Von Miller recorded his sixth consecutive game with a sack to mark the longest such streak by a Denver rookie since LB Mike Croel had a sack in six straight contests in 1991. Miller, who became just the 10th rookie in NFL history to record six sacks in his team’s first six games, leads all NFL rookies in quarterback takedowns this season.

Quarterback Tim Tebow, who wears No. 15, helped lead the Broncos to a historic come-from-behind victory at Miami. Denver became the first team since the 1970 NFL merger to win a game when trailing by 15 or more points with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.
25
Against the Dolphins, safety Brian Dawkins recorded his 24th and 25th career sacks to tie for the third-most sacks by a defensive back since the statistic was tracked beginning in 1982. Sunday marked his second career multi-sack game, with the first one being on Nov. 9, 2000 vs. Arizona.
48.3
Punter Britton Colquitt turned in the third-highest gross average in Broncos history with a minimum of nine punts in a game. It is the highest average in team history away from the Mile High City. His 41.4 net punting average marked the highest for a single game in team history (min. 9 punts).
52
Matt Prater’s 52-yard game-winning field goal tied for the third-longest overtime field goal in NFL history. The kick was Prater’s second overtime game-winner, with his previous one coming in 2009 against the Patriots.
183
The Broncos’ 183 rushing yards marked the most by the team since Dec. 6, 2009, at Kansas City. Running back Willis McGahee paced the team with 76 yards, followed by Tebow’s 65. Moreno added 28 and Ball posted 14.
358
When tight end Virgil Green came up with the onside kick in the fourth quarter at Miami, it was the first time in Head Coach John Fox’s 358 games as an NFL coach that his team recovered an onside kick.

Well I predicted a 20-17 Dolphin win.
I was wrong.
Did not root against them and glad they won. But like I said with my prediction this team has little talent. Miller is a one trick pony(pass rusher). Did not like the pick, wanted Dareus. No receivers getting open, when they did TT could not him them. O-Line is terrible and that will show up again this weekend. McCoy better sart moving the pocket and the bootleg was there all day just never called.
1 – Great audible
“Love the fact he had the presence of mind (assist to Urban Meyer) and felt good enough about the offense, and confident enough, that he audibled from a run left to a run right when he sensed two linebackers creeping up from the left on the two-point conversion. There was actually only one. “Before we ran the play, Miami called timeout,” he told me. “We got a sense of what they were going to do and called our play, but after the timeout, it looked like they were going to a zero look.” In other words, all 11 men near the line, no one trolling the middle of the end zone for a pass. The audible entails left guard Zane Beadles pulling to the right to wall off the pressure along with tight end Daniel Fells, and for Tebow to sneak in behind them. Worked like a charm. Tebow quick-faked a pass, then tucked it under and ran just to the right of Beadles, who blocked safety Yeremiah Bell, and the game was tied”.

Quotable:
“Tim Tebow is a Clydesdale. He’s the best Clydesdale you’ll get in the history of Clydedales. But he is now being tested in the Kentucky Derby.” — ESPN analyst Merril Hoge , who is not a Tebow fan, in the network’s pregame show
Hey – Hodge, any chance Tebow can block for Beadles next time with Clady’s Clydesdales – LOL!!!!
10 pass attempts in 55min of play ??
do the coaches want Tebow to fail ??
stop listening to all the stupid analyse and just let Tebow play QB
he will learn where to throw the ball by doing it
Thanks for the win Tebow – way to beat the Dolphins and the coaches
It wasnt pretty BUT it sure feels good today, can barely remember this winning feeling .Hope we can compete through the whole game next week not just 4 minutes.NEED to throw more AND i no Tebow had a bad three quarters but he is not gunna get any better just handing it off over and over and over!LETS GO BRONCOS !!!!!!
miller one trick pony!!! hahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahah not really miller is a great pass rusher…but you havent even seen how great!! he will get 17 sacks one day!!! once he gets the feel for the game he will be just like Derrick Brooks on the run and Derrick Thomas with the sacks….this years draft we will get the big bodies we need….i think alabama has about 2 Dareus on there team this year…so does LSU….we will be fine on the dline with bunkly, warren, thomas being solid and bringing in sum beef on the line in the draft and FA!!!
CrushNation, I have a couple of opinions about your post. First of all Miller might be a one trick pony now, but the longer he plays the better he will get at the run. Dareus hasnt been all that great either, Miller was by far the better pick to me. I understand that we needed a DT, but to me you want to spend a number 2 pick on more of an impact player. The second thing i wanted to point out is the offensive line. Our offensive line is pretty good, but when your QB is dancing back behind you and keeps spinning around like a top what can you do. Tebow is everything that was wrong with our Offense and everthing that was right with it. Hopefully he can improve this week.
I dont no how our o line is called terrible when its been improving every week.Against the dolphins yeah there blitz n allmost every down we allowed 7 sacks but atleast most of them were tebow hold n on to the ball and dancing.Iam not knocking Tebow he played great in the clutch but to say our recievers wernt open is all game is not even close to b n the truth. And i think thats the 1st time iam hearing some 1 talk negative abot VON MILLER..6 sacks in 6 games, one more sack against the lions next week and an all time sack leader for a rookie in broncos history whats up with that CRUSH NATION
Scream for are BRONCOS,.. SCREAM VON-DOOOOM, and watch what happens. I do, it feels good, try it , its good for you. Drink the Kool-Aid, it good for you., I do , it taste Great. I go to two live games a year, and I will be comparing this lions game to whats been around the last decade, win or lose., I have not been this eccited for my BRONCOS in awhile, mabe playoffs with the snake, but that was bitter in of itself. THEIRS NO CRYING IN FOOTBALL, either get behind your team or get out, were not loosers, no suck for luck, thats weak minded cowardice
I’m not sure witch game you all were watching ?The game I was watching yes Tim held onto it a few times far to long BUT THE O LINE WAS PATHEDIC . How many free shots did blitzes get at TIM i lost count but far to many.he was running for his life to stay in the pocket there has to be a pocket to stay in .
Honestly, it’s hard to decide what is what. Tebow looked HORRIBLE for three and a half quarters. Was it Tebow? Was it the constant blitzing? Was it inaccuracy? Was it playcalling?
I think yes to all of these. Tebow screwed up on 5 or 6 passes. He was hurried more than I ever saw Orton hurried this year. Then on some plays he had wide open recievers (I mean crazy open) and he throws it away or tucks to run 1/2 sec too soon. His reads were bad. The play calling was predictable.
To me, everyone had a hand in Tebow looking bad for 50 minutes, including Tebow.
Then seemingly out of nowhere. Tebow was accurate and threw recievers open. The Oline gave him time. The hurry up offense was used and the play calling was different.
Was it the prevent defense? Was it the shotgun? Was it the Oline? Was it the play calling?…Yes
I honestly think that Denver should start the game in a hurry up shotgun offense and see if they can get Tebow in stride early. Then maybe try to settle into a more run first attack. Also, let Tebow audible and let him throw on first down. Not just run, run, pass. Also, utalize the rollouts and easy read type option plays to help Tebow learn while still being comfortable.
I think everyone had a hand it the bad three quarters and everyone had a hand in the awesome 10 min. Use this tape to learn and structure the offense accordingly.
GO BRONCOS! Live as a team, die as a team!
At times the O-line could’ve done better, but I would also point out that it is Tebow’s job to recognize a defense and make adjsutments as such — I believe this (and TT holding onto the ball too long at times) is why Orton often got less pressure: he recognized the defensive look and signaled for someone to pick up the pressure. Just a few more things that TT needs to work on — but that was expected as well.
Not to be agumentive but the last person to adjust the line is the center not the QB .
well, now that the shock and awe have worn off and most of the psycho’s have signed off im going to go ahead and chime in…
If Tebow can just settle down a bit, i think he will do better. I earlier mentioned that i thought we needed a new O.C., its not that Im mad because they wont play to Tebow’s strengths, its more about the complete lack of surprise with the play calling. I said last week that I hoped the Broncos came out and surprised everyone by going play action on their very first offensive play of the game and let Tebow chuck it downfield. That obviously didnt happen, in fact it was just the opposite. We ran the ball, then ran the ball, then ran the ball. Its really hard for ANY QB to get into a rhythm when he is only allowed 8 throws in a half! It looked exactly like Tebows first start last season against the raiders. Of course it doesnt help Tebows case any when his first pass is almost intercepted, and then he follows that up by several bad throws that at times were 15 yards off his wide open recievers. The Decker pass down the left hash was a TD if Decker is a 10th of a sec faster, or Tebow throws it 3 yds shorter. That in my opinion is simply a timing issue that needs to be worked on in practice. If you dont get to throw many deep balls you dont really have a good idea of the speed of your WR. That as much as anything, IMO, was why that ball was over thrown. In a couple weeks they hit that pass for a TD i think. Well, i cant really think of anything else to say so i guess i will call it good for now. If i think of anything else i will of course throw it out there! Oh, and Bay, did i get any points this week? i was 9 points off on my prediction for the game.
First off, HELL OF A TEAM WIN!! Team, you got that right? Not a Tebow win, but a team win. My dad texted me in a frenzy, he is convinced Tebow is “IT” in D town! Me? still not sold. I absolutely LOVE what TT did in the last 5 mins of that game, but no way is that something we can depend on every week. The Dolphins are one of the worst teams in the league folks! PERIOD. Tebow MUST play better in the future and honestly I think he will. There was a lot of rust, and nerves that needed to be handled before he could start showing us what we thought/hoped we were getting with him as starter. My dad keeps telling me that we just need to design our Offense around what Tebow does well. To a degree i agree with him, however, he still needs to be able to show that he can do the things that ALL NFL qb’s are expected to do. Last week when i made my prediction i said that i thought Tebow would do OK, not great but OK! That ultimately i thought it would be up to our D to keep us in the game. Well the D held up their end luckily, because if you truly look at the game TT put together, it was REALLY bad! Exciting, but BAD! And yet, I cant stop thinking he is only going to get better. I doubt he will ever be considered elite, but with another full off season and training camp, and hopefully a new O.C., i could see him being an average QB statistically. Of course its still those intangibles that make him special. I mean WOW! Crappy all day, and then its like someone just flipped a switch on that boy! AWESOME!! Combine that with the play of our D, our improved running game, and some magic on special teams (the onside kick, not the 2 miss FG’s. LOL), and i start smelling the Kool-aid again…and in case your wondering, its very orangey!!
Keep on buckin broncos!
THE BATTLE IS WON IN THE TRENCHES!
I’m thinking that there is an still an element somewhere that results in – “Bronco choke”
While Tebow obviously choked some (what Carnage defines as a good pass is one that ‘is as’ eligible for play to the defense as it is to the offense – Tebow did throw a couple of very good passes); some of the bad passes were QB/ receiver – on completely different pages, the dropped pass chokes, the Prater ‘chokes’, maybe play-calling chokes (but I don’t think so.) What causes a team to choke badly? The skill / talent is there, the confidence is in place, the game planning and preparation is there – and yet a team still is completely inept at execution. And then, what flips that invisible switch called ‘momentum’?
While the Bronco locker room has endured a ‘tenured demon’ of doubt / – and while a ‘newby’ QB feeds that ‘doubt’, and the ‘haters’ feed that doubt, and dumb coaching that would tell a ‘newby’ QB that he is one game at a time feeds doubt (rumor?)- is that what we saw yesterday?
The bigger question is: has Tebow done enough to slay the demon? He obviously did at the end of the MIA game – but ‘doubt’ is creeping in already because laming the Lion is not nearly the same as gaffing the Dolphin.
I think the the Lions D will try to duplicate what MIA did and in doing so will cheat themselves. They will have to adjust early and will not be able to continue the blitz packages like MIA into the 4th quarter.
The Broncos greatest asset is that the Lions will underestimate the Broncos – this win will also require the defense of the Broncos to keep the Lions O below average in production.
The ‘haters’ who are already going after the Lions and undermining them in order to be able to minimize the significance of a Bronco victory – can just ’shut up’ now. Significant competitive effort and a close score against the Lions will indicate huge progress, by DEN in coaching/ QB/ defense/ and O-line, beyond the ‘dark age’ of Bronco football.
My optimistic – wishful prediction.
DEN – 24 / DET – 21 Tebow writes his check for the future-
McCoy needs to design plays for a quarterback who is still learning reads and progressions. Tebow lacks the game experience to do this quickly. He will improve over time but right now the O.C. needs to help him by doing roll outs, screens and other plays that require simple reads. As Tebow improves and gets comfortable you can pepper in the traditional plays on a more regular basis.
Tebow needs to improve but this should be a team goal to get him to his potential and that starts with coaching and play calls. We all know Tebow knows he played poorly and he will work on it. I hope the coaching staff takes note and trys to help as well.
Orton was good at identifying the blitz and getting it picked up allowing himself crazy amounts of time in the pocket. I hope his ego isn’t too large and he teaches Tebow this valuable trait.
First of all Great job by the defense, 2nd poor offense for the first 57 mins. Good win
110 >> Percent given by our guys when Tebow is at the helm. That wins ballgames. That’s why the Miracle in Miami is the re-start beginning of a winning Denver ball club with Tim Tebow…getting better and better!!
Go Broncos!!
Quite an interesting Monday … tempted to say “enjoy it while we can”, but I won’t (or did I?) … anyway – lots to learn by everybody from the Miami game … what works – what doesn’t … you guys who are bad-mouthing the coaching staff – remember, they have a plan, it’s just not YOUR plan … maybe it will work, maybe it could be better (in our eyes), but it’s their plan that is going to be followed, so quit bad-mouthing … seems you just HAVE to have something to bad-mouth … I’m sure their plan is to take “baby-steps”, and find out what works best and what is learned quickest … they know they have a diamond-in-the-rough, maybe a Clydesdale, maybe a thorobred, but it’s THEIR job to find out which … they’re smart enough to see the intracacies and subtleties of the situation … you’re willing to give Tebow “time” – do the same with the coaching staff … geez – we’ve gone through this before …
On another front, the papers in SoCal were full of the Chargers lamenting their “blown” victory in NYC yesterday … it’s the same after almost every loss – “they didn’t beat us – we beat ourselves” … the Chargers have been built up as “Gods” for so long, with so much talent, that they should never lose a game … it’s only when they play bad that they lose – never that the other team played a great game, took advantage of their mistakes, and BEAT them … it takes more than talent to win games – it takes a TEAM, working together … so – in a way they are right – they don’t play well enough together as a team to win games against good teams, and lots of times lose to poorer teams … look at last year … their window-of-opportunity is surely whistling by … soon they may be like the Raiders, who really laid an egg yesterday … wow – all of a sudden our division is so mediocre that any of us have a chance …
Ain’t it great to be a Bronco fan!!!!!!!!!!!
