In the spirit of March Madness, NFL.com has set up a bracket of its own to determine the greatest NFL team of all time. Fans vote on each matchup to determine which teams continue on to the next round.
The tournament, which began with 64 teams, is down to the Elite Eight with the 1998 Broncos up against the 2000 Ravens. Other matchups are: 1985 Bears vs. 1981 49ers, 1976 Raiders vs. 1999 Rams and 1989 49ers vs. 1984 49ers.
The ’98 Broncos are a three seed in the Don Shula Region. The team began the season with 13 consecutive victories and finished the year with a 34-19 win over the Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII.
In the opening round of the tournament, Denver topped the ’68 Jets by a 76 percent to 24 percent margin. The next round seemed like a difficult matchup with the ’98 Broncos squad squared up against the ’97 Broncos. The fans had no problem choosing between the two, moving the ’98 Broncos into the Sweet Sixteen by a 81 percent to 19 percent vote. Next up was the 2007 Patriots squad, the two seed in the region. Denver squeaked past New England with the 53 percent to 47 percent upset.
The ’97 Broncos team, which finished the year 16-4 (including postseason) and beat the Packers in Super Bowl XXXII, received a six seed in the Shula Region. The ’97 team held off the 1984 Dolphins in the first round with a 64 percent to 36 percent victory.
Voting for the Elite Eight round ends Monday at 3 p.m. MDT. Click here to help determine which team is the greatest in NFL history.

I haven’t looked at many DE’s cuz i didn’t think we would look at any
I believe that we could trade Goodman for a pick or picks straight up that would benefit us greatly
Jack Crawford
Olivier Vernon
Jacquies Smith
Donte Paige-Moss
Just a handful of guys but they could be good depth players that can help keep our starters fresh.
I would love to take Burfict in a later round as long as he cleans up his act. I mean, before the combine, he was rated above Hightower and was considered a late 1st round draft pick. A great pick in the later rounds. If he excels, then we have found a starter in the late rounds. If he fails, we cut him loose as we would for a usual player who fails.
alaska-Have you heard what DTs we were supposedly talking to? I agree that Okoye would be a nice pickup.
No i havnt. Im starting to think it wasnt true because i havnt heard anything else about it and im sure if we were there wouldve been something on the mile high report of NFL.com or something. If we are then they are being very quiet about it.
I dont see DB as big of a need as it was before we signed Porter so I think the only 2 positions we should consider in the 1st round are ILB and DT. I see Worthy falling into the second so if Cox or Brockers arent available we should take Hightower at 25 then try and move up in the 2nd to get Worthy then.
Jonathan Massaquoi
Terrell Manning
Travis Lewis
Emmanuel Acho
Those are some OLBs i wouldnt mind with our 2nd 4th rounder. Massaquoi was rated a 1st rounder a while ago before the combine like Burfict was
Well we better get one or two signed maybe were waiting on moving Goodman or restructuring contracts thats holding us up
I think we can get a good DT at 57. Reyes Thompson Martin Forston Rhandall Ta’amu or Chapman.
Ya no doubt i thought Massaquoi looked good in college im surprised he dropped so far
Travis Lewis would be a GREAT pickup if he were to fall to the 4th. I am an avid Oklahoma fan and love the way he plays. He was the best defensive player on a team that started the year as the AP top ranked team. I cant believe I forgot about him coming out this year. I saw him up close in person when I went to OU football camp a couple of years ago and he was the most physically fit man I have seen in my life(in person ofcourse). I can tell that the guy doenst slack off in the weight room or anywhere else for that matter.
That may be true that we are trying to make some moves to add more cap space.
I like Travis Lewis to Lol. Hes projected late 4th early 5th rounder.
I guess we wait and see
Travis Lewis wore the number 28 the year after Adrian Peterson left for the NFL. That shows that they thought very highly of him as a true freshman. He also started every year since he has been in college. He did have a problem with a foot injury last year but I dont see it as anything to be concerned about.
Actually i wanna get a QB or WR witht eh second 5th rounder and grab Ron Brooks a CB out of LSU in the 6th round!
I cant believe he is projected to go that low. I would be happy if we picked him up in the 3rd just to make sure noone else nabs him up before we get the chance.
People don’t really think about any other CB from LSU after Claiborne and the Golden Badger, im sure we could get him in that area
Karl-dont you mean HONEY BADGER?? LOL
Nick Foles and Vontaze Burficit in the 4th round with our picks. Dre Kirkpatrick with our 1st and Jerel Worthy in the 2nd
C’mon Broncos Country keep votin, we can turn this thing, I really Wanna see the 98′ Broncos come out on top…
Go Broncos!
Streeter in the 3rd
Have you guys seen the comments on their to about the Broncos Ravens game? Its ridiculous. Their sayin our Defense was nowhere close to theirs and Ray Lewis would have Elway For Lunch!. It BS!

Since the only DT that we looked at in free agency was a top caliber player I suspect we will draft one with our first pick. Probably depends on who is available on which guy ends up a Bronco. We are still looking at signing Dixon and if we do I don’t expect we will spend a pick at QB. I still think its possible that we may trade for a RB in Stewart but most likely we will draft one at pick 2 or 3. I would not be suprised at all if we draft a second DT somewhere between the 2-4 picks and a second running back with our 4-6 pick. DT have adapted quickly to the NFL in recent history and there are many good RB’s that will be available in later rounds. Fresh legs are hard to find at the RB position in FA and if you do find them they are expensive.
The FO understands what it took for Elway to win two championships in the late stages of his career. I expect running the ball will not be an after thought for the offense this coming season. We were successful at running the ball the second half of the season even though we seldom used the option in those games. We we didn’t run the ball well in those games it was for a couple of reasons. Since we couldn’t pass the ball with any efficiency defenses were keying on the run and secondly, MeGahee was hurt. I suspect we may carry 4 RB’s on the roster and no fullback. Having quality depth at the position will be crucial to continuing the expeted game plan in a drive for the championship. We also just signed a TE that is capable of playing the FB spot when necessary.
Go Broncos!
My views on FA and draft.
Trade/cut Goodman and Knowshow.
Sign Okoye and Thomas.

You know I initially loved the physicality Burfict brought, then was sorely disappointed in him and decided against him. But if we can get him in the late rounds, with JDR as a former LB, I’d do it. But ONLY in the late rounds, we have MUCH more important needs.
I’m wondering if Ty Warren is going to be 100%. I read in the denver post a while back that Fox said he was coming along good. If Warren can play at 100%, he can be a force to reckon with!

For those who were wondering.
I cant believe that bracket. 81 49ers were not that good. The 85 bears will win that side and the 1984 49ers will win that bracket. The 1984 49ers beat the 1984 Bears so 1984 49ers best team ever is my pick. Our D only gave up 1 TD in that superbowl run and it was in the final minutes of the superbowl with back ups in the game.
Alaska- I like the McNutt pick, I guess I’m parital because I’m a hawkeye fan but that guy is tall, lanky with diceptive speed and has made huge catches in his college career. He was the best reciever in the big ten last year and has the best hands I’ve seen in a while. He’s an ex quarterback that switched to WR during his college career, kind of like Decker. I think we could get him late and that would be huge!
Hope everyone is doing good. Looking forward to the draft… This is going to ba a LONG LONG summer… LOL

I hope y’all are still voting!!!

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d827dd2da/article/no-telling-what-could-happen-this-week-at-nfl-annual-meeting
Annual owners meetings take place tomorrow!
Doom is gonna make 14 mil this year we should try to restructure his deal to cut it in half and add another 7 mil to the cap. Baileys 7.5 should be attempted to be redone to 4-5 mil adding 2.5-3.5 mil.
That would add about 10 mil give or take to the 8-11 mil we have and can add a couple other players to Dawk Hunter Dixion and Thomas.

Lol. They are a blessing. Kinda freaking out about telling our families though. Especially hers lol. I know my brothers kids are buggers but its different when they are your own. Were also freaking out about school. Shouldnt be that affected fortunately since we both have plenty of people to watch him/her when we need it.
