Head to Sports Authority Field at Mile High Early

September 16th, 2011 - 5:12pm by Gray Caldwell

As you make your way to Sports Authority Field at Mile High for this Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Broncos are encouraging fans to arrive a little earlier.

Last week, the NFL recommended enhanced security procedures at the stadium gates, which will increase the comfort and safety of fans at the game, but also might require additional time for inspection upon entering the stadium.

So if you’re headed to the game, be sure to come a little earlier than you have in the past.

I hope I make the hall of shame this week cuz we win lol

  2. RabidOrange says:

Ok, I’ve got a joke. You all ready? Stop me if you’ve heard this one before…

  3. imready says:

Wife just called from Denver, she won two 6th row seats for the game against the Chiefs on New Years day. We must be living right! Go Broncos !

  4. RabidOrange says:

So Kyle Orton walks into a defensive lineman…

  5. RabidOrange says:

    And John Fox says….

    (are you ready)

“This guy gives us the best chance to win!”

  6. RabidOrange says:

And this has been your daily dose of cynicism from me. Thank you very much… Semper Broncos!!

  7. armadillo_orton says:

I’m watching the CU-CSU game. CSU just scored on a QB run. It’s amazing what can happen when your QB can actually run..
Watching orton is like when I watched Willie Joe Namath play in NY (and the Rams in his last year), his knees were shot. The poor guy tried to make things happen but he got blasted by the opposing defenses. Mobile qb’s = fun…. Lead feet = losses

  8. armadillo_orton says:

Oh my gosh, I just felt a strong breeze….. Hey Franklin, can you go pick Orton up off the ground…

The last time I heard “the best chance to win” I didn’t like it 5 years ago. Why does it seem, like no matter who is running the show, we keep regurgiating the same things, over and over again.

I don’t miss Shanahan, and those that are pointing towards Washington after week 1, seem to be the same crowd as those talking about our loss that Monday Night was just one week, one game, etc. Common demoniator? It’s always just one week when you lose. Well these one weeks at a time, are tiring.

  10. stevecan2 says:

I meant *first time and that was referencing a spotty roster move.

  11. stevecan2 says:

Man, I hope that JJ can capitolize on what we saw flashes of in Preseasn. McGahee, no disrespect to him, cause I like his run style but just doesn’t make a feature back. Remember the headache when Buck became more of a feature back because of Morenos injuries? Same thing this time around.

  12. armadillo_orton says:

    Fun Tebow – Orton facts:
“In his last 12 quarters of regular season football, Orton has thrown for one touchdown pass, been sacked 10 times, lost three fumbles, rushed for 18 yards and no touchdowns, and put a total of 39 points on the board. In his last 12 quarters, Tebow has thrown four touchdown passes, been sacked six times, rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns, and did not lose a fumble. With Tebow at quarterback, the Broncos scored almost twice as many points as they did under Orton (75-39).”

  13. armadillo_orton says:

“The facts show that Tim Tebow is ahead of many of the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks at this point in his career, and that the Broncos are more competitive with Tebow at quarterback than with Kyle Orton.

In his three regular season NFL starts, Tebow outperformed Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Steve Young, Troy Aikman and John Elway in their first three starts. Tebow did all that while leading a 3-10 team that had nothing left to play for, a team that had lost eight of its last nine games with Orton at quarterback.
Tebow’s NFL rating of 82.70 is more than double that of Aikman (38.43) and Elway (38.53), and superior to Brady’s (77.23). Data kept by the NFL also blows up the media-created myth that Tebow can’t pass. In his three starts, Tebow threw for more yards (651) than Brady (618) or Elway (313). Manning threw for 32 more yards than Tebow, but it took him 33 more attempts to do it. Tebow also threw for more touchdowns than the other five quarterbacks.

In addition to being a better passer, Tebow also ran for three touchdowns, one a game-winner, while the other five quarterbacks did not run for a single touchdown.

Tebow instantly made the Broncos a more competitive team. For example, last year the Broncos lost their first game to Oakland, 59-14. In that game, Orton was sacked four times, threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown, fumbled, and had a passer rating of 73.6. And that was a home game.

Six games later in Oakland, Tebow made his first NFL start against a Raider team in the playoff hunt. Tebow had the highest passer rating in the history of the Denver Broncos for a professional debut (100.5). In his very first game, Tebow became only the third player in NFL history to throw for a touchdown over 30 yards and run for a touchdown over 40 yards. He did not throw an interception or fumble. And he had the Broncos within 3 points in the fourth quarter before Oakland prevailed.”

take from the post’s opinions section

  14. armadillo_orton says:

If this not clear for everyone, I’ll be holding a special class soon.

**These messages were brought to you by concerned fans for change**

  15. stevecan2 says:

but your forgetting armadillo, too many people already buried deep in the sand with their opinions on Tebow, no amounts of TD’s, wins, etc can over come that. He can’t throw, he can’t be a pocket passer, he can’t ect… So more of the same, no matter what Tebow does, and yet these very same people bash us (Tebow) supporters because we won’t let go until Tebow gets his shot. And guarenteed, no one here or elsewhere that hates the man, will give him 7 years to prove himself.

  16. stevecan2 says:

Or at least after leading a team to an 11-18 record that says he’s playing the best football of his career, the benefit of the doubt saying that he will improve.

  17. rockney says:

I’m sick and tired of outfits like the NFL taking themselves WAY too seriously. Don’t we get enough intrusion in our society with the (utterly worthless) TSA, phone companies tapping our calls, cell phone companies tracking our movements, and a completely ridiculous ongoing campaign of fear mongering. So now we’re supposed to put up with someone feeling us up for a football game?!?! So they’re going to piss-off and waste the time of over 16 million people because some fool somewhere took a stun gun to a game?? Or is it that the vendors are complaining that too many people are bringing food and drink so they’re not making enough money?

It’s overblown, over reacting, overbearing, and over the top. I WILL NOT submit. It’s an invasion of privacy and completely unnecessary.

  18. baylinorcrush says:

Even though I knew the majority of that, it was a very concised piece written by however it was in the Post’s opinion section, those kind of intelligent fact backing arguments for Tebow go a heck of a longer way into making their points than the countless agressive rants that we often see here, thanks for finding that armadillo.

  19. baylinorcrush says:

That one is good enough to mail to EFX.

  20. armadillo_orton says:

Thanks Baylinocrush… I am mainly kinding around on here. I love Denver and I love the Broncos…. I want to have fun… I would be excited to be watching D. Hackney or BVP at QB right now. I am very frustrated on our team’s lack of guts in making a QB move.. They say they care about us FANS, but they roll out a QB that we all are sick and tired of. Especially when there is NOTHING to be gained from his starts. Nothing… There is a clock counting down until next years draft, and I for one do not want to pass on a potential N. SUH if we have a possible solution sitting on the bench.. I want us to find a stud Mike linebacker, and a stud interior lineman… I want to have fun!!! Orton = no fun. Every start that Orton takes, is one less start that we have to evaluate our back-up qb’s.. Orton is a freakin 7 year vet… He is what he is.. A QB that no-one in the league is willing to trade for… Everything else right now doesn’t matter…. I VOTE FOR CHANGE

  21. strandoftds says:

Man Armadillo, those are some important facts, and facts don`t lie. What is EFX thinking anyway, I really want to know.

  22. RabidOrange says:

Welcome to the choir loft, Rev. armadillo

  23. strandoftds says:

    new blod on JJ.

  24. strandoftds says:

  26. robsterclaw says:

It should not take 35 minutes in line to get through a gate. Hire more people, open those other gates that were locked, and get people in. If you want there to be a better more thorough search, then hire more people to do it. It was more messed up than going through airport security. Charge the NFL if you have to, but it was not a good experience.
