Texans running back Arian Foster, Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis, Jaguars tight end Zach Miller, and Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace are the other finalists this week for the the honor. You can vote for Moreno here through Wednesday at 4 p.m. MST.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honor. You can vote for Moreno here throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLIV in South Florida.

Yeah, and they also have a history of taking our real good players, Shannon Sharpe and Trevor Pryce. Possible, but it would be a twenties range pick at best, I would like better, if we want to go after Suh we need lots of trading power, assuming we don’t get a nose tackle in free agency.

I agree. But i really do think what you said yesterday about wilfork coming here makes alot of sense. but if seattle wants to give up that pick for marsh id be all for it. its alot easier to trade up 5 spots then 20.

I did not have anyone specific in mind for a trade, just thought it may be a good option. I know last year Julius Pepers was not happy in Carolina but I do not think he had a real good year.

    beefdirkus,
I agree it would be a good option, if we could get an established vet on the Dline. but there is a couple soild FA out there this year that could help if we wanted to spend the money. like vince wilfork and maybe even richard seymour if the raiders dont sign him.

Orton is a great back up QB thats it. How many deep balls did we try this year???? 2 ORton i the only QB in the NFL that can make CLADY look bad, i mean as a rookie he didnt give up a sack but now what 5 or so…i mean its cuz ORton stays in the pocket to long and holds the ball way to long just to throw the ball to the other team. Those picks to Johnson were awfull!! face it!!!! the only reason he even had half a decent year was the first 6 weeks!! people didnt know how to go vs him in the new system. IF he is so good, then why did our defense get worn down, down the stretch of the season when he couldnt maintain a dang drive, and its not coaching its his skill set that makes the play call. I like him as a back up but really the Jets made the playoffs with Dirty Matt Sanchez and sum buster WR’s. please!! its the QB its cuz they can take chancs…ORTON IS THE FUTURE BACK UP!!! 8-8 is the best u will ever get, just ask the bears or purdue!

I love the way we try new plays but dang how many top 5 rushing teams operate out of the shotgun???

if we draft anything!!! it need to be dline men…i luv the dude from TCU he is a beast and probably a 2nd rounder!!

It’s amazing how all the fair weathers came out when we were 6 and 0, orton this and orton that, and now we are not in the playoffs and some of these punk can aqctually open your mouths. What’s up with that, band-wagons? I didn’t see Orton cry much this year, not too many picks, I thought he was a professional aal around, but what do i know, I’m just a die hard, BRONCOS FAITHFUL always. So on behalf of Plummer, Orton, McD and the BRONCOS FAITHFUL, “HERE’S THE MIDDLE FINGER” BOO, BOO you fair weather fans.

aSharpeIdea: Problems with the O-line started when the original starters started getting injured. Holiday and Polumbo (or something like that) were not original starters.

imo i think bm stays and ts also

  11. monodono says:

    Who cares?

  12. brian_schneider says:

@BDawk20: There is one glaring mistake to your “remedy.” You don’t ever draft a punter. LOL!!!!!

  13. nw3030 says:

No way we keep BM or TS. And are you kidding me draft a punter! That is insane. No offense BDawk but we can easily get a punter through free agency. Plus we very well can stock pile some picks with the trade of Marsh and Scheff if there is no CBA in place. This draft is deep on both sides of the ball. There is value from top to bottom. And also i think vonnie played pretty well for us this year

  14. baylinorcrush says:

BDawk20, about drafting a punter we just took care of that, last week we got Colquitt, what do you think that’s for?

    May25, Holliday is a D lineman….

These guys haven’t been posting all year, I guess they are just rusty, LOL.

  15. baylinorcrush says:

Anyhow, it does seem that this off-season might be bringing a lot of new bloggers, which is great, but my question is where were they when we were playing???? For the life of me I can’t figure this one out. Absent for the whole season, as soon as the last day is played, let’s post now! What’s up with that?

  16. brian_schneider says:

@baylinorcrush: Not commenting on here every day doesn’t make you any less of a Bronco fan. LOL! I got chewed on that a while back. Maybe some of them were too speechless to comment. hehehe

  17. vabroncoguy says:

@bling I can respect that you like Orton and all, but really fairweather fans, would be the ones cheering during the 6-0 period. I don’t remember seeing you on here much either. Orton is really not as good as Cutler, you can say he is smart adn so are all of the quarterbacks that play for Harvard, that does not mean that they have the SKILL to play in the NFL which is the knock on Orton. He does not have as strong an arm as Cutler which is a fact, but he does not have a strong arem PERIOD. that hinders the offense. Even a McD who is “supposedly” an offensive genius is hinder by Orton’s inability. You know why we threw so many screens and hitches this year, because we couldn’t complete anything else. You know why we could not go deep more often. simply because Orton does not have the arm to. When he throws deep the ball stays in the air for a LONG time, thus giving defenders a chance to recover to the ball. Orton is what you want if you are not trying to be successful. But that is an arguement for another day. I do not appreciate the fact that you are calling people out for not appreciating this season of football. a fan doesn’t just sit and smile when to team loses. They are not happy with defeat. Failure does not bring a fan joy. A true fan expects more from the team. A fan gives the team it’s support full fledge and in return only asks of the team to do well. This team did not do well. I also say to those who say well this team was only EXPECTED to win 5 or 6 games, we should be happy with the eight. If your child is expected to fail are you happy with a “D”, no, you want them to excel regardless of what the obstacles are. McD was brought in to make this team better and that did not happen. The Cutler move was suppose to make this offense better and it got significantly worse. Smith was drafted with a first round pick , to make the defense better, he did not. Ayers, did not. Like him or not Moreno, did not. Benching Marshall did not make this team better. Not throwing to Royal did not make this team better. Slighting the one power back that you have on the team in an effort to provfe that you made the right decision in drafting Moreno did not. So yeah, people have a right to express how they feel. So I say to you, take that finger you gave everyone else, and pray that it is a foam one, cuz you can shove it. WITH ALL DUE RESPECT

Bay and brian, I never posted on here because i was just more of an observer. But with all of the bashing of our team and coach i wanted my voice to be heard. pretty lame i know but it is what it is.

orton is what you want if you are not trying to be successful?thats just 2pid

  20. rayjr26 says:

    @vabroncoguy…
honestly i have disagreed with most of what you have said this year, but i must agree with your current post! orton is probably the best #2 QB in this league!! and while i hoped he would be our #1 it just didnt pan out. his arm strength did indeed hinder this football team this year. but honestly IMO i think what hurt us the most this season was our coaches ego! i REALLY like McD and hope he will be a great coach for us for many years to come but he ran off a franchise QB, refused to play a back that i still think could have really made a difference in our short yardage game, is working on running our best player period (B.Marsh) out of denver, and our best pass catching/route running TE out is prob going to be gone too! i wonder if his ego is big enough to accommodate anyone thats not a patriot cast off! dont be surprised if he doesnt want to keep DOOM also. and you can bet your bottom that when champs contract is up (next year maybe) that he will be gone! im just watching all these great players get discarded and wondering what things are going to be like next year if we dont have ANYONE!! i mean the broncos have always been an organization that people WANT to play for. if McD keeps treating all his stars this way then who in their right mind is going to want to play here??
impatiently waiting for that return to greatness,
    a sad broncos fan.
