Man if we would have had lynch in over lowry we would have had turner stopped before the goal line. I can not stand watchin him get ran over or missing tackles i cant wait for Marlin to get back

Great career on and off the field. The Commissioner should hire you as an example for the young players coming into the League. Pure CLASS!
Thanks for continuing the Bronco excellence at Safety. I respect you as much as Atwater and Thompson and will cheer your induction into the Hall of Fame in five years. You should be very proud of yourself. Your combination of itelligence, toughness, and effort is rare and special.

wassup everyone im new on this site but my opinion on the broncos has been strong for a long time that they are every year one of the best coached team in the NFL. But on Lynch i wished he would of could of got over his eagle and accept his role on our team would of really used him on 3rd and short and also help developing Josh Barret they have almost the same body type both 6’2 and about 220. But oh well thanx for the years hu had here GO BRONCOS

Thank you John for all you’ve done for the Denver broncos, Harding hitting and a great leader like Rod smith. I wish the best for you and hope you change your mind about you retiring and come back like Favre. A great player like you with so much football talent should keep playing.

BroncoXXX#24 ….Rod Smith never quit on his teamates like John. I wish him the best but will not put him in the same class as our Rod. Rod always put the Broncos first before his ego. Just my opinion….West Coast

    John,

I was a safety in high school and college. As soon as I found out who you were and how you played the game, I became a huge fan.

Much to my suprise, you became a BRONCO! How happy it made me to weekly watch my favorite player level opposing players.

You were GREAT. As a player, you were among the best to ever play your position. The fearless way you played the game was inspiring. You placed a fear into any player who became your target. As a leader, your teammates and coaches looked to you to manage the team. And as a role model, I couldn’t of asked for a better guy to look up to.

    Thank you!

    Jack

John had a great career, no doubt about it. I wish the guy came back to give an extra spark to our injured defense. Thanks for those great 4 years you gave us. I still remember last season on christman eve where he knocked Tomlinson to the ground and threw LT’s helmet. That was my favorite xmas present right there. Wish you well buddy!

In my time as a fan, I have cried over 4 players’ departures. Elway’s, Davis’, Rod’s, and now John Lynch’s.
    John-
You were the definition of a safety. You were the end and without a doubt I know I could count on you to be there, and make a hit. You were always, without a doubt, punishing anybody who crossed into your territory.
Yet dispise your toughness and grit, you were one of the classiest players. You never talked trash, you were fine with letting your play speak for you. If only more were like you. You were a leader both on and off the field. You were(are) an iron man, and one of the last. Although you were only here a short while, it has felt like an eternity. And I know when you do go into the Hall of Fame, you will go as a Buc. Thats ok. We have been beyond blessed to get the chance to see you play for the orange and blue.
In the end, there is only one thing left to say: Thank you for the memories, John. You will never be forgotten by this Bronco fan.
    Have a happy retirement.

For goodness sake West Coast – you sure know how to spoil an already sour moment for this organization. Lynch is NO where near having a big ego and he did NOT quit on this team. I hated seeing him leave as much as the next person around here but he did NOT quit. I can’t believe you would even say that. John Lynch had and still has more CLASS than you will ever know. If you listen to his press conference (which is heart-breaking but was good to hear his voice) you would get a clue as to how humble and how much of a TRUE CLASS ACT he was and is. How dare you come on here, make this moment even worse and call out Lynch like that. By your comment alone, you’re absolutely oblivious as to how humbling and classy Lynch is. You’re entitled to your opinion but DO NOT come on here and call out someone like Lynch. Completely unnecessary.

John Lynch – there are no words in any language that would do you the justice you deserve. However, I can say you gave 4 incredible years to this team and I thank you. It was an honor to watch you play for this team. It was an honor to see someone so humbling don the Orange & Blue. You gave so much to this team – your leadership has been forever engraved in this organization, your respect on and off the field and the humanity you displayed for the younger players. You never had a bad thing to say about anyone ever.

And I’m proud that you’ve chosen to retire as a Bronco as well as a Buc. I will miss seeing you play for this team, seeing you represent the one and only Broncos at the Pro Bowl, seeing you be a leader of high respect on this team and I will most definitely miss seeing tha #47 jersey out on the field. I will never forget you and the 4 years you gave to this team.

And I too cried over Elway, Davis, Smith and now Lynch’s retirement. 4 great men gave it their all on this team and to this organization. We couldn’t have asked for 4 better leaders to grace the Mile High City with their magic touch. Thank you John for choosing Denve when you did and thank you for the memories. Hope you spend alot of your time with your family and I also hope to see you commentate some of the games. I can’t wait to see you in the Hall of Fame. 5 years seems like an eternity but it will be so worth the wait to see you get in. If any Safety in the NFL deserved to be a Hall of Famer, its you.

And seriously,#47 should be retired and put in the Ring of Fame. I honestly don’t want to see anyone else wear that number that comes through Denver. He is as irreplacable as Elway.

    God Bless you, John Lynch!!
    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
