For the past few weeks, the tandem of linebacker Von Miller and defensive end Elvis Dumervil have given quarterbacks and offensive lines fits. That trend continued Sunday.
On second-and-5 from the Chargers’ 36-yard line, Miller eluded the right tackle on a spin move and got to San Diego’s quarterback Philip Rivers just as Dumervil arrived from the left side. It was the fourth straight game the duo split sacks.
For Dumervil, that gives him 4.5 sacks in the last four games, and Miller now has 10.5 on the year, which lead all rookies.
