The Chargers were not called for a single penalty, marking just the third time in Broncos history that the opponent was not whistled for any fouls.

2
With his 55-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter vs. San Diego, CB Cassius Vaughn became just the second undrafted player in NFL history (since the inception of the modern-era draft) to return both a kick and an interception for a touchdown in their careers.

3
RB Willis McGahee turned in his third 100-yard rushing performance of the season, finishing with 125 yards on 16 attempts (7.8 avg.). The 7.8 yards per carry tie for the third most in his career (min. 10 carries).

4
SLB Von Miller registered a sack in his fourth consecutive game, marking the longest rookie sack streak by a Bronco since LB Mike Croel had a sack in six straight games during his 1991 campaign.

7
Against San Diego, QB Tim Tebow scored his seventh career rushing touchdown. His seven rushing touchdowns rank second among all NFL quarterbacks since the start of the 2010 season, trailing only Eagles QB Michael Vick, who has nine.

84.2
Tebow’s 84.2 career passer rating is the highest among quarterbacks who entered the league in 2010.

98
The Broncos’ offensive line kept Denver’s quarterbacks clean for the 98th time in franchise history. The last time Denver quarterbacks didn’t get sacked in a game was vs. Kansas City on Nov. 14, 2010.

bay,i don’t know bro maybe he has way too many to cover up,lol.

  2. BeastFromEast92 says:

Plus Kolb was playing backup and didn’t play as much as Orton!

  3. badluck727 says:

Miller Yes I do other wise you would not be getting mad. never said i like Orton Personnaly I like Quinn

  4. Casinoroyal19 says:

These people on sports center were all talking about how tebow should start now and then merrill hodge starts talking crap about him. I just had to laugh at it

  5. BeastFromEast92 says:

    TEBOW!!!!!!TEBOW!!!!!!!!TEBOW!!!!!!!

  6. brian_schneider says:

    !!!!!WOBET!!!!!!!WOBET!!!!!WOBET

  7. BeastFromEast92 says:

Quinn is the King of INTs!

I say Tebow and Weber in 2012!

  8. brian_schneider says:

I’m in the North Stands not the South LOL!

  9. BeastFromEast92 says:

Besides Quinn’s contract is up at the end of the year, and he hasn’t proven he’s worth a big contract, neither has Tebow, but he already has a big contract, and he has the”IT” factor!!!

  10. baylinorcrush says:

Talking about Quinn, how do you like this, LOL:

On Sunday, the quarterback controversy that had been simmering under the surface in Denver exploded. Kyle Orton was benched in favor of Tim Tebow, who nearly engineered a comeback win over San Diego. His incomplete passes on a point after attempt and a Hail Mary in the last play of the game ensured the Chargers’ win, but Tebow’s play was good enough to give Broncos coach John Fox some tough decisions to make. The Broncos have a bye this week, then will travel to Miami in Week 7 for their next contest.

The QB controversy is completely centered around Orton and Tebow. The Broncos depth chart says that their number two QB is Tebow or Brady Quinn, but Broncos fans weren’t chanting “We want Quinn.”

Since Quinn is being forced to take a backseat to the Tebow/Orton mess, he is at least using his time to be a good boyfriend. Quinn’s girlfriend, elite gymnast Alicia Sacramone, ruptured her Achilles tendon while in Tokyo preparing for the world championships. She is having surgery today, and tweeted that Quinn will be by her side.

“Best boyfriend award goes to @BQ9 for taking the red eye from Denver to be here for my surgery today…just another reason why I love him.”

See? Quinn hasn’t taken a snap in a regular season pro game since 2009, and he has been completely marginalized in the Broncos QB discussion, but he is the best boyfriend. That has to be worth something.

  11. codybleedsorangeandblue says:

If EFX is smart and they start Tebow, I feel sorry for Miami. 2 weeks worth of prep and practice with 1st team, could be a deadly combination.

Also worth noting, if our offense can stay on the field, we have a pretty decent defense…

  12. BeastFromEast92 says:

Fox says he isn’t saying anything about the QQ until tomorrow,I guess he’s waiting on Elway or Mr. B to tell him who starts, lol.

  13. millerqbkiller says:

it was totaly cool to see tebow come up big yesterday and i agree with the fact that it felt good yesterday although we lost i was still pumped last night and even this morning

  14. brian_schneider says:

Usually I’m in an awkward funk all day after a loss but not so much today.

  15. codybleedsorangeandblue says:

You know had Lloyd held on for that 2 pt conversion, there is a good chance Prater makes that kick (instead of hail mary) then we are in OT…what ifs are a deadly game to play though….

  16. baylinorcrush says:

With this Tebow thing it seems as if everyone is losing track that we are the only AFC West team to lose yesterday and now sit all alone at the bottom of the divison, and remember how bad we thought the Chiefs were? Well they won 2 games now!!!

  17. millerqbkiller says:

if you wanna know how good quin is then go ask a browns fan they will tell you all about him.

  18. codybleedsorangeandblue says:

miller – I think Charlie Weis wants him to play QB at Florida….

  19. strandoftds says:

Mrs. Merrill Hoge is a loser. She is only jealous is all.

  20. millerqbkiller says:

although our record stinks if tebow had been starting the whole season i think the only game we lose so far is greenbay. the raiders week one orton fumbled at the end when he didnt get hit and we lost by three and in the titans game we lost by three but im sure if tebow was in on that goaline series he woulda broke sombody inhalf to score and not get stuffed. and last night it was obvious if tebow started things more than likley woulda been better for us.

  21. badluck727 says:

The browns were bad at that time there were alot of QB’s in cleveland over the years. All I want as a fan is a team that the fans will support and not boo when thing dont go there way. Denver has not had that since the Jake Plummer days

  22. strandoftds says:

With Tebow at the helm the only way is up.

  23. millerqbkiller says:

merrill hodge is a loser i dont think that guys career was so badass for him to be credible as a media member. that guy will have to swallow a lotta words he spit about tebow. tebow will make hodge look like a retard

  24. strandoftds says:

Even though we lost, I`m still elated that Tim Tebow put on a show that gives us fans something positive to talk about.

  25. strandoftds says:

Like a dog returning to his vomit, Hoge is a MUTT!!!!!!!

  26. millerqbkiller says:

brady quinn didnt win as a starter in the nfl and im pretty sure the school he came from has sucked for years notre dame. people always say just because you win in college doesnt mean you will win in the nfl. well for quinn he hasnt won on either level his skill set doesnt touch tebow. that is why tebow is getting the nod at qb.

  27. royalbroncofan1 says:

Until Merrill Hodge learns how to tie a necktie… I’ll ignore him!
(that double knot has to go – LOL!!).

  28. strandoftds says:

John Elway is my hero. One of my cherished possessions is the video I still have “John Elways Greatest Comebacks.” I`ll cherish it forever.

  29. strandoftds says:

I`m telling ya, he`s full of hate. Whenever he spews his venim towards Tim Tebow, the veins in his neck stick out and he starts huffing and puffing.

  30. strandoftds says:

    ooops. Venom.

  31. baylinorcrush says:

New blog Fox saying little about QBs for now, well nothing really.

  32. millerqbkiller says:

i thought i was the only one who noticed hodges necktie it has a huge knot totally overkill.

  33. millerqbkiller says:

has anyone read tebows book yet i have read like half of it so far and it is pretty interesting

  34. royalbroncofan1 says:

I hear ya strand – he was gloating at the beginning of the season when he found out TT was not going to start. A hater.

  35. Broncos Born & Raised says:

Merril Hoge is your Tebow analyst. Had a nothing career and now he thinks he knows what winners and losers look like. These analysts are great at analyzing how things should be on paper. Even carnagebronc knows enough about the game to make some very good points that can really challenge anyone in a debate. But a lot more often than some people realize, the analysis never amounts to reality. I go off of what I see and I see is someone who can make it happen when I watch Tebow. That’s what the fans see too and there’s no fooling us anymore.

  36. strandoftds says:

And for all of the older guys and gals who`ll remember this. John Elway went through the same crap as Tim Tebow is right now. The media was all over Elway because he snubbed the Baltimore Colts. Different circumstances but same negativity. Back in that day in the first few years of Johns carreer he was called a prima donna. Go figure. John Elway had an awesome career as QB for our Broncos. I think Tim Tebow will do the same.

  37. bronco4L says:

I don’t understand why are people bashing on tebow. I don’t know if they were watching the same game, but the WR were dropping balls from both qb. But tebow keep drives alive that it even helped out mcgahee on the running game. One more thing to point out is the deffense in the second half looked like they had something to play for. I know tebows accuracy is not the best, with more reps n game time experince he can only get better… I can except a lost from tebow bcuz this just his third game in a half lol… But it was againts a good divisional rival that was going to blow us out like they always do but tebow made it exciting.

p.s. JOHN FOX STICK WITH TEBOW HE MIGHT NOT BE WHAT YOU WANT ON A QB BUT HE GIVES AN EDGE… THE MAGIC IS BACK!!!

  38. codybleedsorangeandblue says:

Miller – I have read the book twice now.

It gives you a lot more depth as to who Tebow is as a person which tells you a lot of what kind of “gamer” he is.

Did anybody else think we might see Tebow’s famous jump pass to a TE on one of those goal line plays?

  39. strandoftds says:

I have far more respect for Sndvl and Carnagebronc than Hoge. As a matter of fact I appriciate those dudes. They have opinions too but not filled with hate.

  40. millerqbkiller says:

if you wanna think that analysts are experts and they know what they are talking about look at the eagles how many dumb analysts jumped on that wagon and said o what a great team should be in the superbowl. now they look like crap

  41. FLBroncoGator says:

millerqbkiller, I read his book right after standing in line to get it autographed. There is ONE thing in his book though that I have serious doubts on though. I don’t want to say that Tebow lied but I have a really hard time believing that ANYBODY, let alone an 8th grade kid, did 310 straight reps with a 55 lb. curl bar lol. I’d have to see that one to believe it. Great book though for sure!

  42. millerqbkiller says:

ya your lucky you got it signed thats awsome. FLBroncoGator hold on to that book.

  43. FLBroncoGator says:

Oh, I would never let it go if I had it but I gave it to my son who waited with me. All he wanted for his 9th birthday was to meet Tim Tebow and he told Tim that it was the best birthday present of his life. What Tim gives back to other people is what makes him such a special person, player, and fan favorite. He treated my son just like they were old friends and I can’t even hardly wash the Tebow jersey off my son now lol. He practically lives in it.

  44. millerqbkiller says:

what a lucky kid to have a dad like you and for meeting his favorite player. thats awsome.

  45. FLBroncoGator says:

Thanks millerqbkiller. He’s a pretty awesome kid even if I am kind of biased lol.

  46. whackmac says:

Monday morning I noticed that the Merle Hodges’ of the world were short on comment. That in itself told me that good things have happened in Denver.

It always feels good to make an unpopular argument and then be proven rght. Only a blind person would fail to notice the fine exhibition displayed by Tim Tebow. If he improves over that second half, we are in for some good times. I am not a chant man, and I think Orton is a potentially great quarterback. It was up to Orton to life up to his potential and you can’t blame Fox, the crowd, or anyone but Orton for what happened.
