Kuper to IR; Harris Signed

January 2nd, 2012 - 4:29pm by Gray Caldwell

On Monday, the Broncos placed guard Chris Kuper on injured reserve, as the team captain broke his leg in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In his roster spot, the team signed a familiar face — offensive lineman Ryan Harris, who played in 46 games for the Broncos from 2007 to 2010.

The fifth-year player earned All-Pro honors from Sports Illustrated (Peter King) in 2008.

He started 10 games for the Broncos last season, but hasn’t played in 2011 after suffering an injury during training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition, the Broncos signed defensive tackle Jeremy Jarmon, defensive end Cyril Obiozor and cornerback Ramzee Robinson to future contracts.

Csonka and Campbell both were BEASTS as far as I can tell watching film…

I guess a better question would be.. ‘If you were a defensive back, which man would you LEAST like to Tackle… Larry Csonka or Earl Campbell?’

Turtle, I hear ya, its an accomplishment to win your division in the NFL. They should be proud of what they accomplished this year

Come to think of it, our Broncos have been kind of looking like pigs in slop over the last few games, LMAO!

You’ll have to excuse me, I’m finishing my Golden Monkey!

Turtle – Bay is secretly overwhelmed and elated to be in the playoffs. I think he has been on the blog all day long. He never does that!!! LOL

And I would rather have Moreno come at me.

  7. thecladybunch says:

Hope Kuper heals well, frustrating to see him go down. I actually thought he had an outside chance of making the Pro Bowl

Turtle – it looks like you, me and Shaz are going to have to keep the universe supplied with Orange Koolaid, and the Tebow train warmed up and ready to roll!!! C’mon now….I know there are others!!! LOL

It could be good news that SD hasnt fired Norv yet, does this mean they might actually keep him and AJ after all? That would be music to my ears.

Just finished reading Jeff Darlingtons piece on NFL.com. I want to share the end of it-

After Sunday’s game, once the Broncos had found out their fate from six televisions mounted in every corner of the locker room that displayed the Chargers’ win against the Raiders, I asked running back Willis McGahee how far this team can go.

“I don’t know,” he said. “We’re unpredictable, baby. That’s the good thing about it. Nobody knows what we’re going to do gameplan-wise.

We’re going to keep people on their toes.”

To do so, to keep the Steelers on their toes, it’s going to take more than a few nice runs from McGahee. It will take more than a sack or two from linebacker Von Miller . It’ll take more than defensive stands and field goals.

It’s going to require more of the same fourth-quarter success that Tebow showed during his seven-win stint. Yes, Tebow’s surreal comebacks — all five of them — might have seemed as improbable as the next. But that’s how the Broncos have gotten to this point, and it’s the only way they’ll get to the next point.

There’s a reason in Denver, when the game begins to wind down despite a brutal day of football on offense, that none of the fans dare to leave their seats. They stay until the end because Tebow has taught them this season that it’s never over.

It’s not over now, either. But if the Broncos are going to have any chance next week, he can’t afford another fourth quarter like he had Sunday. It’s called Tebow Time for a reason — and it’s now time for Tebow to once again show us why.

Lots of teams wait until Tuesday to do house cleaning.

I don’t count those guys – they are a different brand. They don’t seem to be having fun!!!

  15. baylinorcrush says:

Tebow time has been a dud, unfortunately.

It’s like waiting for a cab that never comes, you are left out in the cold with nowhere to go.

    I like the Harris signing

I’m still bitter about the ’05 AFC Title game. Broncos owe the Steelers a buttwhipping! I just wanna see these guys playing like they did before they ran into their late season wall! Never say never, giving themselves a chance to win every game and not shooting themselves in the foot. Stumbled into the playoffs…still hate you San Diego, but thanx for the assist!

  18. FLBroncoGator says:

Yeah Bay, the cab never drove you to the playoffs huh? I’m having plenty of fun dad13. I just get sick to death of all the idiots that do nothing but parrot the talking heads about how badly Tebow sucks. I’m not even gonna get started on the talking heads but I’ve been here since day one saying the same thing. Now we’re in the playoffs. Also, the day we traded Lloyd, I asked, “who’s Tebow supposed to throw to?” We have NOBODY with hands or speed. Lloyd was afraid Tebow wouldn’t get him the ball which is funny because he’d be getting every pass if he were still with us. Again, our problem isn’t Tebow. Our problem is Fox/McCoy. What boggles my mind is that people talk about Tebow barely throwing 50% even when he puts the W on the board yet they seem to totally overlook the fact that Fox is 50% over 22 YEARS! It’s comical at best.

  20. HandofDOOM says:

Hey guys, I hope it can last a couple more weeks, but regardless of what happens on Sunday, I can’t remember a year of football where it has been so FUN to be a BRONCOS fan. This year has been a blast and I hope the guys know we appreciate them. That being said, you have nothing to lose or fear on Sunday, go pop them in the mouth.

  21. GeorgeinABQ says:

Welcome back RYAN HARRIS! He used to dominate with Ryan Clady a few years back. Don’t know why he went to Philly, but glad he’s back! Now, Denver, KEEP HIM! He’s a pro bowl caliber player who gave his heart to Denver!

  22. GeorgeinABQ says:

HandofDoom is straight up right! Don’t you be slinking around talking smack if we lose nor do we need any of you bandwagon jumpers take pride if we win! For all of us die hard Bronco fans, it’s been a year of celebration, laughing at the anal ysts who dog Tebow and the Broncos, and just nice recovering from McDanielism. At the beginning of the season, I just thought we’d be lucky to break even. Well, we broke even and we are going to the playoffs so it’s beyond my wildest dreams! Go BRONCOS! Kick some Steeler behind! Thanks Mr. Bowlen for coming to your senses, thanks #7, and thanks John Fox and coaches for getting us back into our expectations of Bronco success!

  23. GeorgeinABQ says:

Baylinocrush! You are one of the biggest Bronco fans. Don’t lose faith in TT. Let Elway work with him over the spring and summer and get in a full pratice season and OTA’s and you will see a new and improved TT.

  24. baylinorcrush says:

George, thanks for the kind encouraging words.
