When Champ Bailey was forced to miss the last two games due to injury, Cassius Vaughn was ready to step in.
In those two games, Vaughn, who joined the Broncos as a college free agent last season, made 11 tackles and is now tied for the team lead with two pass breakups.
Bailey took notice of the second-year player’s improvement.
“The only way you really get better is by playing,” Bailey said after practice on Thursday. “Cassius, he’s always telling me how much more comfortable he is now that he’s getting a lot of snaps. That’s what experience does for you, it makes you feel more comfortable out there. I know the more he plays, the better he’ll be.”
Despite not being able to join Vaughn on the field for the past two games, Bailey has tried to help the younger player out on the sideline during games.
“We talk all the time,” Bailey said. “He asks me a lot of questions and I try to give him as much knowledge as I can. He’s a young player and he’s growing into his own, but he definitely needs some guidance in some areas, just because this is the NFL and if you don’t have a lot of experience at it, it’s going to be tough for you.”

pssssh, You tell em champ. only way to really get better is to play. Vaughn wont learn enough from sitting and watching. Just like another guy … u guessed it tebow.
Man…thought we had it bad in injuries … packers list is way longer but they still winning. And alot of heavy hitters are on dat list. If they can’t go. Maybe we have a chance …. maybe … and maybe clay matthews solves our QQ lmao … j/k … wont wish injury on any NFL player … not unless fantasy football is on da line …. lmao … j/k again … or am I?

GEEZ I thought this was going to say that Tebow will finally be learning by doing LOL. Should have known better. They won’t even show pictures of him anymore. What do they think that we will forget? NOT!!!!
TRB: Don’t you think we should play against there best players. It should show everyone how good we are or how bad we are, either way it’ll show everyone what we need to do to get better. I agree with you on Tebow playing to get better. He has to play to get the experience. Hopefully Fox, Xanders & Elway will read both of our blogs. I don’t think they will read our blogs because they don’t want to see how much smarter we are than they are.
You know what they say, Defense wins championships…..oh wait, I forgot we still had Orton.
Packers 23 – Broncos 7
That was the score in our S/B win last
night, so it sounds about right …
TRB, I thought the exact same thing when I saw the line, “The only way you really get better is by playing,” Bailey said
You beat me to it bro..haha. How can TT ever get better by standing on the sideline and watching a lesser tallented person play the position..?
I’ve said that before and it’s good to hear a professional confirm the notion of letting a player learn from the bench is bunk.
rodgers sitting and learning behind farve is WAY different than tebow learning behind kyle !heaven forbid any orton rub off on tebow!!!!fox just dont say the right things to get fans happy or excited that being said lets go CREAM SOME CHEESE !GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s funny, Jason Campbell is doing awesome things for the Raiders and it’s almost like Pryor doesn’t even exist to their fans. However Raiders have a hell of a running game. So it’s easy to make him look good. Now go to Denver…our running game is garbage and because of that, Orton has to keep throwing to keep drives alive. Let’s just face it, he’s not mobile enough or accurate enough under pressure to take the Broncos where we want to go. So put in Brady Quinn and you’ll quickly see the same results. Next man up is Tebow. Ok he will make mistakes cuz he is young, but he can run the ball, which could open up our running game, making the defense commit more to our run, which would spark our passing game so long as Tebow’s arm can deliver…
LLoyd sporting the camo,he needs to be camouflaged, maybe it will help him get open this week!!!
Oh yeah Orton sucks!!!
Play Tebow.
Play Tebow so we know what we have. We already know what we have in Orton, nothing.
Packers 31
Broncos 17
Play Weber I think he is the best QB. How can he get better if he does not play. Trade Tebow and get another draft pick or two to build through the draft. Maybe we could get a 4th and a 7th for that 1st round pick. Go Broncos!
LOL Im with you Broncoterry, I think weber is a very good QB. Then our problem would be QQQQ LMAO funny stuff, but he is good.
I can’t understand how some of you guys picking the Broncos to score more than 7 points against a very good defense. I think maybe 3 points as long as Orton is in at QB. Maybe 14 points if they install Tebow or Weber at QB.
9137, one blogger has us scoring 31, another 29 and 4 have 27, I understand what you mean, makes you wonder how they see the game, the Packers stopped a good running team like the Bears to single digit yards like 7 I think, and Orton is the worse of the QBs their D has faced so far, it’s just the usual orange kool aid for some fans however the one to three point Bronco win in a low scoring game would make much for sense if one was to pick us to win…
