Thanks for the article Cat, and the laugh also.lol
It’s almost 12:00 EST……been drinkin since 4:00 EST!!!!!!!!
No problem, wolfe!!
Gotta love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was surprised to see Mays come out of the game with the first stringers. I figure JDR has already decided he like Mays and he’s here to stay.
Siliga was double and triple teamed all night. Amazing!
Wolfe flips first stringer (Simpson?) over on his back and carries him into the QB. I’m impressed!!!
Manning should have been far rustier than he appeared – he did good. I was a lot more concerned about the pass to the line-backer than the INT. Manning knew to make jokes about that one as well! No one seems to be taking into consideration the field conditions. That game started real sloppy.
Hanie – attempted two touch passes on his first downs right after being booed by the whole stadium. Those were the only bad decisions the whole night. Hanie is small and un-impressive but solid.
Os – needs to be preserved and kept off the field. Not based on his play but based on his potential. He has the physical attributes. Now he needs to learn to think as much, and in the same manner as Manning.
Weber – went to the wrong college. He’s a solid #2 anywhere in the NFL and could beat out Moore, Palmer, and a good number of other starters in the league. Either he is no good with the game book and reading defenses or some other cerebral part of football or I don’t get why the guy isn’t chasing his career.
Irving – Wow!!!
Oline depth impressed me – Oline was good! Much improved over last season. Our oline has always been able to get the push on the run plays and to open the holes. Except for normal preseason holding penalties, the oline had great pocket protection for all the QB’s. (Hanie flushed without real pressure – doesn’t really count.)
Yeah… Strand is leaving me hanging with all the anticipation. Lol
DB, I agree with every word you said. ;-O
Careful Cat – those accidents will get you banned! LOL Hahahahaha!
DB… What was your impression of Hill?
and hi!
I know! Stuart knows I didn’t do it on purpose! I hope
DB, you said it perfectly. I caught myself saying wow more than normal at some of the defense I saw. I agree with you about Weber as well. I thought he looked great last preseason, but even better now.
Timmy gets intercepted – good play by the linebacker.
Seems RR is working hard at staying off the camera and resurrecting the Jets Image.
I like how bad some folks who publically call for Tebow to be cut are looking after Tebow obviously out performs Sanchez.
Tim did a good job, DB. He was throwing well and accurately for the most part. Had a few drops. Nice runs. His first pass was fantastic.
I didn’t see Timmy do anything much different than usual. He still ran backwards twenty yard before throwing it out of bounds. I still think he would be a much better running back.
He overreacts in the pocket. Needs to stay put and try and pass instead of running for it every time. IMO
Who cares TT is a Jet!!!!!!!!!!
We are Broncos Country!!!!!!
Did strand go to bed? Or did I just miss his song?
Hey Turtle!
I got no opinion on any of the Backs, receivers, or TE’s – I think it’s a wash. I’m holding my emotions in reserve because it’s obvious some great players have to be cut. From what I see, Manning’s influence already has made significant improvement in the sophistication of our offense. (I give OC no credit whatsoever!) Everybody – even No-show – looks good.
This is PM Country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey DB……we are all here…..and PM WILL run his Offense,he is the OC……LOL.
Good to see you back on SEC, I missed your late night chats and I agree this is PFM country!!!
Hey guys and gals this is SEC,signing off……..be good 2 each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully we will talk again!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALL HAIL THE NECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fair! I like to pick a couple dudes to cheer for… I was really happy to see Irving lay wood last night, he will be solid I think and should start at Will
wolfedom….well appreciated bro……..you are a Bronco Bro of mine!!!!!!!
Agreed Turtle……….Irving at Will……Goodnight!
Have a good night B east! Glad your back
Night guys, got to go to bed. Strandsky I’m looking forward to the song tomorrow morning!
TT is still working with a collapsing pocket as he did with the Broncos. Sanchez can’t handle it – Timmy doesn’t know what a good pocket feels like.
Again with the good looking normal pass that hits the TE in the hands for a drop. Receivers get jitters too!
Wolfedom – all great QB’s know how to stretch a play – that was a 3rd down. Last year he would have turned and gone back another 20 yrds trying to get someone open. LOL Only 20 is an improvement!!! (Get the kid a break – he has indomitable optimism!)
Hey SEC !! Hang tough buddy!
I’m going to bed also!
Don’t forget to make a Prediction!!!
B-R-O-N-C-O-S BRONCOS BRONCOS BRONCOS!!!
It’s only 9:30PM- wassa matter??? LOL Good night to all of you!!!
DB, the only difference was last year he would have taken the sack. He didn’t show much on special teams either. I say running back for sure.
We are shipping cows for the next three weeks, which is a month early and means that by the time the Regular Seasons starts this year I will already be doing fall work like cutting trees and dirtwork… It will be nice!
Good to see you guys! Good night!
I teach five hours tomorrow. I should be gone as well. Take care Bronco Country!!!
Take Me Back to Mile High-And Solute:
Way back in the days of 1986, the south stands are a rockin, and we`re only down by 6.
It`s 2 minute warning, and John boys at the two. He`s got his back side in the end zone, and 98 yards to put in the final screws.
Just before the ref blows the whistle, a player yells (not this time Elway).
And because of that blow-hole jester, there`s gonna be a price to pay.
TAKE ME BACK TO MILE HIGH!!
AND WE WANT THE MILE HIGH SOLUTE!!
I see that rocket from Elways gun, soaring through the ORANGE-BLUE SKYS!!
It`s 1st n goal at the south`s 5 yard line, hand the rock to TD for A MILE HIGH SOLUTE!!
Now our fans are heading home, with that win, riding home on high.
TAKE ME BACK TO MILE HIGH!!
AND WE WANT THE MILE HIGH SOLUTE!!
Now John Elway went and retired, on a 2 SUPERBOWL WINS back to back, MILE HIGH NOTE!
After John boy announced his retirement, our Denver Broncos went through a death valley dry spell,
and couldn`t even get a single QB`s vote.
Greise to Jake the Snake, then onto cry-baby-oh-whah-whah Cutler.
Then to TITANIC, the south paw TEBOW, he had a little of MILE HIGH MAGIC of his own.
TAKE ME BACK TO MILE HIGH!!
AND WE WANT THE MILE HIGH SOLUTE!!
Go get him Mr. Elway, who`s now top dog, the DENVER BRONCOS boss.
He went and pulled some strings, to bring in PEYTON MANNING, who`s just been tossed.
Like the old saying goes (whats another mans trash, is another mans treasure).
Yes, we want PEYTON MANNING, through and through, lets get that gun-slinger for every measure.
I want another SUPERBOWL WIN, for Pat Bowlen lets WIN IT soon.
How about, some MILE HIGH MAGIC, for the BRONCOS FANS and THE MILE HIGH CREW!!
OH YES, we just pulled the trigger on MANNING, and John Elway is going down in history,
with nabbing the best free agent in the NFL, the Denver Broncos history.
TAKE ME BACK TO MILE HIGH!!
AND WE WANT THE MILE HIGH SOLUTE!!
TAKE ME BACK, TO THAT OLD MILE HIGH MAGIC, OF OLD!!
TAKE ME BACK TO MILE HIGH!!
SOLUTE!!!!
STRANDOFTDS AUGUST 10, 2011
See ya tomorrow Cat. She`s ready and polished. Much better and more professionally written. LOL
FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK- WE SOLUTE YOU!!!
One.. Salute.. is spelled this way .. Two… that sucked. Jake the snake and Cutler were way better qb’s then we deserved and we threw them away like morons. On a side note.. Von Dumer WOlfe defense this year. Quote that. Repeat it.. make it a houshold name cause they all gonna be soon. Our D has got soo much potential and All world Jim L. holds down the back lines. Lovin it.
I like Jake and Tebow, the others can go jump in a lake.
Light up dude, it`s just for fun. Get over yourself, you arrogant flake.
Wow. Great game .True to my name I bet all I had on the Broncos (being a coward I took the three points). Great to see Wolfe and Oz play really well but nice surprise with Nate Irving and how about Xavier Omon? He has to make the team. Next Saturday I want to see PM score a couple of TD’s.The way things are we will be cutting players that will play for others. Go Broncos!!
Jake the Snake was boss, Cutler had a rocket arm but too much attitude (him and B Marshall had great talent but were bad teammates) You can’t hate Tebow, hell I’m Agnostic and I think he’s a good dude. I like what I saw in that preseason game though, it went really well for both sides of the ball, I just hope it continues to grow and PM gets more comfortable with more live game reps. I’m so stoked for football now that our Broncos are looking like contenders again, man did it take a while from those glorious Elway days. The Broncos look much more solid at every position than they have in a long time!! Pumped for Miller and Dumervil (thank you for not being guilty)…
I never did like Jake. He was an above average QB but from the beginning I never thought he could take us to the promised land. On the other hand – Jake was Orange and Blue – through and through – he played his heart out for us.
Cutler? He needed Lovie to help him grow up. Nobody in Denver had what Lovie has been able to give Jay. (He still has a woman and a child and millions of bucks, and he remains fearful of basic responsibilities. Glad he’s in Chicago!)
HandOD – what gives? It doesn’t suck – rather, most of us can hardly wait to hear it produced. (Barring any hold up as contract negotiations are settled with FTR productions!!!)
I agree – Doom, thank you for not being guilty!!! (You can punch all the QB’s in the helmet you can afford to pay the fines for – go ahead, you have permission – but if you decide to do so…make it COUNT!!!)JK!!! LOL!
On TT special teams play
- the bungles put a man on Tebow to wrap him up. They were scared!!! (I just can figure out what they were scared of – the highlights of Tebow’s first tackle???)
Truth is that Tebow looked like he belonged. He looks like he is running faster this season though obviously bigger. Can’t wait to see what it looks like when the Jets are desperate to make something happen and that snap ends up in Tebow’s hands. It’s gonna look like a high school playbook but I’ll bet it works!
Did you see the pass to the cheerleader – hit her in the knee!!! LOL Just pickin’ on Tebow cuz I can – what was that boy looking at???
can’t figure = typo disfunctionality
My typos aren’t near as interesting as Cat’s. She has true Freudian slips!!! LOL
Pretty ironic that Vontaze Burfict picked off Tebow last night..
I know it’s early, with only two drafts under their belt and not enough time yet to fully evaluate all selections, but I get the feeling that our new hierarchy has a great eye for talent. This has been a MAJOR area of concern for me in recent years, seeing draft pick after draft draft mishandled.. It’s great to see our organization value the draft again, and I hope this is the beginning of a strong draft tradition for years and years to come!
*draft pick after draft pick mishandled
Ok, first and foremost, thank you strand for working so hard to polish up that awesome song and I’m sure that Kod can’t wait to tackle it… He already has an idea, Waiting o. FTR’s approval first. Haters drool.
Second, I love Jay Cutler.
DB, Tebows first pass was nice the rest I wouldn’t write home about! But he will figure it out.
And I know that I am awful when it comes to typos… I blame it on my iPad and the fact that I type like a crazy person.
DJ not at practice. What does that mean?
1st things first- what was IT thinking when they redesigned the live game blog… Basically eliminating access from mobile devices.
And even the regular blog format. When comments surpass 300, the page doesn’t load and causes Safari to crash.
I do like the app though. It’s nice to load up videos/audio/news from my home screen.
I suppose its the trade off.
2nd. That was a dominating performance by our defense from top to bottom. Especially the 1st half. Holding them to 41 total yards. A hit in the helmet away from a safety and slick turf that prevented Von from taking the fumble to the house.
More than anything, I was extremely excited to see that fundamental tackling is a focal point on our defense. THANK YOU DEL RIO. All three levels were showcasing it. 26 even made me pause, rewind and replay. Twice!
The offense. PM. Admited to some butterflies. Showed some rust. Which is good. (For the longest time I thought that guy was part cyborg). He got into a rhythm though and should have had the TD to DMT. Haha. I guess I’ll have to get used to not every offensive drive will lead to TD’s. What I can get used to- 3rd down conversions.
O-line was good. And it appears we have depth at RB/WR/TE.
It is going to make the decisions on the coaching staff difficult at cut time.
I know it’s only preseason, I should temper my excitement. But that was a great way to kick off a season!
Broncos Country Strong 2012!
