Colorado Rockies Team President Keli McGregor was found dead Tuesday morning. He was 48.
“Keli was a wonderful person and a highly respected professional whose loss will be felt throughout the entire Denver community,” Broncos Chief Operating Officer Joe Ellis said in a statement. “The Denver Broncos extend their deepest sympathies to Keli’s wife, Lori, their children and the entire Colorado Rockies organization.”
McGregor was selected by the Broncos in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 1985 NFL Draft and played for the club as a rookie. A two-time All-America tight end at Colorado State University, McGregor went on to play for the Indianapolis Colts at Seattle Seahawks in his NFL career.
He joined the Rockies in 1993 and had been with the team since its inception as an MLB expansion team. He became team president in 2001.
The Colorado Rockies released a statement, as well, including a quote from Chairman and CEO Charlie Monfort.
“Words cannot describe the level of shock and disbelief that we all are feeling this morning at the loss of Keli,” Monfort said. “Our thoughts, our prayers are with Lori and the entire family as we all try to cope and understand how such a tragic loss could occur with such a wonderful man.”

Its really sad. Only 48. Always sux when someone is taken before his time. In our day in age, 48 is just too premature. My condolences. Seems like he was a Colorado boy all round, whether it was in high school, broncos, or rockies.
Denver’s schedule is rated as the 24th easiest on NFL.com, with 32 being the most difficult.
*least difficult
I think we are going 9-7 this year
20is pick for trading down – Pouncey C
43 – Gerhart FB
45 – D. Thomas WR
80 – Williams OL
2nd 3rd pick for trading down in 1st round – Sergio Kindle LB
114 – D. Alexander WR
137 and 183 – best player available
What do u guys think of this mock draft?
McNabb wants the Redskins to sign T.O. and the Steelers picked up Leftwich. Think they are making moves to get rid of Big Ben?
moving down to get Pouncey is a big risk. I hope we stay at #11 and pick McClain. The 49ers have picks 13 and 17 and they need o-linemen (bad) and at 18 Steelers need o-line as well. I don’t think Pouncey will be there past #20. Some how we need to get seahawks 14th or the 49ers 17th if we are going to get Pouncey. so we will need to think of o-linemen with one of our two 2nd round picks. ASAMOAH would be ok (and TENNANT in the 3rd) the other should go to pick a WR. this is just the way I see things.
bay:
#11 McClain
#43 Golden Tate
#45 Asamoah
11: Rolando McClain
17: Maurkice Pouncey (package 43, 137, future 2nd)
45: Golden Tate or Demaryius Thomas
80: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah
114: Charles Scott
183: Marc Mariani
Yeah, I know it’s sketchy, but I think San Francisco may be willing to trade down; they aren’t in very good position in the 1st. If not them, maybe Seattle because they have two 1st rounders. It will never happen, but this is my ideal draft.
How do they figure how “easy” or how “difficult” a schedule is? Do they just base it on the teams record the previous season? I don’t care if we had the easiest schedule still wouldn’t mean diddly squat. We’ve got to play hard and play hard for 16 weeks, excluding the bye. Remember what happens when we start letting up?
Wow, only one Monday Nighter.
Todd McShay at ESPN now saying McClain moving up and being taken by Raiders at #8 pick. He has Broncos selecting Jimmy Clausen at #11. He has Steelers selecting Pouncey at #18.
It just occurred to me that if McD had traded Marshall to the Seahawks, we would be in perfect position to take Pouncey AND McClain.
Except the fact that the Seahawks were not willing to part with a first round pick.
