After the team’s 10th straight win on Sunday, Monday morning has brought with it another potential accolade. Quarterback Peyton Manning is one of three finalists for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week.
Manning completed 30-of-43 passes for 339 yards, three touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 106.6 in Denver’s 34-12 victory against the Cleveland Browns.
His touchdown passes were to wideout Demaryius Thomas on the first possession of the game, wideout Eric Decker in the second quarter and Decker again in the third.
It was the 72nd time Manning has thrown for at least three touchdowns, tying Brett Favre for the most in NFL history.
Manning’s 34 passing touchdowns on the year are the second-highest total of his 14-year career.
He has topped the 300-yard mark eight times in 2012 and was nominated for this award in Weeks 4, 6 and 8.

Fans can vote on NFL.com/FedEx through 1 p.m. MST on Friday to determine the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week. The winners will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
As part of the Air & Ground program and its commitment to small business owners, FedEx will support education efforts at Junior Achievement by making weekly $2,000 donations in each of the winning players’ names. The funding, allocated to local Junior Achievement area offices in that team’s city or state, is used to help U.S. small business development, by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.

@ShannonSharpe: I love how all the excuses get made for Tebow and why he chose not to run the wildcat. He quit on his tm and it’s as simple as that.
BT I love stats but I also take circumstances into consideration… But you ignore that. And Wilson’s stats are tainted by a win that shouldn’t be. Saying it for the third time! Pit an asterisks next to his season.
Vote vote vote!!!! Love you Peyton!
@ShannonSharpe: He jumped B.Quinn last yr in Denver and didn’t seem to have a prob with that.
Cat, are you saying that a blown call by a replacement Referree diminishes Wilson’s bid for ROY? Not quite sure how you work that into your equation and still can say you take ‘circumstances’ into consideration, seems like a significant circumstance
I know Carrol and the Seahawks are on your naughty list because he ‘runs up the score’ but that team with Wilson as their leader has 150 points in 3 games… that is unreal, and for that reason alone should be enough to at least cancel the mitigating factor of a bad ref call
Congrats Peyton… Good Luck
Gotta go with Cat on this one. If my vote counted it would be RG111, Luck and Wilson. Luck is close because of the way he has lead a very broken team into the playoffs, but RG111 is so exciting. As far as the Tebow thing, no other way of saying it but that he is a quitter. I will be interested in seeing if any team will take a chance on him now. His actions have been of a very spoiled child.imo
Fair Wolfe… I think the fact that RGIII has been knocked out of 2 games and missed a 3rd will hurt his chances, and the fact that Cousins came in and WSH didn’t miss a beat will also be taken into consideration.
I’m not saying there is a right or wrong answer, all just oppinions. All three are tremendous young QB’s for sure
Wilson didn’t even PLAY half of a game this season. Just because they’d run the score up so much they could pull him. He didnt sit out due to injury. Even Peyton has played all but like 5 minutes this year. RGIII got a concussion so he missed a game? and messed up his knee so he missed a game?
I know Luck has thrown a ton of interceptions, but he has also thrown it almost twice as much as the other two and he has quite a few running touchdowns himself. Just because you’re willing to let the Green Bay game go doesn’t mean everybody else agrees with you.
@ShannonSharpe: What would happen at your job,if you got passed over for promotion and decided not to do your job that week?
If RGIII wins it over Luck I’m ok with that, but I’m not okay with Wilson winning over either. In the 58 point win he threw the ball 13 times for less than 200 yards.
Once again, fair weather friends who turn on a player based on rumor and innuendo. Rex Ryan and Tim Tebow both say that he did not quit on the team, he was “de-selected” by the coach. Anyone who watched TT knows he is not a quitter. You should also realize he is a fierce competitor. He gets more mileage out of a limited skill set than any player I know due to his competitive fire. I don’t blame him for being very disappointed about the results of this year. He is on a poor team with a dysfunctional leadership team and has had no real opportunity to alleviate the losing.
Yes, it was a good choice by Elway to trade him and give him a chance to play elsewhere. I for one believe that TT has handled everything with an incredible optimism and grace. Including this latest round of attacks based upon speculation and rumor.
As far as rookie of the year on Offense; I am stuck. RG3 is the most dynamic playmaker so far, Andrew Luck just keeps on winning and on a depleted team, and Russel Wilson has leadership leaking out his ears on the most complete team being led by a Rookie. Can we award it to more than one player?
Personally, I am more inclined to give it to the one with the best record compared to the year before which would give it to Luck.
