NFL Network continued its countdown of the top 100 players in 2012 last night with another Bronco making the list.
Von Miller came in at No. 52, joining RB Willis McGahee (98) and Elvis Dumervil (68) as Broncos players that have made the list thus far.
“The type of guy that I am, all that stuff doesn’t matter to me,” Miller said on the show. “It’s all about winning games and the ultimate goal of winning that Lombardi Trophy.”
Miller earned All-Pro, Pro Bowl and Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year honors after finishing his first NFL season with 11.5 sacks. He is one of four rookies to make the list.
Tackle Ryan Clady, who has seen plenty of Miller’s ability from practicing against him, joined the show sporting similar frames to Miller’s signature look.
“He’s just such a fast player, it’s tough sometimes to get your hands on him,” Clady said. “He’ll probably be in the Pro Bowl for the rest of his career. He’s one of those types of guys.”
Cornerback Champ Bailey also talked about Miller’s unique skill-set on the show.
“Just that rare athleticism that he has, I think his ability to bend his body and his speed and combination of power and strength – you usually don’t see that in young guys right away,” Bailey said. “It’s just rare to have that kind of speed for his size.”

So the WORD of the year is NECK!!!!!!
year? that may be the word of the decade!! time will tell but its got the potential to be epic!!
yeah… like Elway really stuck his Neck out on this one…
Tide, I did get email! Thank you, just had a chance to read through it and I’m glad that there is documentation from a second source!!!
wait its peytons neck not elways neck. see how you did that wrong?
LBF… Swoosh… You think Johnny boy gets a second chance if ‘Plan A’ is not successful?
i dont acklowledge the premise of your question. plan a will not go wrong.
Well… that’s your right
and he hasnt been here long enough to establish a complex plan b. i do however see the great personell moves he’s making that will make us better now and in the future. its obvious very early he knows how to build a strong team. strong in all the right ways. he’s setting us up quite well. bottom line is your only problem is getting manning at tebows expense. but if manning is available and you dont have a qb, you get manning. theres not been enough time to develop a solid no 2 but what he did do is draft a guy with a ton of potential so we’ll be good when manning is ready to retire. what would plan b have looked like? in the short amount of time he’s been here what more could he have done? he gave timmy his chance and it was very obvious to objective people that he was not an nfl qb. then he brought in manning and got rid of the punt team guy trying to play qb. no better move existed in that scenario.
and i mean a feasable plan b. not some ‘just bring in a young, elite qb’ plan, like that would be easy. he’s done great with the time and constraints considered. we’re well on our way up and its easy to see to me. of course i tend to wear orange tinted glasses!
anyone know when the dates for the schedule come out. trying to book a denver kc game in kc with a posse from canada. only 12 hours from here
i’ll say that it is legitimate turtle but he did a fine job all things considered. nothing and noone is perfect. we’re going to be in good shape short and long term imo. and thats all i can ask for really. thats doing a good job to me. so go elway and GO BRONCOS!!!!
dates are out and tickets are for sale canada. look for the schedule on the broncos website.
and with that, i’m out guys. til tomorrow!!!
Short of the objective comment you almost made a point lbf… Elway is in a tough spot, and honestly doesn’t have the greatest track record in life as the head guy (short of his championship in AFL year 2, he lost that franchise eventually) and from my understanding was forced to sell his car franchises due to a ponzi scheme loss of over 15m… there was the wife thing also but those personal aspects of his life no way would carry over into his decision making as the head of the broncos…
I just hope that it works out for everyone the way you say…
and again…. I didn’t post the Elway Neck comment to start an arguement… simply join in the fun on the flip side of ‘Neckromania’ but once again thanks for you input, always invaluable
thanks lbf
I agree with you completely that Elway was in a real bad spot, and he has done some good things so far, but to openly state that there is no ‘Plan B’ is nothing short of arrogant and is really sticking his neck out…
I am in no way shape or form blaming Elway for the overall failure of the AFL, and I hope that wasn’t implied…
Just forgive me if my tinted shades have simply gotten me a little ‘blue’!!! Nothing that can’t be solved by some Broncos Football… is it too early to start the countdown for the pre-season?
http://www.milehighreport.com/2012/4/4/2925988/the-broncos-2012-preseason-schedule
Aug 9-13 is our first pre-season game, and it’s May 24… for counting sake let’s assume that the game is the 9th of August, that would leave approximitely 76 days give or take before we get our first live action of the PM Broncos!!! 76 days!!!, feels like we counted down longer than that for the draft…
PUM PUM PUM!!! 76 Days’ish until Bronco Football!!! If that doesn’t make your big toe jump up in your boot I don’t know what will!!!
man 76 days is nothing i was in state jail 18o days
almost on bunks they start at 52
Nice Skillz! is there a story that goes along with the state Jail post? I love a good story!
well i was in houston and the beotch of an ex wife of mine planted a twenty of cocaine in my car on my birthday whille we where bar hoping and called the cops so when we left i was pulled over nice huh lol so i did probation for 2 years but threw the divorce i lost my car and had noway getting downtown so i missed several appointments with my po and they got me at another one lol fkrs! so they took me threw a hall and bam i was in jail for six months
on another note man while i was in jail i held all the smokes the bleach to clean our clothes and the chess board and a few lighters because not one of the guys from any of the wards or south park wanted any part of it lol fake ass gangstas lol i am not a gangsta but damn i put those guys to shame pretty weak for so called hard asses lol
i was pretty much the crazy white/mexican there lol
thebonly guy allowed to play basketball at rec time that wasn’t black and i hit 3 game winning threes back to back to back games all come from behind
shout otu to K dorm lol
won all kinds of food cigs and other stuff playing bball and spades and dominoes
they all thought it was crazy i was better than them lol
we even had paper dice but i stayed away from that lol
the cards where from milk cartons that u get for breakfast i had those in my bunk too
at one time i even had the dang tattoo gun in the damn bunk
funny note in all 27 fights the mexicans won one vs the blacks yikes
you know the check point on I-25 north after it comes off I-10 in New Mexico… I spent 11 hours in the holding cell in March of 2010 while they searched my car and ran my records etc… they were convinced I was someone I wasn’t and I got out of there with out even a ticket (cause it’s a border patrol station and if you have less than a felonies worth of whatever they just consider it an ‘incident’, so if you don’t lie they let you go!)
lol yeah man i was on trash duty for the jail lol funny story how i got onto trash duty but i will save that for tomorrow anyways u got to go outside after breakfast lunch and dinner to take the trash and across the street from our jail was county with all kinds of girls hanging out in line to see their man all the while flirting with us guys throwing freakin trash out lol sl@ts
well on day it was really windy and the damn trash can blew away like 50 yards while i was chasing it. so there i am 50 yds away in downtown Houston and when i finally catch up i look down the road then look back and then down the road again lol but i decided i could do the last few months
when i got back my job officer was like i was ready to call the squad thought u where gonna make a run for it i just smiled. he was real cool he always thought if some1 would run it would be me just for kicks lol
I went to jail once for throwing a glow stick and hitting the worm up band singer at a Foreigner concert….
lol good story turtle
remind me to tell you the story of when i got to state and when the warden major and assistant warden when handing me my job detail
and also the time i was banned from comecery for cussing out the lady that gave us our food lol
Nice Skillz! Life is way better when you live every moment!!! I would have been real tempted to just keep on rolling but you know it’s not like the movies and hardly worth the escape if like you said, there was only a couple months left on your stretch!
OC? were you aiming at him?!? if so nice shot man!!!
right nice shot how far away where u oc
not worth it mandatory seven years i believe iif you escape
Okay, I meant that the glow stick hit the warm up band singer on stage… (John Cafferty beaver band) or something like that..
But I really didn’t mean for it to happen and didn’t even bring the stupid glow stick to the concert! I was just standing there and someone else threw it down from the stands and I just picked it up and threw it away (stupidly toward the stage) and BAM! Take down and dragged out of the concert!
I was so mad that I kept banging on the window outside the arena and then the big brawl came, a cop knocked me in the back of the Neck with a real stick and I wake up pig tied in the back of the cruiser in the basement of the bacon shack…..!
Anyways, I survived the ordeal and lived to see another day and only 12 hours in the clink.. Thank the Stars above!
nov 25 in kc just got tickets. what color should i wear.
white
i believe
I’ve been arrested 4 times, and jailed 3… at 16 for literally punching an officer (ironically for calling me a stoner, in my young Redneck days when I was 100% anti-drug… in fairness I warned him not to shine his light in my eyes again and he says ‘Oyeah tough guy, what are gonna do about it’ and shined me so I popped him, then got tackled by officer number 2!!!) at 17 for helping my Grandpa move some Elk Carcasses that were eating our winter cattle feed and twice in college, once for DUI (which I got off of) and once for simple possession of marijuana… O’ the lessons we learn!!!
Nice OC!!!
i have been in jail on my birthday 3 different times from 3 different events
even spent the millennium in there in downtown tampa lol
I gotta head to the cozy nest and get my sleep all…
Good old night and sweet dreams in Broncos Country friends…..
