With Willis McGahee on injured reserve, running back Knowshon Moreno is active on gameday for the first time since Week 2.
In his prior games against Kansas City, Moreno has seen more success than against any other NFL team. In five matchups with the divisional foe, he has two games of more than 100 rushing yards, two games with two rushing touchdowns and in the fifth game he averaged 13 yards per carry before leaving the game with a knee injury that ended his season.
He has averaged 5.4 yards per carry against the Chiefs, more than 1.5 yards greater than his average against the rest of the league.
In 2010, Moreno set a career high at Kansas City with 161 rushing yards, a total that remains his highest single-game rushing performance.
The only two multiple-rushing touchdown days of his career were both against Kansas City.
Running back Lance Ball also looks to get more action today and follow up his most recent performance against the Chiefs. In November of 2011, he ran it a career high 30 times — twice his previous career high — and tallied a career-best 96 yards in the Broncos’ 17-10 victory.
