After being named AFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, it was announced Friday that running back Knowshon Moreno’s performance against Baltimore also earned him the FedEx Ground NFL Player of Week award.
Moreno earned the recognition by rushing for 118 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries in his team’s 34-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15.
It was the most rushing yards a visiting running back has gained against the Ravens since 2010. Moreno got off to a strong start with 74 yards in the first half, the second-most productive half of his career. His first-half effort was highlighted by a 20-yard run that included a memorable hurdle of Baltimore safety Ed Reed.
Moreno found the end zone for the third time this season with a 6-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that gave his team a commanding 31-3 lead.
Moreno has now topped the 100-yard mark in each of his past two games, including a 119-yard outing against Oakland in Week 14. In the past four weeks, he has averaged 121.8 scrimmage yards per game, which ranks fourth in the NFL in that category and second behind Vikings running back Adrian Peterson among running backs.
As part of the Air & Ground program and its commitment to small business owners, FedEx will support education efforts at Junior Achievement by making weekly $2,000 donations in each of the winning players’ names. The funding, allocated to local Junior Achievement area offices in that team’s city or state, is used to help U.S. small business development, by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.

Way to go, Knowshon… I knew you could hurdle all the obstacles put in front of you…
Good for Moreno. I
Thats cool Turtle rt on, heres my prediction for the game sunday
Broncos 34
browns 13
This is HUGE! Over AD and everything. Wowzers! Way to go!!!
Good for Moreno. I will not call him No Show no more. He has been great since stepping into Willis’s shoes. Manning & Miller need to have great games if they want to get MVP & DPY. Every one keeps talking about AP being comeback player but he only missed the last game of the year, Peyton missed the whole season!
Opps Broncos 33- Browns 9
Congrats Moreno!
For the team- Moore & Moreno are co-comback players of the year from last season. Lol
Broncos Country Strong 2012!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the look on Peyton’s face in the background.
Classic
And all he had to do was tie his shoes better…..
OC this is true and surprisingly he hasn’t lost his shoe the last two games. Shocking!
Well, the world didn’t explode today. LOL
I missed all of the early action today. Good stuff everyone. I worked all day today. Tomorrow as well! Cool beans!
Maybe his loose shoes were the problem all along and they never figured it out until coach Studesville read my blog comments and tied Moreno’s shoes for him the next day, and the rest will be multiple Super Bowl wins and a hall of fame carrer for Knowshon!!!!!!!
All thanks to my whitty loose shoe comments on this blog, we could win the whole Enchalada!!!!!! wow…
That’s almost as good as the idea to fill Mile High with Orange Towels……
I wonder if they’ll invite me to the Super Bowl party??
justkddn……LMBO
KEEP YOUR SHOES ON KNOWSHON!!!!!!
I LOVE ME SOME DENVER BRONCOS!!!!!ILMSDB
All kidding aside….
Knowshon, if you’re reading this by any chance, I want you to know that I think you are doing a tremendous job and whatever it was that you didn’t have before, you got it now man!
I can’t wait to see your game against the Browns… You should be able to SHREAD their defense if you keep patient on your blocks and Burst through to Daylight and Paydirt!!!!!
KNOWSHOWN THE SHREADER!!!!!!
Gotta hand it to him. Handled it like a professional and now handing it to the league like the back he was in college.
It never made any sense to me. Watching is college videos and is pro stuff, it was like watching two different backs.
I jumped on the knowgo train too after he didnt perform. Im happy to eat crow. Keep it up Knowshon.
Question for Bronco’s Country: Why have we not worn our throwback uniforms this year?
??? What do you mean dwalls ??? I wear my throwback Tebow jersey in all three colors…and I do so for nearly every game! LOL
I wanna say they wore the all blue unis for the NO night game… I know they wore them once this season at home!
I just noticed I keep coming up anonymous. Lol
But it was the San Diego game…
Here’s a pic!!!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was referring to the old style uniforms. Last time I remember was in SD in 09 I think. The vertical striped socks were as retro as they get, better looking IMO than the Bumble Bee unis of the Stealers. I seem to recall some discussions about wearing the light blue and orange unis of the 85-96 era. The one with the snorting Bronco in the big D on the helmet. Iguess there are some combinations of the new uniforms that we haven’t seen yet. I’m pretty sure there is an all orange one, and I don’t think I’ve seen the dark pants with any but the dark jersey. How about the white jersey and dark pants for a road game? Like say the next Super Bowl.
so what is the status on the bbbp contest?
Guys like Champ and Peyton will ensure this team stays focused and they will take care of business against the Browns. I think Weeden is in for a long day at the office. This is the perfect game for both the O and D to fire on all cylinders. The Browns have a pretty good D, but I honestly don’t see this even being close.
And I’m making a prediction………AP runs all over Houston and the Vikes get a steal. That’ll leave us tied for the number 1 seed……..then they go into Indy and take on a hungry Colts team and get blown out. That’s right……..the AFC goes through Denver!
GO BRONCOS!
The final insult to Tebow has been laid out in N-Y; Sanchez to be named backup QB to McElroy for tomorrow’s game. But there is a carrot for Timmy, he might still be activated for the game…. all I can say is Fox and McCoy did a 300% better job with Tebow than the Jets. I bet Tim keeps gaining more and more respect for the Broncos organization every day.
The Broncos got Phillip Blake, Danny Trevathan, and $2.53M, in exchange for Tim Tebow and 7th round pick. Tebow will most likely be cut by the Jets, and could head north to the CFL, if he wants to be a starter. Not a bad way to salvage a prior 1st round draft pick IMO, especially if Blake gives us some much needed OL depth next season.
I bet Tebow’s mom won’t let him go live in Canada, LOL.
I’ve heard a few folks mention it, and it makes the most sense IMO. He would be given a starter job outright, and the media circus would be a fraction of what it would be in the NFL. He could be left to hone his craft, w/o his every move being scrutinized, and he wouldn’t be under the immense pressure to be benched if he slips up a bit. Doug Flutie and Ricky Williams are two names off the top of my head who went that route, and Kurt Warner came by way of the arena league.
The huge difference with these guys is Tebow has got bigger designs than playing football (as a missionary) so I seriously doubt he takes the long road to make an attempt at honing his skills as you say that has no guarantee to succeed whatsoever. As far as I can tell if he doesn’t get hired by Jacksonville to fight for a starting QB position he will be done with that part of his life, could be wrong though, but it’s my gut feeling.
At this point you would pretty much have to be some sort of masochist to keep hanging in there. The amount of controversy that is created around him in the football world would make anyone crazy, even him eventually. Personally I would move on as quickly as I could. He has achieved so many things in football others only dream of, staying with it any longer has much better chances to tarnish his image than enhance it IMO. I believe he will figure that out.
Not only that……the CFL field is 10 yards longer than the NFL field………and that means throwing an extra ten yards for a TD! lol He had a hard enough time on a 100 yard field!
If Elways statements are true……and I believe them to be…….Tebow made his own bed by choosing to go to the Jets instead of the Jags. Had he gone to the Jags he most def would’ve gotten to play as Gabbert is overly ineffective.
Tebow made his choice and he must now deal with it being a bad one and listening to him complain has not been high on my list of ways to respect him either. We got Peyton and we have a real shot at the ship!!!
Tebow definitely picked the Jets over the Jags, oh well, he wanted the bigger platform and he got it, he just didn’t know how New York sports eats you up and spits you out, young man, lesson to be learned, that’s what life is, a constant lesson about everything….
I feel certain about one thing………if we never got Peyton and kept Tebow, we would be no where close to sniffing 13 wins on the season. Our D would prob be worn out by now. lol
killer, thanks for ruining my day with that image.
hahaha bay! Well, the good thing is that never happened. We got Peyton and the whole culture in our organization has changed……..BACK TO WINNING! And that makes my day, everyday!
With so many teams running the spread option, I have to believe Tebow can find a spot as a backup somewhere. Instead of banishment to the CFL… Carolina, Sea, and SF come to mind.
What about RG3 and Shannahan? Or if he who shall not be named lands a HC job (haha), I could see a reunion there!
As for his choosing NY over Jacksonville, even though it didn’t work out as he had hoped, I can understand why. He has the rest of his life to go back home. Why not go to The Big Apple as a young adult. Besides, if Rexy wasn’t so prideful… Tebow could/should have got a shot to start a few games!
All I know is regardless of his lack of ability, we got to witness one of the greatest moments in Denver Broncos history… That was awesome!
Broncos Country Strong 2012!!!!!!!!!!!
Kod, we would’ve probably still won the division though… Lol how lame is the AFC West!
CFL will not help Tebow. It is more of a throwing league than the NFL is.
