Broncos linebacker Von Miller has added to his growing list of career accolades with his first AFC Defensive Player of the Month Award, the NFL announced on Thursday.
Miller led the AFC with eight sacks and 10 tackles for a loss in the month of November, while tying for the conference lead with three forced fumbles. He was the only player to record a sack in four different games during the month, helping the Broncos to a 4-0 record in November.
Last year’s Defensive Rookie of the Year, Miller established, and then matched his career high with a pair of three-sack games in November. He brought down fellow 2011 first-round draft choice Andy Dalton three times on Nov. 4 against the Bengals to start the month and set a new career high with 29 yards lost on his three sacks of Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers on Nov. 18.
Miller earned the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award following his three-sack, two-forced fumble effort in Denver’s win vs. San Diego in Week 11.
Through 12 weeks, Miller ranks third in the NFL in sacks with 14 and is tied for the league lead with 24 tackles for a loss.
Miller becomes the first Bronco since cornerback Champ Bailey in October, 2006 to earn the AFC Defensive Player of the Month Award. The recognition marks the eighth time a Bronco has won the award and he is the seventh player in franchise history to take home the honor.
The award is the second conference Player of the Month honor for a Bronco this season, as quarterback Peyton Manning earned the offensive award in October.

Anyone see this article featuring Marshall. Sounds like their trying to point the finger at Denver for players using Viagra as a PED.
Hiya Strandsky! Von is BEAST!!!!
brian_schneider, alaska also posted that article two blogs back
Sorry for the re-post but this is my thoughts
I think the writer of that article is a dink alaska.
“Marshall spent four seasons with the Denver Broncos, which is likely where he saw the product used.”
what a stupid, moronic thing to say, complete speculation, he also played in Miami and is now in Chicago, he could have seen it used there. Also he could also have just heard about players using it while he played in Denver, it does not mean a Bronco player was using it or that he saw it first hand in Denver. Way to throw out blind, unfounded statements. – (I mean the writer of the article)
The writer is grasping for straws. What an idiot.
Absolutely, but not the king of the idiots, I’ll leave that title to Marshall, haha.
Yeah, he still holds that title!
We all know Marshall doesn’t use his brain very much. LOL
These players should be ok if the game doesn’t go into overtime and last more than 4 hours. What an idiot.
Yeah, this was my favorite Marshall quote in that article ” I’m fortunate enough to be blessed with size and some smarts to give me my edge”. I know he was talking on the field only, but smarts with Marshall in the same sentence really made me crack up, too funny.
That smarts, As in (A McDanolds bag and a TV). LOL
Von miller is one best linebackers of all time. I believe we have only have gotten a taste of his potential.
He is a true asset. I am sure glad he plays for the broncos. If the broncos continue to play at level they are playing, they will be the next Super Bowl champs. It would be a toss up for MVP. Miller or Manning.

“This easily could go the other way, but Peyton Manning’s going to have his way with the
inexperienced (except for Ronde Barber) Bucs secondary. Much, much admiration, by the way, for the way
Knowshon Moreno handled his business last week. Here’s a guy who was on the scout team much of the season,
and with the injury to Willis McGahee had to step up and play well to beat the Chiefs. He did”.

I wonder if Jacob Hester will be used at the goal line if need be.
