the religious topics are not well grounded enough in what they think they believe to have rational conversations on the subject. I think I can have the discussions without being disrespectful. I think I am mature enough to overlook comments by those who are not respectful. Regardless, I have not written on the blog for the purpose of discussing religious beliefs. I do continue to desire to assist those who are offended by Tebow’s public faith to understand where he is coming from.
Some may ask where I get off thinking that I can speak for Tebow? I have never met Tebow or any of his family, but I have affiliations with the same religious organizations and denominations and theology as Tebow and his family.
I’m interested in how veteran bloggers answer Hoge = Carnage etc. (LOL) when they state that the Broncos D was on the verge of a break-out and Orton would have had all these wins as well….???
DB… anyone says that Orton leads this team to 5-5 just doesn’t know football… Period and an intelligent person really won’t try to argue these facts with the delusional…
VON TEBOW = W’s
Von Orton = 1-4…
You do the Math…
Just a tip, bringing up anything religious or political on these blogs, specially late on Friday night or Saturday night and whatever the reason is, is as big a no-no as you could ever do, there is absolutely no way to reconcile any of that no matter how clear headed you are or valid and tame your opinions are, they will be tossed around, ridiculed, thrown to the curb and washed down the drain very swiftly, LMAO, just talking from experience, folks are often drunk or on meds, legal or illegal, and they have no clue as to what is proper on a blog or not, they just let you have it for the fun of it, that’s why as soon as it goes that route I’m out, hahahahaha………
What an opportunity we have. 10 days off. SD on a serious losing streak. We can put an end to their season and put ourselves in serious contention.
Ten, Cin and Buffalo all lost! We got the tiebreaker over the Jets.
Houston will be starting Leinart.
Bal, Pit and NE are the only teams who control their destiny! Suppose you can include Chokeland, but they barely held on against a rookie QB without their best offensive weapon! Next week they get Chicago….
If we can beat SD- we stand a serious chance at the wild card (and maybe even the division).
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
Turtle – playing the devil’s advocate – I think Carnage and his ilk are going to come back with the maturing D argument – which definitely has validity. They will also cite the weak schedule and opponent injury and the fact that it was Palmer’s first start etc. Tebow has been lucky more so than good.
Repeat:
First score predictions for the SD game will be taken tomorrow through Saturday midnight pm blog time. This week I’m off, like the team, thank you.
Ok then LMAO!
Hey Bay – if their were to be a blogger for whom the majority of bloggers felt contempt and from whom the majority of bloggers were tired of being randomly disrespected for no apparent cause…is there a way that such a blogger could be voted off the site or requested to be blocked?
Some folks are just dying for attention around here haha.
So Giants about to end the Eagles’ season who were thought by many to be a SB contender after all their FA acquisitions, but the monkey says we need to get lots of FA acquisitions to be real good, so I’m stumped, hahahahaha!
VY looking good!
McCoy looking good!
Daddybronc, if there were such a blogger I would recommend ignoring his posts haha. I tried taking him head on but he is an energizer bunny and doesn’t seem to get how much he’s putting his foot in his mouth. Once I stopped acknowledging – presto! He found something else to do like hyperactive children eventually end up doing when people stop paying them attention. Now imagine how much blogging he would be getting done if NOBODY spoke to him. Some food for thought, fellow bloggers.
I don’t think the bears running game is as physical as the broncos lately. I think the chargers are about to see a very improved tt, a very improved and physical defensive line that is healthy and a very physical offensive line that actually protects the qb lately. It will be very tough game but the chargers defense will have a hard time keeping up the physical play against a rested broncos….
Broncos: 35
Chargers: 17
Giant ball – not much there.
tim – I highly concur – great Kool Aid laced prediction – but I will remind you on the behalf of Bay that it is not valid until after midnight tonight.
Just ignore the trolls!!!!!!!
Yeah, it can be done, but this is not my style, it’s up to the blog administration to figure it out and they might if they take the time to go back, they’re just not working this weekend with the Thursday game. But I really am not offended, only felt real bad when he once went so low on Coop that he referred to him on his blog as a fat man in many more unflattering ways and it kept Coop out of the blog for weeks, he used to go under something like Glaxnax and he might of been banned and reopened a new account and they didn’t catch on, however he only belittles himself belittling everyone else, he makes me laugh it’s so stupid most of the time even so the guy is obviously educated, he just has a way to go about things that is litteraly insane and that’s why it’s funny to me, crazy people make me laugh, hahahaha!
DB ‘Trolling’ is a serious Broncos Country violation (written directly on the blogging rules of conduct) and if informed by enough bloggers one of the moderators could get one BANNED from the site or at least suspended. So I encourage those who may think that they’re saying something inflammatory to err on the side of caution.
-Royalty
that might come across as demeaning – my prediction will be equally Kool Aid laced. haha
Our Defense is much improved. That’s an understatement.
New scheme, new coaches, new attitude.
Without an offseason and only a training camp/preseason to put in work, it makes sense that after 5 games in, they start realizing their potential. And playing up to it.
Also makes sense that a healthy Dumervil contributes to the overall success. Not to mention a healthy Champ. A healthy DJ. And I think most importantly, a healthy Marcus Thomas.
I firmly believe MT was on track for a career year had he not been injured.
So our defense is getting healthy at the right time. Our offense is definitely beneficiary. Special teams is doing an outstanding job.
So.
The question is. Would Orton have success with this defensive resurgence. Debatable sure. No doubt in my mind. But as it is, it’s Tebow getting the opportunity. And since we are 5-5 I will deal with the side show. Putting my personal bias aside. Just hope Tebow learns to pass better. And soon.
That way, this defensive showing in Denver wasn’t all for naught. Especially if we are to compete with the AFC big boys…in the annual tournament!
VY INT!!!
So sndvl – do you think that Broncs could be 5-5 w/ Orton still starting?
Yeah that Coop rant was crazy, but glasxanax has his funny moments too and I don’t think he really imposes a threat to anybody who understands what they stand for and won’t allow him to get under thier skin.
*their
Giants 2nd possession – moving the ball – Eli INT – Flag – fights break out – Eli was nailed – free shots on the QB.
It’s possible. We will never know. Because Tebow started.
I think it’s fair to say Tebow obviously has provided a spark. But to credit Tebow as the only reason we went 4-1 is well….I’d need a lot of that orange flavored drink that’s flying off the shelves!
