Kuper to IR; Harris Signed

January 2nd, 2012 - 4:29pm by Gray Caldwell

On Monday, the Broncos placed guard Chris Kuper on injured reserve, as the team captain broke his leg in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In his roster spot, the team signed a familiar face — offensive lineman Ryan Harris, who played in 46 games for the Broncos from 2007 to 2010.

The fifth-year player earned All-Pro honors from Sports Illustrated (Peter King) in 2008.

He started 10 games for the Broncos last season, but hasn’t played in 2011 after suffering an injury during training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition, the Broncos signed defensive tackle Jeremy Jarmon, defensive end Cyril Obiozor and cornerback Ramzee Robinson to future contracts.

Damn glad to see Harris come back home, hopefully he stays!!!

  3. Cdudbronc24 says:

So are we just moving Harris over to right guard? Or are we moving Franklin?

  4. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Great Rose Bowl!!!!

    Wisconsin 28
    Oregon 28…at the half.

  5. baylinorcrush says:

And they are already signing players to future contracts.

  6. BeastFromEast92 says:

Who knows,I’m just glad to have Harris back,we need depth,Harris is still young, and never should have been released in the first place, imo.

  7. baylinorcrush says:

Rose Bowl is great, then it’s the Fiesta Bowl, that’s going to be nuts, picking Oklahoma State in that one.

  8. BeastFromEast92 says:

I have no clue why we sign Jarmon and Robinson right now?

  9. Cdudbronc24 says:

he wasnt released he went to play for the philly dream team. and i think franklin would be better at guard then harris

  10. risky305 says:

Bay I think OSU would give LSU a run for their money…I like Luck for 3 picks

  11. BeastFromEast92 says:

If Stanford don’t play great on Defense OS will blow’em out,I for one think it will be a high scoring game, been waiting for it all day!

  12. baylinorcrush says:

I remember BFE, big Harris fan you were, but he was zone blocking and moved on. Lots of injuries though, just a necessary fill in for Kuper obviously.

  13. baylinorcrush says:

Problem with Standford is real poor D and watch out against the Cowboys, plus that’s where my stepson graduated….

  14. BeastFromEast92 says:

Depth man depth,Harris is a lot better at pass blocking than Franklin, but Franklin is a better run blocker.Harris will give us depth on the Oline!

  15. risky305 says:

Tha Jarmon trade for Gaffney looks horrible

  16. BeastFromEast92 says:

If I was a gambling man,I’d have to put my money on Oklahoma State!

  17. BeastFromEast92 says:

Wished we had Gaffney back, can’t believe I said that, lol.

  18. baylinorcrush says:

Gaffney and Lloyd were two excellent receivers… but that’s all water under the bridge, looking back though it wasn’t very smart moves at all.

  19. BeastFromEast92 says:

Trading LLoyd for a 5th round pick was horrible too,but he wanted out!

  20. baylinorcrush says:

So what, we’d have him going into the playoffs, Tebow could throw just about anything to him knowing spiderman would catch it, and what has our 5th round pick done for us anyway?

  21. baylinorcrush says:

It was a horrible trade orchestrated by Xanders simply to satisfy Lloyd because both Lloyd and his agent got along real well with Xanders. Don’t get me started about that guy, I’m just starting to have a good time again, haha.

  22. BeastFromEast92 says:

Fischer to meet with Dolphins and Rams this weekend.
    I like Jeff Fischer,he’s a Helluva HC!

  23. baylinorcrush says:

Answer to what has our 5th round draft pick done for us:

    Nothing

    We didn’t have one. haha.

Thomas was 4th and Irving 6th.

I’d take Lloyd for one year over help like that any day. Lloyd was flat out amazing while here.

  24. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, you Tennessee boys stick together.

  25. BeastFromEast92 says:

LMAO…..you are an Oilers/Titans fan too bro!

  26. baylinorcrush says:

I know, you may get wasted but you have a pretty darn good memory, oh yeah, Earl Campbell the trunks for legs, Billy white shoes Johnson, Pastorini, that was a lot of fun to watch!

  27. baylinorcrush says:

And Carter was a 4th too, big deal, I really miss Lloyd.

That 5th round pick next year better be our best pick ever!

  28. BeastFromEast92 says:

Spiderman could help Tebow up his completions at least to 50%,lol.

  29. BeastFromEast92 says:

    6/22=28%

  30. BeastFromEast92 says:

Damn Oregon scored in 49 seconds,so fast I missed it.

  31. baylinorcrush says:

BFE, what’s the deal with the bloggers who always go three blogs back to post their opinions?

I tell you what it is.

    They’re scared of you, LMAO!

Feels Odd to be talking about a Playoff game… that the Broncos are in…
THANKS TO TIM TEBOW!!!! ;o) lol… and the rest of the Bronco’s of course, the rest of the team that was 1-4 without said Tebow…

(I can’t get enough of this blog today… like an episode of the Twilight Zone)

8-8 vs 12-4 sounds bad… Hmmmm 7-9 vs 11-5 (and Defending Champs) Looks pretty Hopeless… But the Seahawks won…. ?!?

Seattle did it… Denver has a shot… a shot is all you can really ask for after a 1-4 start… 1 and 4…. Playoffs?

    Thank you DENVER!!!

  33. Bronco_Turtle says:

    ***OFFICIAL SCORE PREDICTION***

What up BFE! and BAY, and all the rest…

    Happy Playoff WEEK!!!

  35. Bronco_Turtle says:

Bay, my favorite part of watching Earl Campbell was the tear away jersey’s!!! Classic!

  36. broncos504 says:

I want ball out of Wisconsin the runny back

  37. baylinorcrush says:

My favorite part was the legs, as in the thighs, as big as my waist, and my waist ain’t small, haha.

  38. Bronco_Turtle says:

Did I say Playoffs? this blog reads more like an obituary today than a Bronco Fan Page… IT’S THE PLAYOFFS PEOPLE…

At least pretend you are excited… :o )

  39. Bronco_Turtle says:

    Bay, classic football question…

strictly oppinion, but I only get to watch film of these two guys… who was better… Larry Csonka or Earl Campbell?

  40. BeastFromEast92 says:

    LMAO@Bay

  41. baylinorcrush says:

The only problem I see is we are the only team in the playoffs everyone wishes they could face, LOL, so Any Given Sunday is the best I got for this one. I’ll let you do the whole reasoning why Tebow could do the Steelers in against their #1 D, I know you can do it, LOL.

  42. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Earl Campbell in my book!

  43. thecladybunch says:

they probably have 5 other things going on at once, meaning its not a priority like some others. The Texas Rose was awesome tho

  44. BeastFromEast92 says:

James Harrison will have a field day!

  45. baylinorcrush says:

Well everybody would tell you Czonka because of the undefeated season, but Campbell was at least twice the fun to watch.

  46. thecladybunch says:

I’d want to play the Texans also, crawling into playoffs.

  47. Bronco_Turtle says:

Get a little Lucky or an Act of God may be needed… Tebow may have to call in a Special Favor from the Big Guy upstairs…

:o ) lol… I’m a fan, not a magician!!! But we are in… and as bad as we were I’m happy as a Pig in Slop!!!

  48. baylinorcrush says:

I don’t buy that, they just don’t want to argue their points which I completely understand, it can be brutal here as we all know. Post and get out, that the safest way out, LOL.

  49. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Agree with that bro!

  50. baylinorcrush says:

Pig in slop, only a rancher/farmer would say that, I like it!
