Inside the Numbers

The Broncos posted their league-best third game with at least 195 rushing yards. The club has topped the 200-yard rushing mark in back-to-back games and have run for 195 or more in their last three.

6
Quarterback Tim Tebow posted his sixth career game with both a rushing and passing touchdown. Those six games rank second in the NFL (behind Michael Vick’s 7) since Tebow entered the league in 2010. With his 7-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, he passed Jake Plummer for the second-most rushing touchdowns (8) by a quarterback in franchise history. John Elway leads that category with 33 rushing touchdowns.

7
Eric Decker caught his seventh touchdown pass of the season to help put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter against the Chiefs. His seven receiving touchdowns rank second in the AFC and third in the NFL.

55
The Broncos’ stable of backs carried the ball a combined 55 times in the 17-10 victory over Kansas City to represent the 6th most rushing attempts for a game in team history. The 55 carries by six different Broncos were the most since a 59-carry effort against Seattle on Oct. 29, 1978.

96
Sunday’s first half marked the 96th time in team history that the club shut out the opponent in the first half. The Broncos improved to an NFL-best 29-1 (.967) since 1994 in those situations. The team also improved to a league-best 45-1 (.978) since 2000 with a halftime lead of 10 points or more.

228.8
Since the team’s bye week, the Broncos lead the NFL in rushing yards per game with 228.8. Only one other team has averaged more than 200 rushing yards per game in that span (Houston Texans). Denver has gained a league-best 915 rushing yards and is averaging 5.6 yards per carry during that span.

Alright Bay, I reread all my posts starting with the Armadillo response to see if I wrote anything that came off as me being upset. It’s not their brother. If I make good points that are hard to argue against you don’t have to resort to making it about something other than the facts – i.e. my emotional state. Just agree to disagree and move on to the next topic haha. With that said I’m out for a while. Gotta couple errands to run before it gets to dark. Bronc at you guys later.

    Ive got one word………………………’BOOTLEG’!!!

Why not? We are famous for it! Its our signature in NFL History..I say we bring it back coupled with our run 1st Philosophy for these reasons:

    1) Absolutely NO ONE would expect Fox to adopt a plays from Our History..it or See them Coming!
    2) Designed to be executed after baiting the Defense 8 in the box.
    3) We are commanding attention with 8 in the box (the way we want from the run)
    4) Tebow is a better scrambler than Plummer wich will = more success!
    5) It will force Defenses to Fear Us..like Coach Allen envisioned, because we now present a “triple threat” in so many ways.
    6) We have similar personnel talent to our SB teams…especially in team chemistry.
