After the team’s 10th straight win on Sunday, Monday morning has brought with it another potential accolade. Quarterback Peyton Manning is one of three finalists for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week.
Manning completed 30-of-43 passes for 339 yards, three touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 106.6 in Denver’s 34-12 victory against the Cleveland Browns.
It was the 72nd time Manning has thrown for at least three touchdowns, tying Brett Favre for the most in NFL history.
Manning’s 34 passing touchdowns on the year are the second-highest total of his 14-year career.
He has topped the 300-yard mark eight times in 2012 and was nominated for this award in Weeks 4, 6 and 8.

Fans can vote on NFL.com/FedEx through 1 p.m. MST on Friday to determine the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week. The winners will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
As part of the Air & Ground program and its commitment to small business owners, FedEx will support education efforts at Junior Achievement by making weekly $2,000 donations in each of the winning players’ names. The funding, allocated to local Junior Achievement area offices in that team’s city or state, is used to help U.S. small business development, by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.
