23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.

27 The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”

How many Feared Staying on the Tim Tebow Bandwagon that appeared to going down in Flames and Jumped off ?
I haven't been invited yet into the prediction game but will offer mine anyway. Since the safety is out and Mendenhall as well. And with Ben hobbling, I too predict a relatively low scoring game. I have seen JJ on screens and wheel routes first hand and he is very good in the flat.

I think Prater will have a big day with several drives bogging down in his territory and Fox will let him kick them this week. 3 field goals plus one TD makes it:

Broncos- 16

Steelers- 13

What everyone(including analysts) seems to forget is that this is a young team, especially on offense, and were in the playoffs! Tebow doesn't even have a full season in yet either does Demariyus. Mcgahee is a vet but his first year here, Fox is our new coach, our Oline is young, decker 2nd year!! Our best Defensive player, no pun to champ and dawk and doom, is a rookie in Von Miller. I'd say we've had a hell of a year instead of doggin' us!

This should be a good game. Steelers will be without Clark and without Mendenhall (torn ACL). Big Ben still doesnt look normal with that ankle.

Prediciton:

Broncos 10
Steelers 7

shaztah,

I think you bring up some very good points. One in particular is Orton's "pretty" ball.

From simply a fans standpoint of the NFL...it's amazing that the story line through the broadcast was 150% about Orton throwing vs. Tim....did you notice how many times they instant replayed the ball in slow motion?

I see the point, but NEVER once did they speak to or have spoke to Orton's record as a Dever Bronco. Never ONCE did they talk about his inabilities as a quarterback.

It seems that when we play teams, the message always seems to stem to what the opposing QB does so well and how far Tim has to go to be able to be like them....

Now, I'm not a Tebow lover nor a Tebow hater....I simply want him to succeed to the best of his abilities but like many others, when that time comes for us to change in the QB area we need to change.

With that said, I can't help but think...at some point Tim is going to simply wake up and realize he's holding back. I've seen the deep throw, I've seen the short throw and I've seen the game where he scrambles and should run but kept his eye down field and found DT....Now I know it's got to be put all together, but like I said after the KC game and you eluded to Shaztah.....every down I say to myself...."This is it kid...go get it!!" Although you know the deck is stacked against you...some how :) Tim has instilled this "until the clock reads zero we got a chance" type mentality in me.

Is it an unrealistic way to watch a game? Maybe...but from one fan to another....I see your point.

GO GET EM' BOYS!

I have a question. on the play were Tebow lost the fumble against the chiefs the player from the chifes that recovered it clearly stepped out of bounds before he picked up the ball. My understanding of the rule is that if a player goes out of bounds he cannot be the first person to touch the ball. Does anyone know if this in fact true?

I have been thinking about this season a lot the last couple days. At the beginning of the season I did not feel excited about watching the games. I knew that Orton would throw a "pretty" spiral but he just stood there like a statue. If the game was on the line he would crumble. After the first couple games I stopped watching, I would watch via NFL.com but other than that I knew what to expect. During the San Diego game I saw that they put Tim in the game and my husband immediately switched the channel. We have watched every game since. I know the last 3 games were hard to watch but every week I feel like it is going to be exciting and I surely never thought that with Orton. I saw many bloggers say that with Orton we may have beat KC or the Bills. HELLO! He threw 1 TD in 3 games. If Rodgers hadn't had an off day and they wouldn't have underestimated that defense then KC would have surely lost. I just really wanted to say thank you to the entire Bronco's team for the exciting games and the chance to see my favorite team play in the playoffs. I am really looking forward to next year to see how far Tim developes and I really expect great things from this team. BTW I think it is funny when KC fans comment on DP articles cuz they say stuff like "you can keep Tebow we will take Orton" I guess they never saw him play here and didn't realize his win loss record. Guess that doesn't matter when you can throw a pretty ball.

I said the same thing, we use that lame WR screen every once in a while but since Moreno went down we haven't screened with the RB. And its needed. It helps a young QB. We did it alot last year with buck and Moreno. JJ has one of the best hands ive seen in a RB in a while

An explanation was put forth that now that teams keep Tebow in the pockets, pinned down and play man, its hard to screen. Screens mainly work against zones and blitz/zoneblitzes .... which the Pitts run alot so maybe we see some RB screens this game. Some roll outs and bootlegs will be nice too. If they wont let him out of the pocket, create a play that is designed to get him out of the pocket, seems logical to me but like many things its easier said than done apparently.

I believe we need to intice Polamalu to overplay his rush. Perhaps a sweep to the left and followed by draw up the middle, type plays. If we can get him off balance we may have a chance with some tight end passes.
