Miller Returns to Practice

December 2nd, 2011 - 1:19pm by Max Henson

Linebacker Von Miller returned to practice today, sporting a cast on his right thumb, which required surgery earlier in the week.

Head Coach John Fox said Miller is questionable for Sunday against the Vikings in Minnesota.

“I definitely want to be out there for my teammates,” Miller said. “I’m feeling pretty good. I have full faith in our athletic training staff and I’m taking all the steps possible to play in this game. I’ve been preparing all this week and it’s just up to the training staff. I know they have my best interests at heart.”

Miller said he’s never played with a cast on his hand, but the rookie doesn’t anticipate it being too much of a hindrance in the future.

“It’s not going to change the way I play the game,” Miller said. “I’m still going to have fanatical effort to the ball, relentless pursuit to the ball. I don’t think that’s going to change.”

Here is the Broncos injury report for Week 13:

Willis McGahee — Probable (Illness)
Daniel Fells — Probable (Hand)
Von Miller — Questionable (Thumb)
Eddie Royal — Questionable (Toe)
David Bruton — Probable (Achilles)

And here is the Vikings injury report:

Lobos? – They can’t score to save their pathetic lives. Just missed – best chance to score…

  2. strandoftds says:

I saw that he was Rockin N Rollin last night.

  3. daddybronc says:

Too early for BFE – he’s getting warmed up though.

  4. strandoftds says:

Daady, I just finished a book last night. It`s called My Time In Heaven. The most amazing story I ever read. Breath taking.

  5. strandoftds says:

    Is it Sunday morning yet?

  6. Greatness007 says:

@Daddy I think DT sometimes be thinking that Josh Nesbitt could of threw him a better pass. lol ( that was his option QB at GT)

@strandoftds With all the battle with everyone telling me Timmy would not work out on this site. With all the people who just started to blog on here confusing me for a gator fan turned Broncos fan. (Not true by the way) The only thing I dont like is people taking credit for this type of O. If you remember or go back to the nfl website and look at the last 3 games. We where running the belly/read/Tebow option. people act like they didnt see this last yr especially against SD. If you look at the Pats O really close. Brady does from time to time the Belly option read pass. Tim just run but Brady would pass off of it. Before people bash me do your research first!! I would not say it if i didn’t do mine.

Everyone is gone. I`m a blog killer. LOL

38 – 0 Broncos!!! Kellen Moore showing no mercy.

With your handle you give yourself away. I`m a Elway fan as well. I didn`t miss a single game in the Elway days going back to game one against the Steelers.

  11. strandoftds says:

I wonder what round in the draft Kellen Moore is projected to go.

  12. strandoftds says:

    ??

  13. daddybronc says:

Sick unto death of the “tebow-bad pass” rhetoric. Just doesn’t fly. Everyone throws bad passes every now and again. Tebow may be throwing over-hot on the short ones – but the rec. have to catch when it hits them in the hands. We have given them time to catch on = break-out game against MIN!

  14. Greatness007 says:

Kellen Moore will be a 3rd to 4th round pick. Not for lack of talent. He is only 6’1 and that is pushing it. Plus only weighs in at 191.

  15. alexanserg says:

There is a particular play I want to see run more frequently.

Can’t draw X’s and O’s, so I’ll try to explain it. Same initial triple option that we have seen a couple times where TT either hands of to McG initially, or keeps it and proceeds to lateral it to Eddie Royal on the outside, or just keeps it and runs. I only want to see them add two routes to the sideline in the direction of the play – let’s say 5 and 15 yards deep – and thus the pass option.

  16. Greatness007 says:

Daddy I think and im sorry to say this but the fix is in on Tebow. He was not suppose to do this and it back fired on Elway and Fox. This was made to undermine Tim to the fans. Reeves did this to Elway. In Fox and Elway’s minds Tim was not suppose to make these 4th qt comebacks like John did. So they could say see he is not the next me!!! It back fired and if John thinks of trading him next season. The Denver fans as much as they love John will stone him!!!!! Timmy is getting better with every game on Timing and his mechanics. His footwork is way better now than the Miami game. The plan was to have Luck make a power play like Elway did. Then the Broncos swoop in and help the lowly franchise who drafted the spoiled Luck. Now they better Keep drafting D players and playmakers around Tim. It’s only 4 QBs in my mind that can beat out Timmy. They are all going in the first rd or early second.

  17. strandoftds says:

I don`t think that for one second. The Johns aren`t that stupid.

  18. Greatness007 says:

Ok Alex I see what your talking about. Like the bootleg plays when done correctly and 2 WR mirror the QB on his rollout. Instead of that fake though. Put our Option play fake in there to make it look like the WR or WRS missed there blocks. They would be 1 on 1 with the FS and SS. I think the Corners would bite on the option hard.

  19. daddybronc says:

I think I agree on the back fired theory – but Fox is all in now – he looks like a genius. Elway – wants to win.

007 – nice link – very funny – Skip missed his opportunity to say – wait a second, Von Miller played the whole game in the first contest against SD. The turn around happened when Tebow walked on the field. End of story!!!

  20. daddybronc says:

Moore – INT. Through it directly to the defense. So much for surgical precision. Can we give Tebow a breaK!!!

  21. daddybronc says:

I wanna see Decker with more pass attempts.

  22. daddybronc says:

How about the Decker to Tebow in the flat option – LOL but you know it would work!!!

  23. daddybronc says:

My boys think that Tebow is too obvious – so Tebow has to be the decoy.

  24. daddybronc says:

    ‘blogkiller’

  25. The Dane says:

Wasn’t it Moore’s backup who threw the INT?

  26. Greatness007 says:

@strandoftds If so then tell me why Oregon Ducks RB Johnson was Timmy’s Primary WR late in the game and over time???? Ok Royal was the only WR hurt. Decker could of got 1 on 1. Willis would of got 1 on 1. Hell DT still is getting 1 on 1. They put in 5’9 186 Johnson out on slant routes???? Com on man!!!! Steve young was right about what they are doing to Timmy. I like how he called them out on it. They were tryna show that if Timmy make his teammates better than Johnson would look like Percy Harvin. If you look at the end of the SD game. Elway and Ex were standing next to eachother. Timmy was kneeling next to EX. When the game was over Ex high five Timmy. John went walking down the sidelines. Timmmy seen McCoy and went to hug him like he always does. McCoy seen John and went for the hand shake. After the hand shake Timmy hugged McCoy and John just slapped him on the back( were talking about Timmy) and walked off. So it’s something there. Won’t come out till the off season though.

  27. Greatness007 says:

@daddy you could of been a great debater. lol

  28. daddybronc says:

Dane – might have been – lost visual on the game. Then I lost the game. Urghhh!!!

  29. daddybronc says:

Not me 007 – I’m a fighter down deep – but up front you get a smile and congeniality!!!

  30. Greatness007 says:

@daddy you know since Tulock did the Tebowing pose after a sack. aAdding on the post game comments of the Lions too. They have been cursed. So remember if you hate on Timmy you will get boils and Horse teeth.

  31. daddybronc says:

    LOL

  32. daddybronc says:

007 – Lions likely to get whooped on again by the “Saints” !!! Haha – LOL Haha – LOL

  34. daddybronc says:

BOISE, Idaho—Kellen Moore threw three touchdowns in the final home game of his brilliant career and Doug Martin ran for two more as No. 9 Boise State rolled over New Mexico 45-0 Saturday.
Moore, the winningest starting quarterback in college football history, was nearly flawless and the Broncos’ defense had no problem bottling up the punchless Lobos.
Moore was 28 of 33 for 313 yards before heading for the sideline midway through the third quarter. His three touchdowns give him 41 for the season, setting a new school single-season record. He also set a new school record for completions in a season with 300.
Martin rushed for 110 yards on 19 carries, and his 40-yard touchdown run in the third quarter gave the Broncos a 38-0 lead.
The victory gives the Broncos (11-1, 6-1) their second straight season with a single loss and looks to clear the way for another trip to the MAACO Bowl in Las Vegas, where they dismantled No. 20 Utah a year ago 26-3.
Boise State’s only loss came Nov. 12 against TCU.
New Mexico (1-11, 1-6) managed only 197 total yards on offense and the offense only crossed midfield twice.

    He’d make a great Bronco!!!

  35. daddybronc says:

Can’t figure how the Boise Broncos started the game ranked at number 7 and finished at number 9 with a 45-0 score???

  36. baylinorcrush says:

Robert Griffin III for Heisman, he’s got my vote, best college QB all around out there this year by a mile, absolutely unbelievable.

  37. Bronco_Turtle says:

Bay? did you watch any of the games that Baylor lost?

  38. daddybronc says:

One thing is for certain – best QB doesn’t belong to Luck. I think Luck ends up being 4 or 5 – and never becomes a franchise QB. Too spoiled!

  39. baylinorcrush says:

That was earlier in the season, he has kept getting better and better anyone who can’t see his worth now I got nothing I can say.

  40. Bronco_Turtle says:

He’s got Talent… no doubt… I was just wondering if you watched the games he lost… Cause that’s how he looked…

You think he has a shot at being a pro QB? I mean for more than a season?

  41. baylinorcrush says:

And Luck is not the best college QB but he will be the best out of this class in the Pros would be where my money goes.

  42. baylinorcrush says:

I believe RG3 will make his mark in the pros, probably a first round pick, and any team would be happy to have him, a Tebow of sort, if he doesn’t make it at QB he can make it at some other position, he is just too good to pass on, I already said I’d love to have him.

  43. Bronco_Turtle says:

    I respect your assessment… but I disagree!!!

You and I should make a side bet… as to who has more Completions/Touchdowns/Wins in their first 3 seasons in the NFL…

I will take Tyler Wilson and you can have Griffen… Friendly Wager!

  44. Bronco_Turtle says:

What are your thoughts about Foley?

  45. baylinorcrush says:

Trust me odds are we won’t both be here in three years, bloggers almost go through a full cycle change every year I have been on except for a select few. Like all you guys who are on here today weren’t here last year, just saying.

  46. Bronco_Turtle says:

and are you guys watching the ACC Championship? Really a good game…

  47. baylinorcrush says:

    Big ten here.

  48. Bronco_Turtle says:

:o ) We’ll see! I’ve been coming to the sight for several years… after reading how out of touch most bloggers were about the team this year I couldn’t keep quiet any longer!
