Watch the press conference live here.
4:40 p.m. MST: So, sitting in the team meeting room for the press conference announcing Josh McDaniels as the new Denver Broncos Head Coach, it seems like it might even be a little bit more of a circus than the last time the media was gathered here.
The room is pretty crowded, and there are media members here that even our acclaimed media relations intern Brad Gee doesn’t recognize. That shows the wide-spread interest in the event.
4:49 p.m. MST: I count about 25 video cameras and about a dozen still photographers. Almost every seat is full in the meeting room, and Broncos staff members are lining the walls — so far it’s mostly the PR staff.
We’re about 10 minutes away from the conference.
4:55 p.m. MST: Head Athletic Trainer Steve Antonopulos and Strength and Conditioning Coach Rich Tuten have arrived, and Vice President of Football Operations/Player Personnel Jim Goodman and Assistant General Managers Jeff Goodman and Brian Xanders are in the room as well.
The room is growing silent as the press conference should begin shortly — the crowd is still growing as more Broncos staff members make their way into the meeting room.
5:00 p.m. MST: Vice President of Public Relations Jim Saccomano is addressing the crowd — he says President and CEO Pat Bowlen will address the crowd first, followed by new Head Coach Josh McDaniels.
The owner and coach have just walked into the room.
5:01 p.m. MST: “I’m ecstatic, I’m excited, I’m ready to introduce the new coach of the Denver Broncos, Josh McDaniels,” Bowlen says and gives McDaniels a handshake.
“I’m excited and looking forward very much to the opportunity to lead this team,” McDaniels says.
5:04 p.m. MST: McDaniels thanks a number of people, including Bill Belichick, who he says provided his foundation in the National Football League.
“This is an opportunity that doesn’t come along very often. I know I’m coming into a place where winning is the most important thing. That’s been very clear to me during this process.”
“I want this team to be tough, smart and prepared to play well under pressure. The evaluation process of how to get this team to that point is going to start today and it’s going to be ongoing. Everybody here in this organization is going to be held accountable to do their job — their piece of the puzzle to make this team a competitor for a championship every season.”
5:05 p.m. MST: McDaniels is now taking questions.
“My age has never been a factor, and it never will be a factor. It’s about performance…It’s about doing your job to the best of your ability and that’s what I’m going to do.”
“When the job came open, certainly it was something I had to look at very seriously — it’s a great place with a great history and a great tradition. The culture is about winning — you don’t have to create it.”
5:06 p.m. MST: “This is definitely a dream come true to have an opportunity to lead this team and this organization is something I couldn’t imagine would come up, but once it did it was certainly something I had to jump at.”
5:07 p.m. MST: “Not making the playoffs allowed me to get into this process right away as soon as the season ended. I’ve spent a lot of time and preparation over the last year getting myself more ready to go in case this opportunity did present itself … I feel the timing is right.”
McDaniels says he has not spoken with Jay Cutler, but he will shortly. “There’s a lot of people I would like to reach out to shortly — players, coaches here on the staff.”
On if he has thought about assistant coaches: “There are some people that I’ve spoken with — the process today and tomorrow will start picking up.”
5:10 p.m. MST: McDaniels is asked about working under Nick Saban, Bill Belichick and Charlie Weiss, and how his style differs from theirs: “I hope I’ve taken all the good things from them. The way I coach and the way I try to lead is by being more prepared than everybody else. Trying to do that on a daily basis. Because I think that’s what players respond to.”
On if he’s a tough coach like those three: “At times. When it has to happen, of course. I don’t think you do it unnecessarily, but I like to believe I’m a teacher. I believe that I can communicate — that’s a very important word for me. When you need to get your hands dirty in this game, you’ve got to be willing to do it, and I thinnk the players respond to that.”
5:12 p.m. MST: On achieving his dream and growing up in Canton, Ohio: “It’s been a long road with a lot of great influences for me. When that conversation took place, I was very eager to accept that. Growing up in Canton is a very important part of my life. Football is next to nothing. The people in Canton love this game. They cherish the weekend that they really get to shine in August. I’ve been going to two-a-days since I was five years old. I know it sounds silly since I’m 32, but for 27 years I’ve been going to practices in August until now.”
5:14 p.m. MST: On how he will shore up the defense: “I’ve coached offense in the past, but I’m a football coach that has been built to understand defense. That’s where I learned my foundation. Defense is important to how we will attack people offensively. So as much as I can say I’m proud ot have worked with the offense the past four or five years, I’m a football coach and I want the opportunity to affect the kicking game, the offense and the defense — all phases of the game…There are areas where this team can improve offensively, defensively and in the kicking game…We’re going to evaluate the people, we’re going to evaluate the scheme and we’re going to evaluate the coaches.”
“As somebody who has played against this team quite a few times in the past few years, the scheme has changed here a few times. We want to bring some consistency to that and make sure that we try to improve whatever that system and that scheme is from day one.”
5:15 p.m. MST: McDaniels says that he will be the play-caller on offense.
5:16 p.m. MST: On if he is a little more approachable with the fans and media than Belichick and Saban: “I try to focus on all the positive things that those people have given me the opportunity to see. But I think you’ll certainly see me bring a little bit of a different vibe. I’m going to have a lot of energy. I can smile. I think there are some things that people will like and get used to, but I think the personality of the coach comes through over time. You’ll get an opportunity to see how I differ from them — it’s hard to describe that right here.”
5:19 p.m. MST: On his father, growing up in a football family: “He’s very proud. I’m sure he’s very, very proud today. My father, I’ve had the most opportunity to witness him, because I started very young. I’ve had more years around him obviously than any of those other coaches I’ve mentioned…I think the one thing about my father that I know that I do take every day into this job is his passion. There’s nothing about this game that’s unimportant to him, and I would say that’s true about myself. That’s how I’ll approach this job every day, and I think everyone will see that show through.”
5:22 p.m. MST: On evaluating players in house: “I think that’s the first place that you want to start — evaluate what you have here.”
“I haven’t had the opportunity to sit at my desk yet, but I’ll be looking forward to that.”
On the team: “This is a team that won eight games, and I think any time you win eight games and fall short of your goals and your expectations, there’s a lot that needs to be improved.”
On if he will retain any of last season’s assistant coaches: “I don’t know most of them. I have a relationship with one or two of them, cordially, but I haven’t had the opportunity to work with them…I think that’s a decision that will be made over the next couple days.”
On Jay Cutler: “Jay’s very talented. I’ve had the opportunity to watch him a number of times on film and once in person this year. He’s got a lot of ability. He’s a very intelligent person, very intelligent player, does a lot of things well, and I think Jay’s going to enjoy playing in this system, this offense. It’s very quarterback friendly once you get accustomed to using all the tools…I can’t wait to get started working with him.”
5:25 p.m. MST: McDaniels says he’s looking forward to joining an organization that’s very similar to the one he left — it’s all about winning.
On if his age is helpful: “I’ve coached older players, I’ve coached younger players — I don’t think age is a factor. What they care about is what I’m saying, and if it’s going to help them win. That’s the most important thing to me and it’s the most important thing to the players.”
5:27 p.m. MST: On what he thought when he saw the Broncos on the schedule as an opponent: “A hard team to beat…every time you see their name on the schedule, you know it’s going to be a 60-minute game, they’re going to be well-prepared, they’ve got good players and it’s going to be a dogfight. I’m excited to be on the other side of that now.”
On facing the Patriots in the 2009 season: “That will be great,” he says with a sheepish smile. “I don’t think any coach is afraid to go coach against a team he was a part of for a long time. That will be exciting for me…It’s not about that, I just think they’re a competitive team and we’ll look forward to the challenge.”
McDaniels says the process of building a staff has begun already, and he would hope that it would be sooner rather than later, but it will take however long it takes to build a successful staff. He says he has not talked with Dom Capers yet, not that he wouldn’t, and he has talked to Mike Nolan, though nothing is official.
5:30 p.m. MST: On the offensive talent on the Broncos: “The list goes on and on — they’ve got a lot of talent. I think the biggest thing is to get the players to understand the system that we’re going to utilize this year, and to have a great spring. That’s the goal here, to accomplish a lot between spring camps and training camp. That’s the most exciting thing to me.”
5:32 p.m. MST: McDaniels talks about working closely with personnel in New England and coaching both offense and defense.
“The thing that I’m most excited about is that I can affect more than just the offense.”
5:33 p.m. MST: On what weaknesses he saw on the Broncos when he was studying film on the other side this season: “Certain games it’s going to be about the scheme, certain games maybe you can pick on a player. I’m not going to stand up here and say what our plan was, but we had success there and I’m glad we did then, but now I hope to reverse that trend.”
On if he will wear a hoodie on the sideline: (Laughs) “Absolutely. As a matter of fact, I can’t wait to see my hoodie.”
5:34 p.m. MST: McDaniels is at the podium with his wife posing for a few pictures as the press conference comes to a close.
DenverBroncos.com will have more coverage coming later this evening.

Who are the top people to come in as the off.cor. and the lines coach and the rest of them
Big moment for this team’s direction for years to come!
Thanks for the updates!
It will be very interesting to see how all of this unfolds. Don’t know much about McDaniels, hopefully he can turn things around. I sure hope the 1st thing he does is FIRE Bob Slowik the “D” coordinator. He fo sure needs to go!!! WELCOME TO BRONCOS COUNTRY JOSH!!!!
I concur with bmarsh15. Some of the questions the media has asked him are ridiculous. I guess that’s what they are paid for: to ask stupid questions. Wow! He was just hired, you think they would have more insightful and inquisitive questions.
5:15 p.m. MST: McDaniels says that he will be the play-caller on offense.
i’m sure Cutler will be happy…note the sarcasim
We’ll lets see
GO BRONCOS!!!!
he better not wear the hoodie the same way Bill Belichick does
did anyone notice that he basically said that jeremy bates wont be back
Man some of you kill me, Dan Reeves? What a joke. He is young but full of fire and that is what this team needs, a fire lite under their butts. You can say I am crazy but I was impressed with him. New coach, new direction, just what the doctor ordered. I have been a fan since I was seven, 1972.
peter g if you have been a fan since 76 then your too old to be talking as oblivious as you are. maybe you dont know who called the plays for 16 n 0 season? be quiet about our coach. (is that better dont delete it)
So pretty much he said He’s gonna throw away our offensive system that was so succsesful and build a new one. Great. Also with they way he was talking about how different schemes need different personnel I think the 3-4 is in our future.
I see some long years ahead
yes broncosgo he is very impressive give him more time and he will be even more impressive. the guy can coach that is for sure
I honestly do not know what were getting in this guy, we’ll find out soon with the coaching changes he’ll make and the draft.
First thing to do is clean house on defense.
Peterg, be positive. This team has a lot of talent. So calm down. You are just spoiled, be a true fan, and back up the team and show your support no matter what.
But other than that, i think McDaniels will be an awesome coach. I cant wait to see what he is going to do. I think it will be great.
As a HUGE Bronco-fan, I seriously have to wonder about this hire. I would much have rather have seen Spagnuolo, Morris, hired before Mcdaniel…Why did they not go with some one who’s been there since 1995, if you are going to hire one w/no head-coaching experience. Personally, I believe Coach Shanny was prematurely let go (by a year). I just hope our D improves b/c I don’t see how we could be worse than last year. Anyways, I REALLY hope this works out for us and doesn’t come back to bite us. GO BRONCS!!
He looked nervous which is fine, his sucess in Denver will depend on two major factors. As long as he inserts some heart into those ladies on defense and allows Cutler to grow and become the great quarterback hes capable of being, he will be fine.
peterg, McDaniels has 3 Super Bowl rings, how many does Reeves have?
This team is talented on the Offensive side of the ball. Lots of things have changed since 1976, this is a pass happy league and you will continue to see the rules continue to change to accommodate the NFL’s desire for points, points, and more points.
With the Offensive talent we have in place, and McDaniels offensive system we could be the Best Offense of the next decade.
I originally wanted Spagnuolo but am more than pleased with the hire of McDaniels.
Go Broncos!
After hearing coach JOSH speak,I feel a little better about are chances. For some reason I was thinking maybe Pat would bring Shanny Back. You hate to lose a great play caller like that. It is what It is !!!! Camp has officially been shook up!!!! Wer’e going to da SUPER BOWL !!! We should be playing this Sunday but just couldn’t grasp the opportunities. If JOSH can get the D turned around We will be sitting pretty!!! P.S. no cameras on da sideline!!! LOL!!!! for the most part welcome to the BRONCOS !!! LET’S GET IT DONE !!!!!
it would be great if down the line if we could hear the folks asking questions.. Many answers were sure.. and then some more response but it would really be nice to get the questions audible..
Interesting press conference… he said alot of things that he’s got to live up to now. Be interesting to see what he does at the draft… better be all defense – we don’t need anymore people on offense, we’re covered there, they just need to learn to play as an offense instead of these “one-man-shows’. My biggest concern is his future coach-QB relationship he’ll have with Cutler, will it be strong like what Shanny & Elway had or will it just be cold shoulder. I doubt it will be the latter, but Jay needs to have at least some control in what he does… everybody already puts the entire teams’ actions/decisions/wins/losses on his shoulders the least McDaniels can do is give him some control. Let Cutler do his job. Like McD just said in his PC… everyone will have to do their part… I hope he gives that same right to Cutler. Cutler is a leader… let him lead.
And I hope what he said is true… that he’ll be a well-rounded football coach. Someone who knows a little bit of everything and can do it just as well as another part of the game. For instance, I hope he’s just as good of a coach on offense as he is defense… that those 2 things are both well-balanced.
All my faith is still in this team and that will NEVER die. This guy just better know what he’s doing… I hope he can handle the HC job. He’s not just in charge of one part of the team, he’s got the whole team now resting on his shoulders and resting in the palm of his hand.
And yes, peterg… if I can be positive about all this even though I’m still in much disagreement with Bowlen’s decision… you can be positive about it too. This guy deserves a chance… a fair chance. This is in no way easy for me to accept but he deserves a chance and we just might get a chance at a SB with this guy.
With faith…
GO BRONCOS in ’09!!!!
He better understand what winning means in Denver and that hes expected to win right away, Shanahan was let go cause he didnt get to the playoffs in the past three years.
Dre Bly, Nate Webster, Niko whatever your name is, Manuel, McCree, Boss, Robertson, Engleberger, Moss and Crowder should be getting ready to leave Denver and go back and play Pop Warner football where they belong.
This team above anything needs be tough and play with heart and learn how to play for 60 min, if he gets them to do so, then the Broncos will get back to the top of NFL where we belong.
This is for PETERG !!!! You have to be a BRONCOS fan longer than 76 to know that this team is loaded with talent.2nd best QB and probably the best wide out in BRONCOS history.Watch more than 1 game a year before you try to evaluate BRONCO history. This team is a couple of players away and a DEFENSIVE scheme away from holding it down for a long time !!!
RE: Hearing the Questions Reporters are Asking
I wish there was a way we could do it. We are in a huge auditorium with reporters spread throughout. Add that to the fact that the majority of them don’t want their questions miked, and it makes it very difficult. I was sitting in the room and I had a hard time hearing the questions myself. We are working on ways to improve it and hopefully we can come up with a solution.
If you have any ideas, please shoot them our way. Broncos.Website@broncos.nfl.net
– Kyle
well i have no concerns about our offense talent wise. i just hope coach mcdaniels and cutler hit it off. any one else remember what happened with elway and reeves?? would hate to see that happen! i feel like this is a positive step for our organization. my main concern is for the defense! i have a feeling that slowik will be gone. hopefully coach will bring in a good D coordinator! here’s to the new face of the broncos. cant wait for the season to start… just 7 more months! welcome to the family coach!
go broncos
yeah because 11 wins with a qb out of high school is easy to do. The guy knows how to maximize talent, even if he did get tight in the super bowl and not adapt his game plan, a few screens and the pass rush would have been broken, but he will learn, because with bellicheck if you dont your gone
If he calls the plays, what will our extremely talented QB’s coach do? will jeremy bates just leave, him and rick dennison?
i will miss dennison and zone blocking, but hes gone, bates will depend if the two can work together, but mcdainels is going to want the brightest guys in the room, if he thinks bates is that hell keep him, but look at what mcdainels did with the past moss/marshall welker/royal, a better line with the broncos, better third receiver in stoakley and tight ends with better hands in graham (who he knows) and scheffler, the points are going to go on the board like monopoly money, if he can keep cutler from throwing the bad pick, which shanny couldnt (i love shanny but he was to afraid to kill the gunslinger in cutler, he wanted wins now, not for the future) like farve with holmgren, gunslingers are only great with coaches that hold them back till the time is right, but it all depends on the defense and how they draft
I liked what I heard from Coach Mac. I wish him the very best. Part of being a good Head Coach is surrounding yourself with the talent you can work with to form a well oiled machine. I honestly think he is headed that way and the Broncos will kick some butts in 2009!
So what he’s young, so what he’s a offensive coach, so what he’s never been a head coach before! Everyone needs a chance and a start somewhere. Just bc he’s a offensive coach doesn’t mean that he lacks knowledge in the other areas! All it means is offense is his specialty!
Some of yall just kill me with some of the nonsense! Let’s not forget that Shanny was a OFFENSIVE genius but no one said they felt he lacked in other aspects of the game! Just like Coach Mac knows what he has on the offensive side, I really believe that he knows what we lack and need on the defensive side with special teams to be fixed @ a later time.
We aren’t the first and won’t be the last team in any sport to give someone a chance who has never been a head coach before. I guess some of yall would respect the man more if he was 52, 62, or even 72 years old huh!?
This was a great choice. Good Luck Coach Mc D. Look for Mike Nolan to become the D-coordinator. Jeremy Bates will stay. Rick Dennison may go to SF. I expect to see many players (some may be suprising) get traded or cut. …..with the 12th pick of the draft the Denver Broncos select…..Taylor Mays from USC. Go Broncos!!!!
CARAMELLOO:
Yes. Everyone stars somewhere. But I’m not about to jump in a stock car and try to win the Daytona 500. Start at the bottom. Not at the top. This is one of the best organizations in football history. Only Dallas has more Super Bowl appearences.
He hasn’t been a head coach ANYWHERE. Most NFL coaches were HC in HS or College before joining the NFL. Micky D hasn’t been a HC anywhere. In fact, He wasn’t even a coordinator anywhere. Nor a positions coach. He was an intern in college before coming to the NFL. Like I sais earlier. You don’t give the keys for a Lamborghini to a 15 year old with a permit. He needs to get real experience in the HS and College ranks before he trys to coach the Pros.
At first I was confused by the hire. But if you listen to Coach McDaniels he is trained in all facets of the game. He seems and looks like he knows what he is doing! Plus with the hire of Mike Nolan the defense can only get better. We need to clean house on the def. Starting with Niko K, Webster, McCree, Maunel, Robertson, Boss Bailey what a waste of money he is tight light to play linebacker. As to what de system we use I think you need to have winborn williams and woodyard start next year at linbacker with dumberville as a outside linebacker in the new 3-4 system. To everybody who thinks Mcdaniels was a bad hire come broncos fans give him a chance he hasn’t even coach a game and your complaining.
I am just not educated enough to know if this will be good or bad. It seems like we needed a coaching change – not for the x’s and o’s, but to the heart of the team.
Is this young guy the solution? I guess we’ll see. I like his background, I wish the Belicheck-ites weren’t so bad historically, but he says the right things, and has coached some very successful teams.
Here are my questions:
1. One of the things I found most exciting about our offense was the variety. We had 100′s of alignments and packages. Will McDaniel bring that or are we going back to a standard look offense?
2. The defense sucks. Does this guy think it’s a talent problem (like most of us do) or does he think it’s scheme? I guess I really think it’s both, but man have we drafted and signed poorly on the defensive side of the ball.
3. How do veterans, drafted by Shanny and Co. respond to a new coach who may not have thought highly of them in the draft? I know Shanahan respected seniority, even though every position was always up for competition. How will McD handle that dynamic?
4. In the lame ass business classes I’ve taken, they’ve all stressed the impotance of team building. We call the Broncos a team because we view them as a whole, but in forming a team there were supposed to be 4 phases. (Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing)
Can a coach come in, grab a team by the reins, and steer them through all of those phases, preparing them to PERFORM!!
Like I said before, I don’t think Shanny lost his ability to coach. I think he lost the heart of the team – at least on the defensive side of the ball. It’ll be up to the new kid to get that done.
Taylor Mays would be AWESOME!!!!
I’m stuck in the Chicago airport and only have this blog to go by, but other than the multitude of stupid questions (give the guy a chance to get to his desk before asking him all those questions, press corps!), it sounds like he handled himself well.
He’s going to be nervous – heck, there’s NO way I’d be able to handle a pro team’s offense or defense at 39, let alone the WHOLE team at 32 – but I think he’s going to do a great job. I’d love to see him keep Bates and hire either Capers (not likely) or Nolan (more likely), and bring in his friend Sean McDermott to help with the DBs. He’s obviously very good with getting the most out of his QBs, and that should be great news to Jay – even if he has to lose his security blanket in Bates.
Like 07elway, I’m going to back this team regardless of the situation, and enjoy her commentary and faith in OUR Broncos. Here’s to a fantastic 2009 and beyond with Coach Mac!
GO BRONCOS!!
A new era started today for the Denver Broncos. The young talented players have to grow up fast with their new coach. If Nolan is hired, the defense will be better next year coupled with major changes in personel. Jay Cutler needs to get to work with his new coach and get comfortable with whats coming. The Denver Broncos need to win now and not later. The move to let go of Shanahan was the Broncos had become mediocre, something we havent been in a long time and never during the Pat Bowlen era. Anything less than a divison championship next year is unacceptable, and coach better not make any excuses cause I for one was fed with excuses and dilusional remarks made by the coaches and players that everything was fine and that they were a good football team. Bill Parcells says it best, were as good as record says we are and that my friends was 24-24 in the past three years which in the my book and everybody else that cares about the Denver Broncos is mediocre.
Yea, our D is not that far from being elite…we will need a new Safety, new DT’s, a new D End too to compliment Elvis…LB’s are fine…Bly is overpaid & needs to go…(i don’t know y we didn’t just keep Foxworth and trade Bly)…Although he did lead the team with a whopping 2 INT’s, he’s not THAT great….Boss needs to get out like torian4 says…don’t know y he was brought here in the 1st place….I do like our TE’s tho…Schleffler and Graham compliment each other real well….oh & BTW, I am gonna HATE to see Coach Dennison go, what w/all the loyalty he’s shown us,(as a player AND a coach) and this is how we repay him?
i still say we need a beast at middle linebacker!!
Yea at Middle LB we need to draft that guy out of USC…or some1 else, idk….there is some1 out there we can get
McDaniels has the eye of the tiger!! Listening to him, I was getting fired up and he wasn’t even talking about a game yet. I like what he said about the organization. “Everyone will be held accountable for their piece of the puzzle”. That is how leaders speak. I think he may add a little spark that this young team needs. I will miss Shannahan, but since he’ s gone, I like what I see. I don’t think nerves was an issue as some of you have said. McDaniels looked confident. I am however a little concerned about the hiring of Nolan, From San Francisco? Anyway, new days in Denver lie ahead. Let’s see what the kid has got, give him a chance. Go Broncos.
also keep in mind how many college head coaches have come to the nfl and been busts!!! spurrier… is first to mind.
Lets just hope he can help us beat the chargers cuase they kik our a** every year and its gettin old!
All Bronco fans have to be excited about this offseason to see what player and coaching personell he adds, all this is going to do is lite a fire under the players and coaches and especially the fans. i know im EXCITED! GO BRONCOS!
Broncomania56: I agree with what you said about Josh Mc but remember Mike Nolan was the D-coord for the ravens 2001-2004. I think he has the right pedigree to bring back the orange crush. He was a LB coach for us from 87-92 (UGHHEM Karl Mecklenburg). I seem to remember our D was pretty good then.
peterg: I lived in Jax for 5 years and I forgot how ignorant the people there are. It seems you have fallen into that trap. Move away from there soon.
Welcome Coach Mac thats your new nickname. You will Do Just fine.
ALL U NEGATIVE LOSERS Need to stop posting. If you are true fan then support the coach and support your team. WE werent there for the interviews. Have faith in our decision makers. Josh will be just fine. He will get Nolan as DC and Capers as AHC( assistant head Coach) that gives us two great defensive minds and if McDermouth comes that is even better. He will address the problem, the kid is very bright he is going to be the next great coach.
OUR offensive personnel and Coach Mac’s System = 35+ per game easy.
we should be able to score more now not just put up alot of yards.
you people forget that the patriots still ran the ball alot in that system, its not just a passing attack, its predominantly a passing attack and when necessary coach mac showed that he could game plan the run as well.
some say he could only do it with a HOF QB then your crazy and dont know football becuz he did it this season with Cassel who never started a USC, so the kid has skills just give him credit and give him your support.
STOP HATING ON OUR NEW COACH.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coach just make sure we beat the chargers twice next year along with the Raiders and the Chiefs ( in arrowhead)
We Need a new every down RB and NEW Defensive Players, You already know that so lets make it HAPPEN!!!!!!!!
I hope we get to Keep Anthony Alridge I think he will be our Darren Sproles and he should excel in coach mac’s system.
Josh talks the same way as Bill Belichick, after each sentence; Josh makes this smacking sound the exact same way that Belichick does, just listen it is so funny!
Hey everybody if you haven’t heard yet, there are some serious defensive players who are UFA this year. Julius Peppers for one. The list is long. Copy and paste this into your browser and prepare to drool.
http://www.footballsfuture.com/freeagents.html
bigvon you tell em dude. Can’t stand those haters.
peterg – he’s our coach NOW!!! He deserves a chance NOW!!! As hard as it is for me to admit this its true and its done, its over he’s NOW our head coach. I hate this so much – to let Shanny go and honestly I never will – but I’m gonna give up on this team because of this. I’ve stuck with this team even at the worst of it – for me that was when Elway retired, my heart died then only because I knew this team would never be the same simply b/c of Elway. But this is the NOW… we have a new HC and its done. You can stay in your little world of “only then” thinking but if you’re a true fan you’ll give this guy a fair shot at coach of this team NOW.
I agree, he doesn’t have that much experience but how much of that did Shanny have when he was first hired. This is how you get experience, kills me to say that too but he’s got to get experience somehow and honestly, what better way to do that than with our Broncos!? If he can step up to the plate and not miss… it will still be bitter-sweet for me but I want only better things for this team. We could get that with McD. Give the guy a chance. He just got the opportunity of a lifetime to be HC for our organization with an incredible history… give him a chance to make something of it.
With faith…
GO BRONCOS in ’09!!!!
correction:
I’ve NOT going to give up on this team because of this.
Sorry for the double post.
