All I can say is… THANK GOD we finally got an official word on all this and that these 2 guys will meet next week to talk. Its better late than never. I’ll try so hard from going completely nuts that this hasn’t happened before now plus none of us know the intensity of all this. Its obvious, of course, as to why they will talk and should but I just hope Cutler isn’t mad enough to ask to be traded. That will sicken me… now here I go. But its so nice to hear from an official spokesman for the team that they have no intentions to trade him… I hope that’s mutual on the other side, that he has no desire to leave Denver. We need you #6!!

And Adam and Gray, you guys are doing a fantastic job with all the updates… thank you so much for all your hard work.

    With faith…
GO BRONCOS in ’09 with Cutler!!!!!

This is good news. any truth we give up our 2nd rd pick for shaun rodgers?

  6. Adam Zinser says:

Thanks for the compliments — always very much appreciated!

    Torain ATV fan -

I haven’t heard anything about this. As is the case with any and all transactions, the Broncos brass keep things pretty close to the chest. As of now, anything with Shaun Rogers would be speculation.

This is the way to go.

Beware of the media and use DenverBroncos.com to keep fans advised of what is going on.

Presumably you also have a secure site through which you can keep all the players informed. In that way Coach McDaniels and Jay Cutler could already have had a private cyber conversation.

Thanks adam, hey adam i keep getting something about my comment is flagged to talk 2 Blog admin, would that be you. help me out cant blog much

  9. Torain ATV fan says:

Another ? Adam, dont know if you are allowed to answer this. Where you worried about the trade talks?

  10. Torain ATV fan says:

are the broncos worried that brandon marshall might get suspended?

  11. Adam Zinser says:

    Torain ATV fan –

Let me look into that. I would assume it’s our automatic filter that for some reason is sending you that message, but I’ll check it out. I can’t say I’ve ever seen an inappropriate comment from you, so it shouldn’t be difficult to fix.

As for your questions, I can’t answer them. Not because I’m not allowed, but I just can’t. With all different sources reporting different things, it would be inappropriate for me to speculate. All I know is that the Broncos have emphatically stated that Jay Cutler will not be traded.

As for Marshall, anything would again be speculation.

any truth to the scheffler bein on the trade block? this would be horrible he does such a good job for us

  13. kase78matt says:

this is why i wanted a D minded HC he would have been like ok heres a new star FB and were done. not lets peel apart this team till i get it designed around my old team. i could have lived with every1 on the D gone and replaced. i love doom, champ, barrett, dj and i like peterson but there all people if we traded id be more satisfied than marshall, jay, clady, harris, scheff, royal, stoke, hillis, and casey. i think n e 1 who would cut champ wouldnt be a good coach tho lol

  14. 15themarshall15 says:

nobody is untradeable genious wow run the broncos into the ground. thats what trading jay does. big mistake should of kissed his ass mcdaniels wait till he holds out now

  15. LAbroncfan says:

Sounds like discussions did not go that well. Jay deserves to be upset because it sounds like he feels the organization is not being straight with him. Honesty is necessary to build trust and confidence in a new coach. I’m not too impressed with McDaniels thus far – with some of the new signings and the apparent interest in Cassel, it seems as though he needs a New England security blanket. I am not excited about the Broncos becoming the Patriots’ “B Team”! Hopefully just a rough start for a rookie coach…we’ll see. Build the team around our franchise quarterback.

I am a life time Broncos fan and I have a very low opinion for new head coach Josh McDaniels, who has made a huge mistake in less than a month after being hired as head coach for Denver. Already he has managed to try and trade away the best QB that the Broncos have had since John Elway. While trying to trade Cultler, he tells the media that he isnt trying to trade him, which would anger any QB that just went to the pro bowl and had a great season last year that was hampered by massive amounts of injury to the running game. Now Cutler is demanding a trade, which will bring the value of what can be acquired by trading him down to a minimum. Additionally, Pat Bowlen has made two giant mistakes this offseason. One, was firing Mike Shanahan after the team took injury to every rb that was in the stable. How are injuries Mike Shanahan’s fault? Second, he goes for another offensive minded head coach with Josh McDaniels, which was the wrong move to begin with. This team needed a defensive minded head coach, preferably the NY giants defensive co-ordinator. As if the two mistakes wern’t enough, the first thing the new head coach does is to try and trade a pro bowl QB Jay Cutler for an unknown QB Matt Cassel, who had one good year with a world championship cast around him. I have been a Bronco fan for 31 years and my opinion of this organization is at an all time low. This situation is similar to something that Al Davis would try and pull off. Maybe Bowlen needs to remove himself from this organization, if these are the decisions that the personel that he has hired is making.

Whatever or whoever is the Blame this is embarrassing for one of the best franchises in sports. Mr. Bowlen needs to put his foot down and remind both these front page clowns(Cutler and Josh) who is boss. Cutler is a spoiled brat, we all know that, but he is the QB of The Denver Broncos and he is pretty damn good! Mr. Josh McDaniels should as the Coach man up and start acting like a Coach. His immaturity is really starting to show. If Cutler leaves this team we better get used to being in the basement for the next 5 years. Our offense was great when it clicked so why destroy it when the defense was where the real problem was. Come on Josh figure it out!

  18. gramoose says:

Jay Cutler had a huge impact at Vanderbilt and has had a huge impact in Denver. Mr. Bowlen better get his new teenage head coach in line in a hurry. I’ve been a Bronco’s fan forever, highs and lows. This might be the all time low. Is there not some way to iron this out and move forward?!! Swallow some pride and get the job done?!! We need to keep Jay Cutler–period.
