Those are some nice numbers!
Too bad they don’t all add up to 1 more win…..
I can’t wait until we see :
400
Broncos finally achieve their 400th win as a franchise.
-Royalty
Which by the way is only:
1
One win away lol.
I hope that that is the only way in which Von Miller is similar to Tim Crowder.
We just might not get that win this season………..
That just might secure our spot in the luck sweepstakes! lol
Hey Royalty, I just read that he also wasted time this offseason filming a show called The Biggest Loser.
Yeah Redna that has already been discussed in an earlier blog. Some blogger offering a joke that went something like ‘with Ortons record he should have been picked as the star of that show’ LMAO!!
New blog.
I think Tebow had a lot of distractions over the off-season……..not to mention the fact that he probably had it in his head that he was going to be the starter here anyways.
You know there are 24 hours in a day and 7 days a week. Do you really think that ALL players spent all their time practicing or staying fit? NO! You can bet Tim practiced HARD all off season. Maybe not with who Quinn did but a lot of good that did. It took Quinn 5 years to decide to get better and then it didn’t work. How many players were not in “Football shape” ? Quite a few and look at Tebow he is buffed and was ready to come in. Neither orton or quinn look like thay could lift a feather. Oh and guess what? The packers did not get together once as a team during the lockout and they are still one of the top 2 in the NFL. Knowing Tebow he had his priorities straight and worked hard but since the money deal controls things he wont get his chance.
Royalty,
It’s not Orton’s record, it’s the Broncos record and it’s not funny.
I didn’t say anything about practicing or staying fit. Obviously the guy’s in shape. I said that I don’t think he worked hard enough at being a better quarterback, not a better exerciser.
Prediction; S.D. wins 24-23
It seems as though Orton didn’t work hard enough at being a better quarterback either just a better practice player.
Yo REDNA : A rusty Tebow has a preseason passing rating of 108.. Which was number 10 overral in the entire NFL ( min 5 attempts ).. If you are going to say tebow wasn’t ready maybe you should look at the stats before making that statement… FYI: Orton career passsing 79.6 (tebow 82.1) .. td to int % (orton 1.46 tebow 1.67)…
wow… where did all the TT haters come from? the last 2 years ive been on this blog and never seen or heard from 95% of them. This is the same topic we have been discussing here for 32 GAMES NOW! Where have you all been hiding? LOL To say that Tebow doesnt work hard is probably the most bone headed comment i have read on here in a while. Question the guys mechanics all you want, but ask around…. Tebow’s work ethic is STELLAR, bar none!! Also have to comment on the Brady Quinn being out of shape. Dude, he is a fitness junkie! He is in shape. I promise! Look, we are all tired of losing. The final common denominator is Orton. Even the announcers last weekend said “hey, Tebow could make THESE throws”. None of us know what the future holds, but im pretty sure we can agree that the long term future does NOT hold Orton. Quinn? Maybe they resign him at the end of the year. Weber? Maybe he makes the 53 man roster, maybe not. But Tebow has what…. 2 years left on his contract? So short of a wild trade, he WILL be here next year. So Im totally prepared to have another 4-12 season, but if thats the case then why not get our 2nd year QB some game time action so that we can limit the growing pains for next year? At the very least, as many others have stated, we would know by seasons end whether we need to draft a QB early or not.
ROCKET SCIENCE… I KNOW!!
GO BRONCOS
Just read a little blurp on NFL.com concerning bad teams and making QB switches… specifically Minn and Den here is what one writer had to say:
By Dave Dameshek @ NFL.com
Tebow’s coming, sooner rather than later
Because the season is already a lost cause, it’s easy to say Leslie Frazier and John Fox should throw in the towel and put their young QBs in to get some seasoning for the future. While both coaches know that going 3-13 might be good for draft position, it doesn’t help their long-term future. If Frazier and Fox believe McNabb and Orton give them the best chance to win, that’s who they’ll want under center.
However …
Sometimes the coach doesn’t have the final say. As the man in charge of Broncos football operations, John Elway needs to know if he’s got a keeper in Tebow A.S.A. and P. That’s why I’ve been saying since August that Tebow is going get a long look at some point this season. By the way things are going, it’s gonna be sooner rather than later
Doesnt really say anything definitive but just thought i would toss out a “proffesional writers” opinion.
ROCKET SCIENCE… I KNOW!!
my workplace has a filter in place to prevent me from going to the new “cheerleader blog”… so until they start another new blog, im stuck here in limbo… anyone else around?
RayJr26 i agree with you. We dont know what we have in Tebow, and we need to see. We know what we have in Orton. By far i think Orton is the best backup QB in the league. I am not a Tebow fan. I think he is a great person and as a christian myself i admire that he is so strong in his faith, however i havent seen anything on the field to show me he will be anything but an average QB. armadillo_orton wants to bring up Tebows numbers from preseason….he was not as good as his numbers would imply.
I would love to be proven wrong, i would be happy if Tebow came out and proved that he can be a NFL QB. Win or Lose i am a Bronco Fan, and i will cheer them on every game.
do players practice today?
i agree with most of you my opinion is this. We keep hearing that Orton gives us the best chance at winning and that might be true. but his record speaks for itself. i like Orton but we need to just go in other direction he had 2 years now and we are in the same posotion we been in the last few years. I know all the players are backing him but i feel there just trying to calme the tebow storm. And as for Tebow he will b fine the problem is everyone is judgeing him like he is a convitional QB and he is not people forget he only been in the league for 2 years now and really has not got alot of game time experience. I think he is just what we need. his ability to extend the play is vital for a qb now in the league if you look at the elite Qb now they all have that except for payton and brady who are pure passers.
Yay, more empty stats!
If we are talking about numbers….. 0 thats how many playoff games we have gone to with orton! I know its a pretty huge number! He suposably gives us the best chance to win…. Right?.
lots of good posts today! i think we have a good shot at winning this week as long as neckbeard doesnt throw to many picks. we got champ back plus dumervil is healthy. and von miller no more need be said.
but if we dont win then tebow better be th f@%king starter after the by week
As much as I hate to say it ,if a lose means we see a qb change than im for that BUT I would rather win and still the qb change after the bye.Either way wishful thinking.
