When newly signed defensive tackle Terrance Knighton laces up his cleats for the first time in Denver, he’ll be playing with all new teammates in a brand new city.
One familiarity will be his coach, Defensive Coordinator Jack Del Rio.
Knighton played the first four years of his career with Jacksonville, the first three of which were led by Del Rio, who was the team’s head coach.
“Del Rio is a great guy to work with,” Knighton said. “He knows what type of player I am, what type of system and what type of style I’ll excel in. I’m just ready to get going and meet the guys and be around them.”
Knighton joined the Jaguars as a third-round draft choice in 2009 and started all 45 games he played with Del Rio as the club’s head coach.
That familiarity played a major factor into his decision to sign with the Broncos.
“It feels great,” Knighton said of playing for Del Rio again. “He’s a guy who obviously believed in me coming out of college. When I heard I had the opportunity to come to Denver, I was on the first plane smoking and met up with him. He’s excited, I’m excited and I’m just ready to get started.”

give doom the 7 and spread out a small part of what he is loosing.. make him happy and in a year or two try and sign him to a new long term lower yearly contract to make him a bronco for life.. All we need is a quality S, RB, and STARTING ILB.. Idc if they come from FA or Draft but it needs done

JT has been hurt the last two seasons, dealing with High Ankle Sprains… He’s young, and now that he’s done growing he should be able to stay healthy!
