I'd personally like to see Elvis get his money, he defiantly deserves it! I really hope jackson and Mcneil stick it out those 10 games, the chargers would be in some serious trouble without those two!!!

also, does anyone else think it would be cool to see us wear our 80's jerseys at a home game sometime?

Well said sndvl on the other aspects of defence. Pressures, hurry`s, knockdowns, and tipped balls whatever the situation, it all counts in the big picture. Now lets pay Doom real money. He deserve`s it.

nice info on Williams vs Dumervil baylin!

So TD was a 6th round pick. That didnt stop him from cashing in. DUE TO HIS PRODUCTION ON THE FIELD.
I think his tackle totals are a little misleading.
Due to his unique build, he has the uncanny ability to get to the QB.
I am curious to see what the numbers are on Dumervil if you keep track of Pressures and Knockdowns too. Forcing the QB to get rid of the ball before he wants to or causing him to be off balance or flinch, thats making plays as well. It also gives the second level a chance to make a play. Im sure if Dumervil was asked to focus on stopping the run, he would be just fine. But thats not his strength...just like TD's wasnt making tackles after an INT.

I don't see how in the world a holdout would count against a suspension, a suspension is meant to be a punishment, if it was served during a holdout it would hold no punishment value whatsoever. After the holdout ends, the suspension begins would be the only thing that would make sense, don't know the specific of the NFL rules regarding that, but I would be shocked if a suspension could take place during a holdout, just my opinion.

Hey Baylin I have a question for you, you probably know this. Fist off i love the mess AJ Smith is making with Vincent Jackson and McNeil in SD. But we all know Jackson is going to be suspended for his 2 DUI, does suspension count during his holdout, or would that suspension take place when he returns, just wondering. TY in advance for ur answer. That goes for anybody who knows the answer.

I hear you KFS, but if Bailey is bothered by it, it's worth it to me to be bothered too, just saying.

Unfortunately for elvis he was drafted in the 4th and not the 1st. thats the reason for him being underpayed the 1st 4 years. Hopefully the rooklie pay scale gets fixed for next year. Im sure theres 100s of example like the one you posted Baylin, ex: Chris Johnson (titans). Dont get me wrong I want Doom signed just as bad as anyone else, I just think as long as he is signed before TC starts it will all be fine, Doom doesn't seem to bothered, so why should I get bothered.

This is what Klis said of Dumervil back October 7 of last year:

With all the money NFL teams waste on scouting, perhaps some of it could be transferred to players like Elvis Dumervil. The No. 1 pick in the 2006 draft was defensive end Mario Williams. Houston gave him a six-year contract worth $54 million. To date, Williams has 32.5 sacks in 52 games. Way back in the fourth round of the same draft, with the No. 126 overall pick, Dumervil was selected. The Broncos gave Dumervil a four-year deal worth $2 million. He has 34 sacks in 49 games. Thus, Dumervil has nearly two more sacks in three fewer games for $52 million less than the pass rusher drafted 125 picks ahead of him.

Thus it is grand time to make things right by the man, not only to pay him for the next few years, but to reward him for the output he has already produced at a NFL cellar type salary. Nuff said.
