Saw some of you chatting about them in the comments, so figured I’d link to the rankings on ESPN.com. They’ve got them laid out in a pretty easy to read format.
Don’t know about you, but I think you can easily argue that some of the numbers are a tad low. Excited to play the game anyway. Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Some of these rankings are absurd.
How is Champ Bailey the worst-tackling defensive back on the entire team?
How is Peyton Hillis faster than Brandon Stokley and Jabar Gaffney?
Kyle Orton’s arm strength? Seriously?
These ratings fail IMO.
Agreed getlynched47. Epic Fail. Further, I think the Madden ’10 Ranking for Ryan Harris is abysmal. The guy was dominant last year.

I second all that has been said. i mean I know Bmarsh aint the fastest in the game but speed 88 is disrespectful. Not to mention Royal, moreno and are you kidding me A. Smith is a fast ass CB “OHH EM GEEE” lol
The only reason I understand this is because Madden itself said they were doing somehting different this year with the rankings. like instead of a improvement scale of 1-5, now its 1-10
champ bailey tackle is low but understandable. Best tackling CB but mostly cuz he is a pro at wrapping those legs up. still believe it shouldnt be lowest on team as well.

Thanks for the post Gray! Like I said the other day…. the Madden Rankings are a joke! J. Arrington’s Kick Return is 75?! What, he does better on the special teams end so that should be higher!
R. Clady pass block is only 86?! Our whole O line should’ve gotten better pass block ratings. Especially with as much as we threw the ball last year. Broncos can’t even get any love on a video game!!

Amen to that meisner! I like sports but I don’t love it enough to play Madden, play fantasy football, and watch all of the games like some people do. My prayers goes out to those who do all of that! Hahaha
who decided on these rankings? Did they not watch us play last year?
I know the EA team must have been high when they did the ratings.

Yes we got screwed like we do every year but MADDEN IS DOING SOMETHING NEW WITH THE RATINGS THIS YEAR. superstars remain superstars but everyone else is pretty much different. That doesn’t mean they will be completely sucky. New prez all about change, new broncos coach for change, and a change in the way madden has been done since the begining of time, seems like 09′s theme really is change.

Once the season starts expect the player ratings to go up along with the teams’ overall rating. As RoyalBeast said Madden went for a more realistic ratings this season example receivers wont be as fast off the line so you wont be able to throw it to a TE for a quick first down on the sideline.

I love champ but Im pretty sure that eddie royal is the fastest guy on the team and to have the the entire o line not to have one guy rated above a 90 is crazy talk, Denver has one of the be o lines in the league

Dont they adjust the rankings a few weeks into the season?
We did get the shaft on a few guys. Champ’s tackling? Ryan Harris? They did tweak the ratings though, so a player who was an 80 is now like a 70. And they toned down everybodies speed as well, except for the elite speedsters like Hester and C. Johnson. They’ll get it right when they update the rantings around week 5. See you online.
After the Broncos make a mockery out of what every analyst is saying, watch in 2011 all the players stats get boosted in Madden ’11
Wow, they got Hillis as the best RB on the team! I know he’s an awesome beast, and I love that they rated him that high, but faster than all of the other RB’s and most of the WR’s? Kind of screwy…
Yea it is, but they had to make him the best RB. Moreno is prolly better but only HIllis has played on the pro level and played well. I think moreno is faster but at least they gave moreno great acceleration and agility. Especially by this new madden rating standards. Which makes sense because he has a great burst through the hole but his top speed isnt all that.

This rating are prob to high. This year team is going to make last year chiefs/raiders look good.
