Toys For Tots
The Denver Broncos have teammed up with the Marine Toys for Tots foundation.
New, unwrapped toys will be collected at this Sunday’s game at Sports Authority Field against the Bears. You can also go online at www.toysfortots.org/touchdown now through December 24th to sponsor a toy for a less fortunate child in their community.
Those interested can bring new, unwrapped toys to the Denver Broncos team store today and tomorrow as well.
Metal Detector Screening
As part of the National Football League’s ongoing focus to improve fan safety and security, Sports Authority Field at Mile High will begin transitioning from pat downs to use of handheld metal detectors at all stadium entrances and gates. Metal detectors will be gradually phased in during this year’s remaining home games in order for fans and stadium staff to become familiar with and accustomed to the new screening process.
“The new process will improve the effectiveness of security screening while also being more fan-friendly,” said Stadium General Manager Andy Gorchov. “The thoroughness of a search with a metal detector is superior to that of a conventional pat down. The reports we have received from other stadiums that have already started implementation is that after fans and staff can become familiar with the process, it is quicker to get through, minimizes physical contact and no longer requires separate male and female search lines.”
Tips from stadium managment when coming to the stadium include:
- Arrive early, allow for an additional 30 minutes to enter the stadium.
- Familiarize yourself with stadium policies and prohibited items.
- Prior to entering the gate remove all loose items that may set off the metal detectors; keys, cell phones and other metal objects.
- Visit www.sportsauthorityfieldatmilehigh.com and click on ‘Stadium Info’ for a complete list of stadium policies.

Lol about the nickleback being at that metal festival. So the vid and the interview with chad about. Awesome that he was able to see it from the fans perspective instead of just being angry about the reaction. For what they do they do it well. I know that’s the first thing i look for when judging bands. Not just based on my liking.
Shaz, i am happy to read about your son. I know i hope my mom has found memories of me like that.
Tebow train is chugging through denver today. If you ain’t on it yet, just jump on it during the first three quarters because in the fourth its full speed ahead!
Be safe and enjoy the day everyone.
The Bears passing D is porous. I’m hoping that Tebow can get a good passing game going today.
And not to overlook todays game but there is absolutely nothing to say about NE’s passing D; 32nd in the league. Carter was bashing one of their corners saying he couldn’t cover to save his life. Still, the panel said that Miami and Denver should be ‘in the bag’ for the Pats because “The Broncos can’t pass.”
I really wish they would loosen the leash on these sub-par secondaries, especially to utilize Tebow as far as passing goes.
bay you were spot on about RG3, I believe that you were the first to endorse him winning the Hiesman (LOL did you see those socks OMG that was ridiculously funny). I thought that Richardson would get it because of the division he was in, but as someone alluded to 1700 yards aren’t quite the numbers to take it, especially when seeing what RG3 did for Baylor. He carried that team, good call.
LETS GO BRONCOS!
-Royalty
Our Quarterback who art under center,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Tebow come,
Thy game is won
in life, as it is on Madden.
Give us this day our weekly win,
and forgive us for starting Kyle Orton,
as we forgive Kyle Orton for having a neck beard,
and lead us not into defeat,
but deliver us from Josh McDaniels.
Amen.
Haha… That is GREAT!!!
TEBOW be with you…

My wife’s son is a DIE-HARD Raider fan … so passionate, he has a room covered w/ Raider memorabelia (sp?) … he USED to be almost unbearable, but the last few years of futility have definitely humbled him … he’s much more rational and realistic now … but he can’t fathom TT … but – he acknowledges the guys success …
By the way, I’ve bored you to death w/ 2 “cat’s lives” stories … I have more – here’s one:
In 2002 my wife and I went to my older brother’s 50th wedding anniversary in Springfield, MO … it was in October … with my wife driving the rental Chrysler Sebring, we were returning to St Louis to fly back to San Diego … it was a beautiful, p/c fall morning, with very little traffic … we were about 10 miles west of Rolla, and we were overtaking a semi in the slow lane … I looked down to read my newspaper, when all of a sudden I felt a jolt and my wife yelled: “Mike, what do I do?” … as we were going by the semi, either it veered toward her or a pressure change occurred, because the driver-side tires were off the pavement, onto the shoulder … but the shoulder here was very eroded, and maybe 6″ below the level of the pavement … I looked up and had that same thought as the Chevy incident, and I told her to calm down, concentrate, find a spot where the shoulder was better, and slowly bring the car back to the pavement … something happened, and the car JERKED back, which was good, but the car started to fish-tail, which wasn’t good … I looked over at the semi, which was now abreast of us, and it looked for sure like we were going to go right underneath the damn thing … then we heard and felt a jolt, and the rear fender on my side hit something on the semi … my wife totally lost control, the car veered off the road like one of those NASCAR racers swerving and heading for the wall … only here there was now a drop-off … we went flying into space, and when we hit the air-bags deployed … we couldn’t see anything ahead, but that didn’t matter because we were going in a perpendicular direction to the car … as fate would have it, at this place the east and west-bound portions of the highway were separated by at least a hundred yards, and the area between them was big boulders and grass … luckily, it was all grass where we were, and as I looked out my side window, everything was coming toward me … I remember thinking – if we hit some rocks or gravel, this thing is going to start rolling … for some reason I never got scared – it was surreal – I remember thinking this was like an E-ride at Disneyland … when you’re not in control, just enjoy the ride – eh?? … any way, my wife is now screaming, and we’re just keeping on – we ended skidding across all of the grassy area, and out into the fast lane of the west-bound traffic … again – lucky for us – a semi was coming but had plenty of time to pull to a stop … I’m still seeing all of this out of my side window … to wrap it up – the Highway Patrol came, we got the car off the road, left it there, rode w/ the HP guy to Rolla, caught a shuttle to St Louis, cleared things w/ the rental company, and made our flight … my wife was a nervous wreck (for a year, at least) – I was still trying to wrap my arms around what had happened … must have an angel on my shoulder, that’s all I can say … and I’m not even a believer …
So – I really hope the Broncos win today – but in the great scheme of things, it doesn’t matter a whole lot …
Later …
Oh yes – my (already made) prediction for the game today: Broncos 19 – Bears 16 …
Wiemin they are always things in life you dont understand or cant explain just be thankful you survived and live life to the fullest
Thanks, Marsh – AMEN!!!!
