Put me down as someone who thinks we will surprise a lot of people by running the ball at least 25+ times a game

I'm not too worried about not having an identity right now. That will be developed over the course of training camp and the season. But if come mid season we're still not certain who we are as a team, then I'll start worrying.

I'm more excited about the type of identity we will have this upcoming season........

But when it all comes down to it..............it will always be Denver Broncos Football!

BFE - I knew you had watched Ballard play.. thx for feedback. There was a small article sometime back on DP and Ballards' name came up possibly as a later selection. Looks like he's built much in the same mold as Doug Martin & Chris Polk. I'm sure he's on their draft board.

Another DT/DE to watch for is Kendall Reyes. He has the speed and athelticism that could be a good fit for Broncos defense. Looks like a 3 tech DT, and versatile like Cox. Comes out of a 4-3 D at UConn.
He's predicted to be drafted in either first or second rd.

Here's an excerpt from CBS Sports on Reyes..

NFL DRAFT SCOUT TOP DOWN DEFENSIVE LINEMEN:
Kendall Reyes, DT, Connecticut, 6-4, 299, 1-2...
"Reyes played both end and tackle in college and didn't impress scouts as a pass-rush threat until he outplayed some of the best offensive linemen in the country at the Senior Bowl. He has good short-area quickness and will win most fights in a phone booth. This ability was demonstrated at the combine, where he hoisted 225 pounds 36 times and surprised scouts with an unofficial 40 time of 4.79. Teams still appreciate his consistency against the run more than his threat as a pass rusher, however. Reyes arrived at Connecticut as a 245-pound, three-sport prep star (including basketball and track) and developed into a big body without losing his quickness and agility. He started 42 games at UConn and finished with 31 ?? tackles for a loss, 10th in school history". - Frank Cooney, The Sports Xchange

Part of me really thinks we’re struggling to find our own identity again. We’re not sure what team we are..are we a pass first or run first..are we going to be pass heavy or run heavy, are we going to be conservative and play good D or be aggressive on both sides of the ball. We have no clue because we don’t know who we are..we thought we knew and then McD happened. Now after last season no one knew and no one knows now. Like I said McD tried to make us NE and now with Manning he might try and make us Indy. I just want us to be the Broncos and establish our own identity.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.........you can't tell me I'm wrong just as much as you can't say for certain you're right. We both have no idea how the run game will play out. And it's not necessarily about the attempts, but the yards gained from those attempts that you have to take into consideration as well. The potential yards per carry is what I'm intruiged about.

The Broncos really don’t have a choice because they’re going to let Manning run the offense the way he wants. If we pass the ball 50+ times a game than that’s what we will do. We all knew with Manning coming to the Broncos our offense isn’t McCoy’s anymore it is Peyton’s.
