Though other options have been available, the Broncos have been practicing outside in the rain all week. Head Coach John Fox said that the players’ focus wasn’t affected by the rain, but how the weather has affected football practice is less important that how it has affected the rest of the state.
“There are a lot of people in the state that have it a lot worse than we do for sure,” Fox said Friday. “It’s something you deal with. I think it’s something that down the line could actually be helpful if we do have those elements. Our preparation was fine. Our guys were very focused and did an outstanding job. But that rain has affected a lot of other people way more negatively than it did us.”
The Broncos have been busy in preparation for Sunday’s game with the Giants but Fox said he’s been following the news.
“Yeah, we’ve been paying attention,” he said. “I know Boulder’s been hit pretty hard. I haven’t been in front of the television 24/7 or anything, but a little bit. I’ve gathered there are people that have lost lives and a lot of valuable property I’m sure.”
