With his 19 pass attempts in the first half, quarterback Peyton Manning passed John Elway to move into third place in NFL history for career pass attempts.
Manning started the game with 7,236 passes and now has 7,255 — five more than Elway.
The Broncos quarterback now trails only Brett Favre (10,169) and Dan Marino (8,358) on that list.
Manning finished the half 13-for-19 for 120 yards, three interceptions and a touchdown. All three interceptions came in the first quarter, and Manning seemed to find his groove in the second quarter completing 7-of-9 passes with a touchdown for a 138.4 quarterback rating.
