On Tuesday, the Broncos welcomed back a familiar face.
Running back Willis McGahee joined his teammates on the practice field Tuesday for the first time since injuring his knee in Week 11 against the San Diego Chargers.
He wore shoulder pads, his helmet and a black jersey to signify that he’s not yet ready for contact.
McGahee was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return back in November. While he’s eligible to return to practice, he is not eligible to play in a game until the AFC Championship, should the Broncos defeat the Baltimore Ravens this Saturday.
Also present at practice Tuesday were tackle Ryan Clady, guard Chris Kuper and wide receiver Trindon Holliday. The Broncos aren’t required by the NFL to release a full injury report until after Wednesday’s session.

Glad hes back and practicing.
stay on track, keep working and stay healty and you four will share in holding , ” this one’s for John” Superbowl trophy.
Future quote…
“This one’s for Champ” – John Elway
Welcome back Big Will
Having Kuper back at Guard is huge also.
it is huge to have Kupe back, it makes it that more difficult for opposing teams to rush the interior of our offensive line
I believe elway said it will be “this one’s's for pat”
You don’t like Rammy “Saloon Door” Ramirez?
I also like to see guys coming back. It seems to me that they come back fresh and energized. McG is likely to have a statement game where he establishes himself as the #1 all over again.
He’s not supposed to be back for the Ravens game…right??? I’d love for McG to have a statement game against the Pats and roll into the SB.
He can’t play till the Conference game based on the conditions of the returnable IR rules.
Also, someone will have to be cut from the 53 man roster to make room for McGahee.
I’m looking forward to having Willis McGahee coming back in the AFC Championship game. I’m all for it.
It’s great to see all the guys coming back with energy. The ravens are not the only ones with players returning from injuries.
!!!! GO BRONCOS !!!!
I think that it will be Porter cut from the roster. I think I feel sympathy for Porter. So glad the rest of our secondary is so deep.
I skip posting during games cause I know it gets crazy and I’d rather watch the game then post. During non-game time, it seems that it’s mostly the usual people around here but since we made the playoffs and we are the one seed, I’m seeing a lot of unusual names around here.
Porter seems a little perturbed to be here. For his health, I think Denver has done the right things. I too think he will be cut. He is a great player and I feel for him.
I was just taking a look see around NFL.com. Now ‘splain this to me….Broncos are ranked #1 – Ravens are ranked #8. Pats and Texans are ranked #2 and #7. How do the polls give the Texans less of a shot at beating the Pats than the Ravens do, of beating the Broncos.
I guess nobody saw how dominated the Ravens were in the last game.
Cause the polls are from the edjumacated public and the rankings are from people slightly more in the know. I say slightly, cause I don’t think they are really all that much better than the general population of retards.
DB, read the comments posted at the bottom of an ESPN article sometime and you will see how little everyone truly knows even though they think they know football.
The Ravens don’t have a shot! I’m mean really?!
I don’t know if it is that RH…there has been speculation that he is experiencing petit mal seizures. I think he is questioning himself more than the organization.
I back Champ all the way but, the next one is “This one’s for Pat”
New blog guys.
I think we should stick with Knowshown, he has been a beast! He’s HITTNG the holes between the Tackles and he has one ting Mcgahee does not have, EXPLOSIVENESS! i STILL CAN’T GET OVER THE THAT ED REED LEAP! O M G ! iTS THIS EASY 80-95 YARDS WITH McG 100-140 yards with Knowshoes! lol plus Moreno is a better reciever out of the Backfield…The mat is to easy. Plus with that big full back Hester we should just stick with the winning combo..If Knowsown gets hurt that is another story, I also don’t like that McG puts it on the ground to much, something that Moreno seems to have figured out not to do! Glad you are mack McG but I for one don’t want to see a change at this point in the Game! GO ORANGE CRUSH MAKE US A MILE HIGH BLACKBIRD PIE!
This is more like it.

I never read those comments – RH. Too many folks needing to be spanked!
I usually don’t cause everyone on there needs to be smacked in the head.
Unfortunately the Pats will roll through the playoffs. Just too dominate and improved in every facit of the game. Well coached and HOF QB like one we have never seen.
Treat to watch.
I am glad for Willis, he fought hard all year and helped put the team where we are now. Watching N.M. has been fun too. I believe we will be playing the Brady Bunch, no matter who rushes/leaps for us.
Man he is a sight for sore eyes right about now. Please don’t get me wrong, Knowshon is doing great however we need both of them for the AFC Championship Game… Prayers for a speedy recovery Willis.
The biggest part of this story is not McGahee returning to practice (which, dont get me wrong, is huge) but the fact that Clady and even more importantly Kuper are returning to practice. We can go all the way without McGahee (although It’d be great to have him in the stable) but we will NOT win it all without the Kupe and Clade. I hope they are both ready for this Sunday or it may not matter if McGahee is ready or not…
I think the second Super Bowl win was for Pat. This one one will definitely be for Champ! Do you think he will go into the “Hall” as a bronco?
