Nice caption: “Fells holds on to the ball.” Needs an asterisk, however, which reads: “except near the goal line in actual games.”
I don’t contribute very much here – but often when I do, I enter something “neat” on the current blog, just as a new blog comes up and I don’t notice it, and so for the most part my comments on the old blog go unnoticed … anyone else have that problem???
When that happens WieminCA, just repost. Read your posts on the past blog. Pretty interesting. But backing up a losing QB is tough for anyone to do.
Fells practicing but quesitonable.
We get Champ back and lose wilhite … who was easily our best FA acquisition. at least its just illness nothign serious. He might be able to go.
Great time for a Bye week. I expect everyone back after the bye week if there are no new injuries or set backs. With a few maybe being questionable like DT Royal and Julius … but this bye week is coming up towards the end of thier recovery … good timing.

I don’t think anyone calls into question his courage to play the game, WieminCA. What many of us call into question is his desire to play the game the way Kurt Warner, John Elway, Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Payton Manning, and many, many others try and play the game. Does he have that kind of drive, desire, intensity, determination not just to play well but to win? Some players have it and become legends, most don’t and become trivia question answers! His drive and intensity, his desire to not only play but to win, those things have absolutely nothing to do with who is around him or how much help they are or are not giving him. That comes from within and only he can decide how much he wants to invest in his legacy. By all appearances at this point, he is not prepared to invest nearly enough to reach the status he wants but that is his decision, nobody else’s. This situation is not his fault nor do I blame him for it. If I blame him for anything, it is not showing the fire necessary to tie this team together into a cohesive group focused on one goal. The coach and the management start that effort but it is the QB’s job to really pull it together since he is the leader on the field where the rubber meets the road. Talking smack from the sidelines doesn’t score a single point, break up a single pass, or make a single tackle. It falls on the QB to start it and the team captains to help hold it together. There in lies the rub, nobody has been able to hold it all together for and entire game except for one and that may have been more accident than plan!

Since we will get blown out this week lets ditch the score prediction and go with an 0rton turnover prediction. I got 2.
this game is hard to figure out. i got us down for a win in the preseason pole but after 4 games and only one win I changed my mind. Then some one on here pointed out that the chargers beat a 0-4, 1-3, and another 0-4 total of 4-12 while scoring only 21 to N E. While we fought teams that are 2-2, 2-2, 3-1, and 4-0. and by3, 3, and 26 (forget the last one) total of 11-5. so I went back to my first gut feeling. we still won’t break the 30 point zone but we win
