At least that's how it works in big business, no one moves without counsel from the legal team, and that move seems like a legal move to me, it should serve them well no matter where it's heading. The tie game was played at Green Bay on September 20, 1987 and Elway tied it up in regulation at 17-17 and it remained that way through OT. So Elway's record is actually kept by the NFL as 46-0-1.
