The Broncos took the practice field Friday as they continued preparations for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and a few key players watched from the sidelines.
Champ Bailey (hamstring), Elvis Dumervil (shoulder), Demaryius Thomas (finger), Marcus Thomas (shoulder/groin), Ty Warren (triceps), D.J. Williams (elbow) and Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) did not participate in Thursday’s practice.
Brandon Lloyd (groin) returned to practice but was limited.

Bailey, Dumervil, Lloyd and Moreno are all listed as questionable for the game Sunday while Demaryius Thomas, Marcus Thomas, Warren and Wililams have been declared out.
With Moreno’s status uncertain, running back Willis McGahee is preparing for the possibility to receive a larger workload in the running game.
Offensive Coordinator Mike McCoy said that he believes McGahee can handle 20 or more carries in the game, and the veteran agreed.
“It’s no big deal,” McGahee said. “I can run the ball. That’s something you don’t lose as a running back, and I work out every day like it’s my first day here. That’s how I approach it, and that’s how I’m going to continue to approach it.”
McGahee said the running scheme remains the same regardless if he, Moreno or Lance Ball line up behind the quarterback.
“The game plan doesn’t change,” McGahee said. “That’s the good thing about our running back room; we all do the same thing.”

All three running backs played in Monday’s game against Oakland, in which the Broncos netted just 38 rushing yards.
“It was very frustrating. We didn’t move the ball whatsoever,” McGahee said. “We’re taking it very personally. Nobody wants to be a part of that. I know these guys work extremely hard to improve that, and that’s one thing we’ve stressed in practice this week.”
McGahee hopes the running backs can redeem themselves this week and says he feels ready to play on Sunday.
“I’m good,” McGahee said. “There’s no pressure here. I had my rest, so it’s time to work.”

Looks like Woodyard is pointing Orton to the door!!!
Send in JJ after McGahee needs a breather.
Just like the old Puma cartoon we used to watch as kids, EXIT STAGE LEFT!
… he is telling Orton, *I will slap you from out here! Dig!*
Dear Offensive Line,
Please stop letting running plays get blown up in the backfield. Please create at least one running lane for a running back to go through. Furthermore, I know it’s wishful thinking, but please get to the second-level on your blocks, so we can start ripping off some big runs. Thank you.
Best regards,
Denver Broncos’ fans and running backs
“See this hand, see this hand? Wham, got you with the other one! Oh I didn’t need to hit you, you dropped the ball already, my bad!”
I`ma outta here, I`m Thinkin, EXIT STAGE LEFT!
LOL @ HH27!
This is kind of sad when we are being called “dysfunctional” as a team.
http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/sports/129949418.html
Hey Mustang,
that is a Pat’s tv market, of course they would post us as dysfunctional… Randy Moss, Albert the Fat, La MahoneyBaloney
Get realistic for a moment, if you were a fan of any other team in the country right now, how else would you view the QQ that our franchise has created, pretty much exactly like that guy from Connecticut did, only Bronco fans argue about it, all others agree we are completely dysfunctional as far as the QB position goes and that’s the numero uno position in football, so don’t get all surprised if no one outside of Denver gives this organization no respect at all about their handling of the QQ.
It has been shameful for me, simple as that.
Hey it’s 5:00 here time for a kick back relaxing,ICE COLD BEER!!!!!!!!!
HEY BRONCOS COUNTRY..THIS BUDS FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That may be east coast patriot country, but I for one partially agree with the sentiment about “a GM and Coach they don’t trust” which sounds like it’s referring to the fans. While I’m giving them a pass (partially) due to it being their 1st year here, not in the nfl, I am skeptical about where their direction is. Predraft it sounded like Tebow/Orton competition with the possibility of a trade for Orton, then post draft was talk of Tebow’s team, then prepreseason the Orton attempted trade it was Tebow’s chance, then open competition (what a joke) when the trade bombed and now it’s Ortons team? The player who gives us the best chance to win?
I say show me. If the Broncos are that transparent, show us the practice sessions. Let us see how the coach sees it.
I talked to folks who attended the preseason workouts and some admitted that Orton was better but not consistent. Others said Tebow showed why he should get a shot.
BFE, pass me a cold one dude?
For you guys who think EFX has done the best they can do with their handling of the QQ, you are not just drinking the Orange kool aid, you are swimming in it, and just happened to swallow the hook, line and sinker that they have presented to you.
And as every week passes on by it`s only going to get worse.
By the looks of it we`re going to be a Top 5 pick in the 2012 draft. Placed your bets.
Wrong key, place your bets.
Religion anyone? Next blog is up.
Well, at this point religion is probably a good way to go….
Hey wait a Damn minute,I went to get some Bud Light a while ago and they had some new Bud Light in an Orange can, they better not be trying to mix that Damn toxic Orange Kool-Ade with my Bud Light…somebody will get killed!!!
Hey strand, bay,I faxed you guys an ice cold Beer!!!haha
I am sure they don’t just sit there and dance all practice. But could someone please stop posting those pics for awhile? Kind of sending the wrong message.
