I like Mays the person and he plays with heart for sure, the talent just isn't there. Given his history, maybe he can still be coached. I know he works hard and he makes a more than capable backup but at this time he is not a starter and he was out played by Brooking. Don’t get me wrong. Has anyone noticed we have been getting killed in the middle of the field by TE's and that didn't happen last week? What changed? Oh yeah, the MLB was different. Mays can't cover and Brooking did a great job getting the right play called. Sure he is a little older and a little slower. However, he doesn't bight as hard on playfakes and he covers better. No one can cover Gronk but I like Brooking trying better than I like Mays trying. One man's opinion I guess.
