woo hoo. Almost time boys. When we unleash Tebow PRIME!
Just a quick thought… Do you think Atlanta fans are on their Blog upset that we signed Bush? Just how we are about Riley?
Nice to see the early returns on the return to the run game. Hopefully, it soon translates to more Wins.
Hopefully Elvis can return to 2009 form too. We need him to be effective. As much as anybody else on this team!

the number of days remaining until we get Broncos football back and we get to see what TIMMAY can do!!
GO BRONCOS!!
bronclax, if you ever get curious bout another team, check out their offical site., most of em suck compared to ours, the falcons last blog was 8 days ago, … even worse for chokeland… just one more reason to love our organization,.. i mean have you listend to how pumped up out btv intros are?, gets me going in the morning.
better than coffee..,
sndvl: Doom returning to form is not the issue imo. The scheme has not been as aggressive as it could be. Not having a solid D-line rotation may be hurting the chances for that to happen but I think we could be more aggressive. Our defense is ranked at the bottom of the stack again and I thought we would be middle of the pack. Just sayin’
134: Number of times I’ve cursed at the TV while watching Broncos games.

On Oct. 23, the Broncos become Tim Tebow’s team. A cultural earthquake will follow.
pakaloloman haha thanks for the input I just thought about it because it seems like we are pretty upset about riley.. and yes BTV pumps me up too
I wonder if that 8.78 Tebow number isn’t just a little bit skewed since last year he was put in a few times on the goal line, running a few TDs and throwing for 1 when Orton was still the starter. The guy probably had 3 TDs on half a dozen touches.
I’m a big a Tebow supporter as anyone, but numbers can certainly be misleading.
The numbers I’m thrilled to death about are our running numbers — we’re edging towards being that running team we’ve wanted and getting better. Tebow is a deeper threat than Orton with a greater tendency to throw downfield, so that should help stretch the field more for our running game as well.
Hey Bay, just saw your post on last blog about how woody thinks luck might pull a Elway and pick his team and has the leverage of going back to school … Last I checked he was a senior not a junior … because correct me if I am wrong … everyone was waiting for him to declare last year in his junior year but he decided to go back to school (probably didn’t wanna be a panther). So he is totally a senior now not unless u can declare in your sophmore year or something … or maybe Im missing something but that woody article sounds inaccurate. TRB
Luck can stay for another year if he chooses.
TRB I believe he was a third year soph last year, and is a junior this year so he can still go back to stanford if he chooses to do so. He didn’t play his freshman year so he saw his first action as a redshirt freshman.
Theres a rookie with more sacks than von? wow
Thx for clearing that up pinoy … quite honestly I have never understood the whole system of redshirt this and 3rd year sophmore this and what it means and why they can be in school longer and etc. But thx for clarifying cuz I coulda sworn he was a senior. TRB
TRB: I think Miller could have more sacks but again I think we have not been as aggressive as we could be to pressure the QB. I’m thinking that the Denver defense is due for a strong day (picked them up in fantasy for this week) Especially against a horrible Miami team. I am actually suprised that Tony Sparano still has a job. I think if they lose to us he will be fired.
I have to disagree raidrhadr. I think our defensive scheme relies on pressuring the QB. Our front 4 has not consistently produced. Isn’t that why a rookie LB leads our team in sacks?
Look at the front 4 of Detroit.
Elvis returning to form could open it up for the other 10. Especially the Dline!
I also picke dup our D in fantasy and will play them over the pits D that plays arizona … I got that much faith … last time I had faith against the chargers they came through for me. Dolphins Offense is garbage. I see sacks galor … only thing we might have to deal with is rookie Daniel Thomas who is running like a man possessed. I mean IMO if it wasn’t for his 4.5/4.6 40 time … he shoudla been a first round pick the way he runs and if our guys keep up with this poor tackling and don’t wrap him up … we are in for some serious running problems because the mans legs never stop moving.
I think Doom is fine as well … I saw alot of holding on him against the packers and double teams too …. he is giving Miller and the rest a better chance cuz he is drawing attention. He will get his. But I warn everybody that He may never have a 17 sack season again … that was in the 3-4 … in the 4-3 he is still good just not as productive sack wise as he is in the 3-4. But doom is finally fully lifting weights and feels good and stuff so its time to unleash him. I think we get 6 sacks this game … not unless thier run game works so well they abandon the pass.
TRB
Our D has just been overly susceptible to the big play and giving up horrible 3rd and longs for conversions. The tackling has been horrible. We seem to get burned in many areas on D. I think with some additions, we are a few positions short of being a force in the league. Not gonna happen this year. The numbers say we SHOULD have a great day against this horrid Miami O. Champ will love shutting Marshall down!
Exciting STUFF!!! I think some of those “so called numbers” are possibly a little skewed in our favor, but they are the numbers! LOL
I like “TIMMY”!!! I think this is the most excited I have been as a Bronco Fan since the 1997, 1998 seasons. And no I am not expecting a Superbowl this Feb, but I am happy to see what Tebow can do and see where he is at years end!
Isn’t that what this is all about – finding out if we have a FUTURE STAR in TIMMY!?!? Because if not we need to FIX the QB position during the next off season. I fully think and believe there are better draftable players at QB this year than there were in the last five DRAFTS. I like Luck, Kellen Moore, the kid from Houston, Landry Jones, and the list goes on for a while!!!
ANYWAY, NOW is TEBOW-TIME!!!
GO TEBOW!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!
Can someone please tell me what IMO means? Thanks.
“In My Opinion” LMAO!!!
“Laugh MY A$$ Off” hahahahahahahahahaha
I thought it meant “I Miss Orton”
hahahahahahaha
Oh nooooo … I used IMO … does that mean I miss Orton?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol.
But yes it means in my opinion lol
Luck is a redshirt junior. He has one more year of football eligibility if he wants but gets his degree this year so no reason to return to school. That is my understanding.
TRB arguing with Woody, LOL.
Elvis doesn’t appear to be quite at top form just yet.
He’s drawn double teams a few times, which is tough to beat at any rate.
When he’s had one on one matchups, he seems to be somewhat tentative with the power rush move that’s been his trademark. jmo
Hope he’s worked out the soreness and ready to go!
I don’t think we’ll see the full effect of Elvis til next season, when he’s completely healthy and not afraid to push the envelope. I think he still might be a little tentative.
The way I understand it this is Luck’s final year of eligbilty in the NCAA. Don’t quote me on that but why would he be a, “Red Shirt Junior”???
What does that even mean??? LOL
PLUS . . . he would have been DRAFTED #1 this year and he is having an outstanding final year – which won’t have him slip if thing continue as they are. He has nothing left to gain in the NCAA as far as I’m concerned, especially if he graduates from school. I don’t think we stand a snow balls chance in H3!! of ever seeing him in a Broncos Uniform anyway – so why does it matter??? LOL
The Elder Sharpe with a frank assessment!
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8234bdb1/article/tebow-dont-expect-newlook-broncos-offense-vs-dolphins?module=HP11_headline_stack
TRB: I agree that our front 4 are not getting it done and we all know that our rotation could be more solid but my point is that our LBs are playing off the line of scrimmage alot. So to expect our 4 down linemen to get penetration by themselves is ridiculous to me…not while we are lacking some talent in the middle. So, I would think that Mays and especially Miller could be used more aggressively. Sure Miller leads the team in sacks but I think we could lead the league if we find more and better ways to pressure with LBs and instead of playing them off so much. That’s my point. You said it yourself the D-line is not getting there so be more aggressive. That’s all.
Tebow is MacGyver! He’ll make something BIG out of a pocket knife! hahaha
LOL killerkod
new blog
my score for this week –> 28 – 21 in favor of my Broncos
Tebow’s been invited to a Gun fight with a pocket knife!! LOL!!
Sharpe’s words not mine… (Sterling).
Ok missed your link sndvl… I did see it last night on NFLN.
Anyone gona be at the orange game?(lions). It could be entertaining, or uterly brutal., and ive been given a lions fan of a brother to join me, but the ALLSPARK doesnt scare him one bit, i was at the pre season game where best smashed our secondary for 3qrtrs ( last year), hope we keep him in check
Orange27 –
I am one of the college football fanatics on this blog so I will try and explain the redshirt status.
When a player starts his college football career, a team can decide to “redshirt” him giving him one more year of eligibility to play football. This is most commonly done if you have 2 freshman coming in to start at the same position. You only have room for 1 so you would redshirt the other giving him that extra year to play.
If a player that is redshirted plays, then he loses his redshirt status and also loses that extra year of eligibility.
Generally speaking you hear redshirt freshman and redshirt sophomore then it becomes 4th year junior and 5th year senior.
When it comes to Luck, he was recruited to Stanford in 2008 and given the redshirt. 2009 he was a redshirt freshman but technically a sophomore. 2010 he was a redshirt sophomore but tecnically a junior. Since he was out of high school for 3 years, he was eligible for the draft. 2011 he is a 4th year junior but technically a senior and will graduate.
I do believe that if he graduates, the only way to still play in 2012 is if he enrolls in grad school.
Also a player can sometimes be granted a 6th year of eligibility by the NCAA and those would be medical redshirts but that is a whole different story…
