    *passes

  2. alaskanbronco06 says:

When it hits the hands and the numbers it become the receivers responsibility to catch the ball. Receivers job it to do just that yet when they cant cause its to hard or something its not a very good job of them.

Its not just Tebow who needs to get better. The QB cant throw block and catch. All responsibility isnt on him. When he isnt getting enough time or the receivers arnt getting open or catching the ball it reflects on them not Tebow.

  3. Broncos LAX says:

But Alaskan to run those Tebow needs to read the D. With deep passes he doesn’t have to read progressions… The reason the playbook is limited to what we have run is because that is all Tebow can run at this level. We hear about Tebow being a bad practice player? Maybe they try running these plays that the Offense expects the QB to run but he simply cant which translates us seeing bombs thrown on sunday… does that make sense?

  4. BroncoAussie says:

Think Tebow also prefers the big bombs, you give him the option he wants to go for the big play every time. Another year in McCoy’s offense will do him well, I hope.

  5. Broncos LAX says:

I’m just pointing to what Tebow needs to improve if he is to have any longevity with Denver. I don’t know if he will or will not my feeling is Elway wont give him the time to improve but I can be wrong. It’s up to Tebow to prove to Elway he deserves the job its not the other way around and nothing will be handed to him. Some fans balk at bringing in competition for Tebow (An unproven and extremely raw prospect) when during Elways Prime we drafted Tommy Maddux..

  6. alaskanbronco06 says:

Im not saying he doesnt need to improve but its not just him who needs to.

  7. BroncoAussie says:

Drew Bress and Phillip Rivers is another example.

  8. BroncoAussie says:

The offense as a whole, they are an unit. Everyone needs to improve if we want to take that next step towards the superbowl.

  9. BroncoAussie says:

I’m done for the day catch you all laters.

  10. Broncos LAX says:

With his improvement the offense will look much better as a whole… you put Tom Brady on our team you don’t think everyone else looks a lot better all of a sudden? Great QBs can hide holes and issues for a team… look at Manningles colts in Indy

  11. Broncos LAX says:

    Night Aussie!

  12. alaskanbronco06 says:

Yes i get that. But to help Tebow improve, the team needs to improve.

  13. Broncos LAX says:

I dont disagree I just think biggest thing if Tebow starts throwing a better ball much less drops occur. Time will tell but the long throwing motion is probably what makes his balls so out of control

  14. alaskanbronco06 says:

Yes i understand all that, however some of those drops shouldve been catches when the ball its in the hands or numbers should be caught. the fingertips is understandable.

  15. Broncos LAX says:

Agreed time will tell I’ve given my opinion on what the team will do again I don;t necesarily agree it just seems like thats the direction their heading down

  16. alaskanbronco06 says:

Yea what i say is my opinions, hopes and ideas.

  17. Broncos LAX says:

Agreed once again lol I don’t think you are wrong I personally like Brady Quinn and thinks its a shame he was passed when they pulled Orton. I’m not upset with the way things turned out though lol’

  18. alaskanbronco06 says:

Ive never been a fan of Quinn. But getting passed over sucked especially if it was just cause the fans were calling for Tebow

  19. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Just to chime in … I agree alaska .. the job of a proffessional receiver is to catch it when his hands touch it or it hits him in the numbers. QBs won’t always throw a perfect ball … case in point, Brady to Welker, a lil high but welker had his hands on it and didn’t catch it and it decided the superbowl. QB can’t always be perfect. I do agree Tebow has alot to improve on. Accuracy and progressions and all that. Like BA says, Tebow is always going for the kill … isntead of underneath routes, I don’t think its that he doesn’t see it, i just feel he is always trying to make a play and it hurts us at time. Take the check down and move on. Also the QB and his receivers started in the middle of the season together .. .prior to that not much time together … its a comfort thing, a chemistry thing … knowing the kinda ball your QB will throw in certain situations and knowing your recievers tendencies and strengths. Comes with time and practice over and over to the point u anticipate what each other is gonna do before its done. Your hands just wait for the ball getting their right as u cut or hook or watever. Will take time. Also i hear its an adjustment to catch from a left when ur whole life u caught from a righty … lame excuse yes, but the spin of the ball is different so instead of clockwise, the ball is spinning counter clockwise. The few times Tebow actually throws a spiral instead of a duck lol. The drops last year were disgusting … and hurt more because we knew Tebow didn’t complete a high ammount of his passes not even counting drops, so the few time she was on the money, the receivers really needed to make em count. I also found TT always trying to make a big play out of nothing……..which ended up with him scrambling around like a chicken with his head chopped off……..and resulted in a few turovers with him putting the ball on the ground. Two 6 yard gains gets you a first down and keeps the clock and chains moving. I’d rather see a bunch of those in a row instead of one unsuccessful deep attempt after another. The goal is to move the ball, and the more methodical you can be about doing it, the more successful you’ll be. Sure, it’s nice to sprinkle in some big gainers here and there………but if that’s all you do, the D will read you the whole way.

I love the fact that we had the number one rushing attack in the league last year………..but that’s really only cause that’s all we could really do. We seriously need a more balanced attack and as many have mentioned here, a really good TE to get those short gainers.

  21. killerkod says:

the playbook was pretty limited last season for obvious reasons. I’m hoping that with a complete off-season, they can move away from the spread and operate a more conventional offense. But I don’t think it needs to be banned from the O. I think they should keep some spread plays in the offense and mix it up throughout the course of a game…….keeping the D off-balance. I mean, it is what TT runs best, so it shouldn’t be taken away from him completely.

    new blog

  23. strandoftds says:

Killerkod, Elway was the same way when he first came into the NFL, trying to make a big play out of nothing. Rome wasn`t built in a day. No excuses, just give him some time. Tim Tebow will get it figured out.

  24. strandoftds says:

Hopefully they`ll use the TE alot more compared to last year. I’m hoping that J. Thomas is utilized in the Broncos TE sets, Tim needs that outlet which did wonders for him in college.

  25. strandoftds says:

No doubts that Tebow needs to learn and be more productive in the conventional offense, he gets that mastered, he`ll be one of the most scary QB`s in the NFL, no team will want to face us.
