The Broncos bolstered their defense on Thursday, signing free agent defensive lineman Jason Hunter.
Hunter, a fifth-year pro out of Appalachian State, has racked up 66 tackles and 7 sacks in 56 career games with Green Bay and Detroit.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a career season with the Lions in 2009, notching 34 tackles and five sacks in 14 games, including nine starts.
Detroit released Hunter on Monday, two days after he recorded a pair of tackles in the team’s preseason-opening loss in Pittsburgh. The Broncos host Hunter’s former team on Saturday in their preseason home opener.

I tell anyone and everyone who would listen that Kyle Otorn is a very good Qb. I am glad he is our starting Qb. and very happy he was signed to an extension. This year will be even better for him than last year because he knows the Offense much better. He will make much quicker and better reads while making less mistakes. He will spread the ball around and this Broncos Offense will shine bright if the line can protect Orton and open lanes for our Rbs. I am excited to see what we do this year. I think Kyle will exceed his stats from last year. Go Broncos 2010……IWILLX2
IS THIS GUY GOOD???? OH AND HOW LONG IS CLADY OUT FOR??
orton is good as long as its not a pass over thirty yards but with in that he is awesome but in the nfl the defense has to scared of the long ball and orton does not have a home run ball if he did hed be up there with manning, brady, rivers, brees so on and so forth
